If you bypass this property, you are making a HUGE mistake! It is literally an oasis in WV. The host is the bomb too! I would stay there over ANY motel/hotel. There’s a grocery store around the corner so you can prepare anything you want in the awesome kitchen. Book today!

Your hospitality was unmatched. Everything was graciously stocked. Completely pet friendly for those folks who love their pets so much they take them on vacation. JD the host is a true gentleman and a fine example of what West Virginia represents. You really wanted for nothing. The accommodations are amazing. Although we were just there for one night, the spaciousness, cleanliness and comfort of the place made sure that the next time we come through the area this will be our top pick.

I have stayed at a lot of rentals and this was by far the most welcoming stay. What a special treat to arrive to a personalized sign and special snacks. My kiddos and pup were in awe. The place was immaculate and so so comfortable. Loved all of the special touches.

This home was a perfect place to rest and refresh! It was exceptionally clean and well appointed. It was nicely decorated and made you feel comfortable and at home. I felt pampered wth the luxurious towels, bed linens and beautiful bathrooms. The kitchenware is well stocked for cooking. The hosts go the extra mile with beverages, and snacks. I would highly recommend it for people staying in the Charleston area.

The Sparrows Nest was very clean and comfortable! The owners were so accommodating as I have a health condition where I can’t be around heavy scents or perfumes. They went out of their way to wash the bedding with non scented laundry soap. And rinsed the floors with water to make sure there was no residual smells.They communicated with me prior to our stay to make sure it would be a safe pleasant place for me to stay. The vrbo was very comfortable and had everything you needed. Plus, had some thoughtful extras upon arrival. I loved the wrap around porch up in the trees. We saw Blue birds, Cardinals & squirrels. It was a nice quiet neighborhood but not far from restaurants or stores. If are staying in the Charleston area, I highly recommend it. We will definitely be staying again.

We had the very best stay! This home is everything you could want and more. Clean, very well stocked, beautiful location tucked away in the woods, cozy and warm. We loved our stay with our family and dogs with plenty of space for our dogs to run. The home had the most beautiful detail with everything we could need! We highly recommend and will share this home with friends and family passing through the area. A must stay!

We were on a long road trip and decided at the last minute to overnight in Charleston, WV. It was 5 P and the VRBO app would not allow me to investigate options for that night. We had our dog with us and preferred not to go to a hotel. So I looked at next night availability and messaged the owner, JD, to see if he would take us at this late time. JD responded within 5 min ( maybe less) with a resounding YES and in an hour we were on their doorstep! I really didn’t look closely at the pictures on the website until afterwards- they don’t accurately reflect how beautiful or perfect this place is! It is amazing!! Everything was top notch from the moment we opened the door to see a bottle of wine next to a personalized welcome note. JD had things set up for our dog, there were snacks, the cupboards had spices, and there were cooking items that helped make a small dinner. The bed and furniture were very comfortable, the towels were luxurious. The only thing I didn’t pick up on was this is an upstairs apartment with outdoor stairs and a beautiful wrap around porch. It turned out to be absolutely fine and there are photos to support this. But, like I said, I didn’t look that closely. We actually discussed returning to the area to vacation JUST based on this beautiful home and the lovely WV magazines JD had on the coffee table that I leafed through while sitting outside on that porch, wrapped in a blanket. Thanks JD!!

The house was clean, welcoming and had everything we needed for our stay! The owners were friendly and responsive and the checkin process was simple. Would definitely stay here again!

This was such a great find. We came for a quick visit and were so happy with this spot. Super cute, clean and well equipped. The host was wonderful, answered all are question. This definitely a great place to stay!
