This is an excellent place to stay in the Richmond area when passing through for business, shopping, appointments, etc. It's very well kept, efficient, comfortable and well priced. Location is great too.

Excellent HI Xpress. We got seriously delayed in construction traffic so called ahead and they checked us in since we didn’t arrive until 12:40am. Really nice.

During this trip we stayed with Holiday Inn Express twice. In each one we requested a handicapped accessible room. In each we were given a room with one grab bar in the shower, no grab bars around the toilet and a toilet much too low. That is not accessible and I didn't if it is ADA compliant. We have learned our lesson. No more.

Overall great experience, IF I did have to complain it would be about the lack of lighting turning into the property. I don't believe it's the hotels lights but the lights on the surrounding property in order to get to the hotel if that makes sense. Thank goodness for 20/20 and no other cars around lol. Overall, we'll be back

The employees were friendly and helpful. The hotel presents as very new. Everything looks fresh, clean and new. I've never been to a hotel where i felt the room was so clean. Our stay was very comfortable

The one and only issue. We arrived at dark and the city has no street lights on the entrance road. When the GPS said turn here, I couldn’t even see a road

We were in town for a wedding and got there late at night. The lobby was very clean and the attendant very polite. Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was great- would highly recommend!

Stayed 2 nights. Appreciated that the breakfast choices were slightly different each day. Staff was very friendly.
One thing to note, if the cleaning staff see you leave the room on checkout day, but you have not checked out, they will come in and start cleaning.
If looking for another stay in the Short Pump area we would stay here again.

The staff was friendly and helpful. It was evident that not every part of the room was cleaned. There was a ball of hair on the seat of the chair. There was a spot on the desk that was sticky.

The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly - The rooms had some challenges - bad smell, broken drawers and guests smoking pot under our window which came through the air conditioning. Staff quickly moved us and the second room smelt bad and the drawers were broken. Third room was good - but upon check out the elevator was broken and had to carry luggage down three flights of stairs with multiple trips.

overall the stay was okay. i gave it a poor rating because i came down there for a special occasion
and we got locked out our room for almost an hour which caused us to have to pay an ADDITIONAL fee to what was already paid prior to. we had to wait for maintenance to get off lunch for them to fix our room door. i asked to be compensated but the manager only offered me points since i booked through a third party. also we were not able to log in on the wifi our whole stay. overall, the hotel was clean.

Booked and prepaid the hotel through Expedia for 5 nights. Stayed 1 night and had to leave for an emergency. Hotel refused to even give me a checkout receipt. I emailed and called both Expedia and the hotel to confirm checkout and get a partial refund. Expedia and the hotel kept my 5 nights even though I checked out after 1 night and immediately informed both that I had to leave. They both tried to blame the other for keeping my money. Still have not even received a partial refund. Very unlikely to do business with either in the future.

My family of four enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was very good with a variety of food and beverages. We were only there for one night and called housekeeping in the morning about an hour before checking out to get towels for everyone in our party, which were never delivered.
