The old key box/code should be removed. There is no soundproofing between the bedroom & the kitchen.

it is decorated to the latest spec, very comfortable beds, everything you will ever need, gorgeous house, would recommend. Loved it.

Clean and spotless, even for someone like me who is a bit of a clean-freak! The location was fantastic - central to everything so there was no need to drive at all and search / pay for parking. Two bedrooms with en-suites as well as a main bathroom ensured there was no need to wait for showers / toilets to be free - important when there were eight of us getting ready in the mornings! Showers were powerful which is also a big thing for me. An unexpected, lovely surprise was that Netflix and Prime were available in all the seven (we counted, lol) tvs in the house. Totally recommend!

We did our laundry so it would have been helpful for a clothes horse to be available to hang the washing out. We used the chairs to drape our clothes over.

The location was ideal for us, close to the city centre without being in the city centre. We all had a room a piece which was ideal, which were clean and modern and enough facilities for us to all share. A short walk and you were near local shops and pubs which was great, which meant were with hit with touristy pricing, a short drive you were on the ring road to get to where ever you wanted to go.

Could have done with a small light to illuminate the key box, as black push buttons and numbers in the dark is tricky. Could have done without the nosey neighbour (mate of property owner, allegedly) coming over and rattling the 'side gate' to tell us that the bollards dropped (as if we didn't know) to make parking easier, as he thought we were struggling to reverse in-between them to park. Insulting comment to professional drivers, once you can reverse park a 44t lorry, a small 9seat minibus is no problems. Was a little surprised to see the outside of the property was covered by cctv, which I wasn't made aware of when booking, but seeing what we heard, smelt and saw going on in the street and speaking to some locals down the pub it made sense, but was it recording when we were there? It would have been nice to have been informed that someone would be about to take out the wheelie bin, not to find they had let themselves in via the side gate and done it when we were not there.

The house was perfect. The location was fantastic. Great facilities bedrooms beautiful decorated and bathrooms. Would stay again.

location was perfect, car did not move off the drive for the whole stay! Rooms all very clean, decent showers in spacious bathrooms, comfy beds

genuinely the only minor thing was a lack of oven proof dishes (we wanted to make lasagne) but with so many places to eat around the city not all guests will even open the oven door I’m sure :)

Hope House was a lovely property and amble room for the 10 of us. The location of the house was fantastic, we were able to walk into York city centre, the walls and also to local shops. The beds were very comfortable and it was ideal to have most of the beds separated to make single beds instead of doubles. Little extras was appreciated, i.e. a chocolate placed on fluffy/large towels on each bed. Also there was amble glasses, including champagne glasses in the cupboard. All in all a fab stay.
