Very nice property, however the driveway is really steep, 4x4 car is needed to get up it. Other than that, the stay was awesome.

There are many positives here: a responsive property manager, many outlets for recharging devices, granite counter tops in the kitchen, a Wolf gas stove (wow), double sinks in the master bath (excuse me, according to HGTV it’s now called primary bath), a wonderful shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water, and a Weber grill on the back porch, etc. Morning coffee on the front deck is very relaxing but the sun is imposing. Bring a hat/cap (I forgot mine). In the morning, the house is quickly warmed by the sun from nighttime lows and retains heat well. Lower the shades to prevent the home from getting too warm. We set the thermostats at 66 and rarely had to touch them. Over the years, we’ve stayed in many fine mountain homes, and this is one of them. To me, it’s a structural feat builders can create these large, fabulous properties on such remote, sloped lots. I know it’s done all the time, but it is still impressive. We had a great stay here.

If you want to see mountains in Colorado this is the place to stay. Sipping coffee on the deck looking at snow covered mountains was the relaxation I needed. Star gazing from the hot tub was incredible.

Awesome stay!! Cabin is perfect for a week long Colorado stay with family. We appreciated the gate at the top of the stairs so 18mo old could still walk around freely. Extremely well kept cabin and enjoyed the constant view of Pikes Peak. Heated floors throughout instead of central HVAC was super neat on the cold mornings. Layout of cabin and furnishings make this place really feel like home and was super enjoyable for my family. If you stay you won’t want to leave!! Garden of Gods, Cheyenne Mtn Zoo, Cripple Creek, Castlerock Outlets, Mueller State Park, Woodland Park just a few of our experiences during the stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. Michael was great to work with and very accomodating. We came from the city to get away and absolutely loved the peace and quiet. And it is hard to beat a starry night sky like what you can see there! There are plenty of fun activities nearby, and it is also easy to just spend a day relaxing in the cabin itself.

The MOST comfortable bed, linens and pillows! We enjoyed the game room and evenings on the deck underneath the beautiful stars. A-W-E-S-O-M-E , but do not forget your toiletries. The house was beautiful and clean, everything you could need for a family! Wonderful views of Pikes Peak from the wrap around porch. We loved the kids room and toys/games and really enjoyed the hot tub. Massive Master bath was a treat and there was a super cute coffee shop (Wild Horses) only a couple minutes away. Hope we can return in the future to this great property!

Quiet Driveway was a bit steep. Property was beautiful

We absolutely loved our stay at Bear Cub Lodge. We were with extended family and there was plenty of room for our party of 8. There were many options for recreation at the cabin, and also great proximity to all of the Pikes Peak region attractions. We loved sitting out on the deck admiring the beautiful view and enjoying the wildlife. The kitchen was so spacious and well-stocked, and we easily made all of our meals during our stay. We will definitely seek out this rental again next time we’re in the area!

This was a lovely house to stay in, gorgeous views of Pikes Peak. My kids really enjoyed the ping pong and foosball table. There are views of the outdoors from every angle, very relaxing.

Had exactly what we needed to chill together as a family.

Amazing! Perfect location. The house is awesome (the pictures online don't do it justice) The view of pikes peak is amazing. The driveway may scare you at first, but after going up and down it a few times it's a breeze :D

We couldn't have been happier with this vacation home. The location was great and easy to navigate getting to where we wanted. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed and more.

Clean comfortable cabin, very well stocked and welcoming location. Micheal was helpful when questions were asked and we felt very welcome at the property. Driveway for this property is very steep and if its going to snow, expect to have to need your 4x4 or a good all wheel drive car. Kitchen was good, with a nice stove, oven, pans and work spaces. Grill was nice and clean and cooked well (Webber Gas Grill.) The view overlooking Pikes Peak was really great too.

We've stayed at many VRBO homes in CO and this is one of our favorite cabins! It was well equipped, everything stated (plus more!) in the description, the views were beautiful and the guide book answered all our questions. We loved the family of deer that came to the back door to visit. The garage games were also a big hit! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin.

Well-stocked, clean, impressive architecture, and scenic. Views of Pikes Peak plain as day. Everything worked. The heated floors are amazing in winter. We even disagree with other peoples’ rare complaints. For example, the binder was very helpful. Referenced it multiple times, for things like tv, stereo, and hot tub; this is a complex house, not a simple hotel room. Also, someone suggested it wasn’t very private. It was easily the most private rental I have EVER had. It’s not so secluded as to feel creepy, but you can barely even see neighboring homes through the trees. Nice neighborhood, too. We came here because Estes has gotten more and more expensive.

This cabin was absolutely incredible! Everything was as listed! It snowed on our second day and we got to enjoy sledding without leaving the property. We found fox tracks in the snow, and had some deer visitors. If you like being close to things, this is not for you. But for us, we love to retreat and get away from it all and this far exceeded our expectations. We definitely plan to be back!

Bear Cub Lodge for the win! We had an absolute blast at this house. We played in the snow, hit up the hot tub too many times to count, and did some light storytelling in the reading nook! The view from the great room is on point- Pikes Peak never looked so good. Would definitely head back for another weekend anytime.

Could not as for a better stay! As listed in the property details 4wd is suggested during winter months. Once you are in the house the view cannot be beat!
