Nice hotel. The fire alarm went off twice in the morning without getting any explenation.

Great stay was well within walking distance of nice pubs restaurants and venue O2 City Hall. Room was small with a view to the back, slightly noisy when emptying waste trucks and logistic traffic. Room was very warm even opened the window hence the noise heard. Was value for money all amenities needed would stay there again. Breakfast looked nice but didn't stop for it saw as we walked through to check out.

Hotel staff don't respect the "don't disturb" sign you put on the door, both days staff kept knocking and the first day a staff member (from the reception) unlocked the door and walked inn.

Convenient location ie for shops, castle, transport links (railway station/metro). I had a good sized room with nice en suite. Hairdryer & kettle in room + tea/coffee but more milk would've been handy. Ground floor has seating/bar area, inc outside seating. Reception staff polite, helpful.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic, attentive staff. Room was spotless. Despite loads of university students partying at the nearby clubs, the hotel was very quiet and well-insulated. Never heard a peep of outside noise.

Loved my stay here. I travelled for 6 hours and needed a decent sleep. This hotel is in the centre of Newcastle yet lovely and quite. Really enjoyed my quiet comfortable sleep and lovely buffet breakfast the next morning.

Excellent - all city hotels should be as good as this. Don't be put off by the slightly seedy surroundings - once inside it's a different world. Convenient for public transport - easy level walk to railway station. Great breakfast choice, all good quality. Pleasant lounge area.

Lovely hotel, great staff, comfy bed, clean and tidy. Could do with an upgrade, or at least a full upgrade as I think the photos show upgraded rooms but we felt we got an older room. Still clean and tidy but burn marks in the carpets and marks on the walls in the bathroom. Didn't feel dirty and the bed was well made and very comfy and did us for the purpose we were there. Not a five star hotel but did the job. Skip breakfast though. If necessary, pay for it at the time of booking but £13.50 per person for continental is a bit steep. Brilliant wee cafe on the corner (left as you come out the hotel and walk towards the main road) called blakes and it was fantastic. 2 full breakfasts with a juice, coffee and water was £20. Would consider the hotel in future if we needed a cheap space for the night.

Hotel room was very clean and tidy, reasonably priced and near local amenities and and staff very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was dog friendly and a very good price. The staff were friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast very good. Excellent value and excellent facilities.

The staff are very friendly and helpful...always. We have stayed here twice. The hotel has an amazing Continental breakfast buffet, if you chose that option. Train station, restaurants, grocery store are all within a few minutes walk. We would definitely stay here again.

Great central location. No parking on site so you'll have to walk approx 10mins with your cases from carpark to hotel. Qpark is approx £20 for 24 hours. Lovely modern looking hotel with friendly helpful staff. Continental style breakfast seemed expensive for what you got. Room lacked a few basic things- decent mirror with a plug next to it and extractor in the bathroom. Worst bit was the room hadn't been hoovered so was a bit messy. Toe nail next to a chair also ! Despite the comments we'd stay again due to its proce and central location.

Excellent value for money!

I recently stayed at Motel One in Newcastle upon Tyne and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Firstly, the room was not clean; there were visible dust and stains on the furniture and bedding. The bathroom was equally dirty, with mold in the shower and an unpleasant odor. The staff were unhelpful and rude when I raised my concerns. They seemed indifferent to the issues and offered no solutions or compensation. The overall customer service was very poor. Additionally, the noise levels were unbearable. The walls were paper-thin, and I could hear everything from the adjacent rooms and the hallway, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The location, although central, did not make up for the lack of cleanliness and poor service. I would not recommend staying at this hotel and will not be returning.
