We had a family group with grandparents, parents and kids ranging from 13 to under 2 years. We were able to take advantage of a lot of what the place had to offer. From the piano to the pool table and ping pong we did a lot of back and forth between the house, playing outside and the barn. I recommend making sure to get the checkin orientation. We were traveling remotely and did not get the email to meet the property manager so I feel that we missed out on some good information. We will not make that mistake again. Overall the stay was comfortable and everyone enjoyed themselves. We would consider another stay. 🙂

If you didn't have a good time, you didn't stay here. My husband & I, our son & wife, and mom got together to bbq and enjoyed a stay-cation. The location is just off a main road, conveniently located with access to I-5, gas stations, convenience & grocery stores, all while providing a counter feel. There are plenty of activies including fishing from the walking distance dock, driving golf balls from the back deck, ping pong, pool, croquet, giant connect 4, music, and SO much more! The outdoor space allows for creativity and the fireplace was a lot if fun to gather around in the evening. The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes, Silverware, condiments & more. Gas bbq on the ba k deck was a hit!! Our busy family doesn't often connect as much as we'd like due to both time constraints & logistics. This venue provided an economical, local, and truly home-like feel that we all agreed we'd re-visit. As such, we've already booked another mini vacation next year! This may just be our annual home-away-from-home stay-cation venue. Communication with the owner is seamless. They reply immediately & reach out quickly when changes have been made. I've stayed at several rental locations and this was one of the beat experiences I've had. The family agrees. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests. We enjoyed morning coffee on the back porch watching wild turkeys, deer, hawks and hummingbirds in the back field. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting on the dock watching the river pass by. And of course my daughters loved playing ping pong at night in the barn. This was a perfect place for a relaxing and refreshing family vacation.

This home was so nice to stay in. Having all the outside space was lovely and the activities in the barn were so great to have to keep the family busy after going to the lake.

Scott was very accommodating and very quick to respond to any questions. He was a pleasure to meet and show us the little quirks of the property which was extremely helpful. The space was clean and had all of the necessities for a few night stay. The property was expansive with a cool barn , river access and tons of space for the fur baby to roam! Would definitely recommend.

This is my second stay at this property, and its just as wonderful as the first time! Off the main road, idyllic, golf driving range off the back deck. Stay here if you want to feel like your at home without being at home!

The property is amazing. Did a little fishing, hitting balls and used the barn and all amenities offered. Easy check-in/out process. Very clean.

Great place to stay, well laid out, and a lot of fun activities on the property. Don't miss the barn, the river, and a fun time swinging a golf club out into the meadow.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Some things that the listing did not include is that the North Street bridge goes right over the property. Coupled with the property being right under the flight path of airplanes taking off and landing, the sounds of the city were deferentially present throughout the stay.

We absolutely loved staying at this property! The house was clean and felt like home. Having access to the river and places to explore was the topping on the cake. The host was so accommodating and very friendly. We would definitely come back.

Loved: the layout of the house, golf off the back porch, enough room for us all, a great air conditioner, a peace-filled home, mama deer and babies, turkeys, geese overhead, and great photo spots to take our Christmas photos early. Could do better: Spiders, lots of them inside and outside.

We had a great time here. Scott was always available to text and he would respond very quickly. I personally loved the fire pit area. It was behind the house in a private spot and my dog and I enjoyed it for three nights in a row. Lots of firewood available. The fire pit itself was huge and perfect for us. The property also had a lot of acreage to explore and was close to the Sacramento River. They had a nice little floating dock, too. All in all, a very comfortable place.

everyone wants to come back next years

This is a perfect place to spend your holidays. Scott is very kind, attentive and responsive to all our needs. The house itself is located on the banks of Sacramento river on a huge property with a Golf range and a huge Barn. Barn is a mini museum, with vintage horse cart and a tractor. There's a lot of history attached to this property. Kids and adults had good fun staying in this property. I would definitely recommend to stay here if you are visiting Mt Shasta or Lassen or anywhere around. Thanks again Scott for the wonderful hospitality.

This property is beautiful! We stayed for 3 nights and had an amazing time. The house is even better than described, and was perfect for our family. Plenty of room for everyone. The barn kept us all busy, with something fun for everyone! The creek and river are nature at its best. Scott could not have been any nicer, or more helpful. We will absolutely be staying at this property again!

Located in a great location for a fishing trip on the river. Scott, the owner, was great at check-in and very helpful. Just up the road was Kent's Market - recommended by Scott for groceries and Friday night BBQ! We had a great stay at Scott's house on the river!

This was our first time booking a home through VRBO and the experience was great. Scott, the host, was so nice. He met us at the property and showed us around his beautiful home and property. He had great stories and referred us to the best steak house!! Home was super clean. Lots to do on his land that spending a day or two of your vacation on the property is definitely worth it and fun!! We enjoyed shooting golf balls, fishing, and just sitting outside in chairs talking. Scott is a great host and we look forward to returning next year!

Comfortable, welcoming, a place we felt comfortable just being a family. 6 adults, an 18 month old and 5 month old. Perfect outside area to play. Spacious inside, with a table we could all eat together at.. no complaints at all.

Very nice property we had a great time

My family of four, plus our dogs, stayed for a week at Scott's Sacramento River House. Scott greeted us at check in for a tour of the property. He is a great host, available and very friendly. The kitchen was fully stocked, the toiletries were fully stocked and the store is only 5 minutes away if you need anything that's not there. The barn was amazing. Perfect for get together with family or friends. The kids loved the pool table and ping pong table. The husband lived the golf tee. We would definitely stay there again.
