Great location, right down the street from Hakata Station, however not many, if any, yatai's around (they do offer a map of where many are located with helpful notes on which accept card and where bathrooms would be accessed). Able to accept and send luggage from one hotel to the next, check in was easy and let us keep our luggage there before check in time (3pm). A little small room, not uncommon in Japan, typical room, able to store bags under bed. They have a laundry machine (with detergent) and a microwave in room! That was great to have! Walking distance to Lawsons, family Mart and 7/11. The breakfast was nice, attendance fluctuated, some days were super busy and others weren't. They offered a fair selection and replenished quickly. There was a fire alarm at around midnight one of our nights there, it was orderly but there was lack of English so we weren't sure what was going on or what they were telling us to do. They did try their best, and were even apologetic about the lack of English, as well as the fact that the alarm was rung and we had to wait outside until firefighters gave us the clearance (about an hour), they even apologized during check out. Overall I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again, would like to see if they have larger rooms available or offered as it was hard for 2 large suitcases to be in the room.

I enjoyed my stay. The staff were amazing. The fire alarm activated in the middle of the night, but the staff handled the situation very well. I do not speak Japanese, however a member of the staff spoke a little english and made my stay very convenient. I would gladly stay at this establishment again.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The only thing I did not like was that you had to remove the key card in order to turn off all the lights. This also turned off the AC, and the room got hot and stale overnight.

Surrounding is slience. It is easy to find a parking space .

Location is great with easy access to every means of travel. Room is a bit small.

Very noisy where locate near the train rail

Just a great stay with no problems. Hotel looks new and modern. My room was a bit small but normal by Japanese standards. Really easy to get here from Hakata Station. I come to Fukuoka often this is place is better then most of the other places I've stayed at. Next time I come, this will be the first place I I try to book with. I didn't get her name but my housekeeper on the 10th floor

Very convenient hotel, easy to access. Walking distance to Hakata station, able to take almost all transportation to the whole Japan. The best part I like - washing machine in the room. This is great for travellers

The hotel is close to the JR track which is pretty annoying, it would be better if the window is soundproof. The room is smaller than I thought, and the washing machine cannot function properly.

It was very good. The rooms in Japan are on the smaller size so you need to check out the size of the room before booking.

a superb hotel within walking distance to hakata station. everything about this hotel is good including the front desk and the breakfast. English is not an issue here. Fully recommend for couples or a small group of friends.

We loved having our own private washer/dryer in our room. It made it super easy to just start a load of laundry right before we left for the day and even wash a load while we slept. I'd like to give 5 stars but for some reason our bathroom constantly had faint smell of sewage.

The service is good. It's convenient because there is a washing dryer machine in the room. We'll still choose this hotel again if we go to Japan in the future

I loved my stay at this hotel. Great value for the price paid. Staff were great, room with washer was super convenient. The noise from train that other reviewers mentioned isn't too bad. Unless you're and ultra light sleeper it shouldn't cause too much of a problem. Only con for me is that it's not super close to the train station, about a 10-15 min walk so can be a bit troublesome with luggage. But again this is a very small issue because the location was still great surrounded by little cafes/food places and convenience stores.

My second time with the hotel. This is my favourite hotel in Hakata! Rooms always very clean and I love that every room comes with a washer/dryer! Also very convenient as it's just a simple flatland walk from Hakata Station in just 10mins.

Tokyu Stay chains are always reliable. Tucked in a quiet street approximately 10 min from the train station. Rooms were spacious, staff were helpful. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again

Very good hotel near Hakata Station. In-room washer/dryer is great (though a full cycle takes several hours). Buffet breakfast was tasty. Check in staff was quick and friendly. Check out quickly done via machine.

Always enjoyed our stay at Tokyu Stay Hakata and will be back again for sure. Staff services were excellent and often accommodate guests requests of support.

New and cleanliness of the hotel.

For the price, it is not a good value. The room is smallish and since the railroad is nearby, can be noisy to a sensitive person. But for me, a really disappointing thing is their policy for lost room card. We received two plain looking room cards and I lost one of them. I did not worry because I think it was not a big deal. However, they charged 2000 yen (not 200) when check out. I have stayed in countless hotels in many countries but never imagined a hotel chaege that kind of money for a lost card key. And they did not warn of this policy when check in. If you are prone to lose keys, stay away from this hotel.

Tokyu Stay is my favorite hotel chain and this location meets my expectations. Comfy and clean. It's not as "happening" of an area as, say, Tenjin, but there are a lot of restaurants nearby, a few conbinis, and JR Hakata Station has a crazy number of ramen shops. The walk from the station at night is nice, a small park nearby, etc.
