A stunning character hotel very well maintained with a modern touch and great areas to sit and work or simply lounge about. Serving free 24x7 coffee, tea, water in a very nice lounge area. Complementary port is served in the bar area and in your room. Superb breakfast. Above all, Joaquim Rua and the team, in particular Generosa (hard to believe she is a trainee - not for long!) were absolutely amazing. We were so glad we chose this property after considering many others, and we can't wait to be back here.

Staff lovely the only issue was the smell in our room. The drains are very smelly and wasn't nice to come home to after a long day. Apart from that sdaff, rooms, breakfast, drinks everything was lovely.

The rooms was nice as well as the cleanliness level. However, the key did not work to the lock when I returned late and it took almost an hour to get the door open. Also, the roof & likely the walls are like paper - other customers from upstairs started making noises 6.30am and I couldn't sleep after. I could even hear every word of the discussion.. even though the customers were very loud, it is not normal to hear everything and that front desk said they cannot do anything (not even ask them to be more quiet). The breakfast was ok, but quality & quantity rather poor

This hotel was a real find! It is kept exceptionally clean and the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. The room size was perfectly adequate for us. There's shampoo, shower gel, soap and body lotion provided and the shower is lovely and powerful. There's aircon and the windows open wide for those who love a bit of fresh air!.There is a comfortable lounge area on the ground floor where you can purchase freshly made snacks and drinks. The roof terrace is a relaxing area to sit after a long day of exploring. There's a little bar which I think must be seasonal so we brought our own drinks up there to enjoy the evening sunset. The location of the hotel is ideal for those who enjoy exploring on foot. It is walking distance to the Old Town, the castle, museums, etc. Also, there are numerous shops, markets, cafes & restaurants nearby. Please note: try to avoid the airport taxis if you can! They will rip you off!! It should cost max 15-20 Euros to get to the hotel (approx 4miles). Airport taxis charge in excess of 45 Euros.

Liked everything. Super place and outstanding staff. I had stayed here in 2016 and came back and everything is just as good if not better.

A classic hotel with wonderful location walkable to central district. Staff friendly and helpful. Room a little dated but clean and functional. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Reasonably priced.
