We loved the location and were able to walk everywhere! The desk staff was welcoming and very helpful. We had lunch in the Pub and it was excellent.

We loved the location and easy walking options to many of the local sights. The hotel was clean and well managed. The staff was always friendly and we never had any concerns

Some of the furniture was a bit dated but it was still usable just overly worn in some areas. The chair in the king bedroom had peeling leather.

Location was good for touring local shops,restaurants etc.

There is NO PARKING on site, it is a 5-8 min walk and you have to pay for it. We were not able to carry our luggage that far, we had to just carry our essentials.

It was too loud too sleep. There was what seemed to be a stag party next to us each night, and there was no one at the desk when we tried to ask for help to control the noise. There was constant noise late into the night, and banging on the walls was our last resort - it only helped calm things for awhile.

No cell phone charging in the room, and the TV (which we did not turn on) is placed where we, if the sofa were there instead, could have had views of the bay.

Great location. Comfy bed, liked that the room had a kitchenette. Good shower.

The pipes in the building were pretty noisy. I was in room 204 and it was very loud. At one point I got out of bed because I was sure a tap in my room was on but it was just the noise in the pipes.

We recently stayed at this heritage hotel and was impressed with the building's charm and history. The location was also fantastic, with easy access to many local attractions.

However, I must admit that the sound insulation left something to be desired. I could hear noise from the pub downstairs and conversations from the rooms next door, which made it difficult to sleep at times. Overall, while the hotel has many great features, if you are a light sleeper or prefer a quieter stay, it may not be the best choice for you

oven didn’t work, had to wash our own dishes before we checked out, sofa uncomfortable, chairs at table were torn and needed replacing. the attached pub arbitrarily closed early on Christmas Eve and we had a reservation that we found out upon arrival was no good, leaving us to walk around Victoria on Christmas Eve at 8:15 at night to find something to eat. the whole experience was bad.

Unique suites above this perfectly located pub, brewery and hotel make for a one of a kind stay. It is within walking distance of so many great eateries and shops, it was just hard to leave the cozy pub right downstairs.

Don’t expect en suites and modern accommodations, just enjoy the squeaky floors of this classic building.
