We really enjoyed our stay. The home was so clean and cozy. It was such a peaceful feel with all the tree and beauty around. I am grateful to have stumbled upon it!

The stay was peaceful and quiet! Love this place have been coming to these cabins for the past 3 years and I love the reset in life we get! We take our pet but clean after it and ourselves to make their job easier and continue to give us the opportunity to come again.

My husband and I have never been disappointed by these cabins. We've stayed at all of their cabins and they are always so clean. The owners are so nice and responsive. We would recommend these cabins every time! Thank you for such another wonderful dtay.

A very nicely done log cabin. We have been doing log cabins for our anniversary since we got married 32 years ago. This easily is in the top 5. We will definitely be back in the future and maybe even bring the pup next time!

This is the place to go if you want to get away from it all and disconnect for a bit. There's no internet, no TV stations, and the setting is so peaceful and serene. It's fairly close though to shopping in Galena and restaurants, but the nightlife is just stars and quiet. Comfortable, clean and peaceful.

Our cabin in the woods was nice & cozy. It was a rainy 1st night & true fall weather. Cousins getting together to reconnect with eachother & a perfect place to do so.

The countryside was awesome with rolling hills and meadows. Very private and relaxing. Galena was just a short trip away. People very friendly. Would stay again.

This property is as advertised, secluded, quiet, & peaceful. There is one other cabin on the property that is also rented, but it is at the front of the gravel drive, and this is the back, so no noisy neighbors, as you find yourself in the middle of the country with corn fields and cows around. We felt like this was a great location to take advantage of Galena without being in the hustle and bustle of it all. We also enjoyed hiking at Apple River Canyon State Park, kayaking at Apple Canyon Lake (which the property has parking and beach passes for you to use as it is private). We enjoyed visiting the town of Elizabeth as well and visiting the massive antiques store there. All of these were within a 30 minute drive (or less). The property was clean, well furnished, and had everything that we needed. Stargazing at night and quiet campfires were so wonderful to enjoy. We had an awkward situation with the other group staying there, but was really not the fault of the property owner, and she helped us resolve the situation.

We loved the cabin with its cozy rooms. It had the rustic charm, but also many modern amenities. Our family of five was able to disconnect and enjoy or time together. The spacious lawn with trails through the property was also a huge perk.

We desperately needed a break in our busy summer schedule to reconnect and just chill. Galena is always a favorite of ours and we typically do the B&B thing. This time we decided to search for something a little more secluded and off the usual path. We absolutely loved the location of this delightful, charming cabin. The interior was very clean with plenty of furnishings. We appreciated that the accommodations were pet friendly, Lucy approved as well! :) We very much enjoyed the back deck to unwind each evening with a couple of cocktails. The sounds of birds chirping was so lovely. We also enjoyed the scenic drive to and from town, we felt we had the best of both worlds! The location was wonderfully quiet with no passing traffic. We highly recommend booking here and will definitely return!

We loved the Brimeyer cabin! It was peaceful and secluded, but close enough to plenty of activities and places to visit. Our normally anxious dog was happy and content walking around the grounds. We really enjoyed reading and drinking coffee on the porch! We would love to book the cabin again in the future.

This was just the place we need to escape to. Our sons loved it. The owner was very helpful and sent an HVAC repairman to fix an issue with the AC on a holiday. We will definitely be booking again.

The cabin was so great. We were extremely happy with our stay. It eas ckean and well maintained. There was a coupke snacks left for us (popcorn and chocolates). My husband, our 2 dogs and myself found our stay very relaxing. The dogs loved walking on the property and we were close enough to Galena's main street to go there for a couple hours one afternoon. Highly recommend this cabin. Enough privacy, but still close to enough to drive where needed.

We chose Brimeyer Cabin for our family's summer weekend getaway and it did not disappoint. We wanted a quiet and private location for our toddler, teenager, dog, and ourselves. It was close enough to Galena and the state park that we had plenty to do but far enough from other properties that all we could hear were cows, birds, and other animals. The cabin was the perfect size for our family, and everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing, and our toddler and dog loved going on walks through the property. Great for the whole family!

We loved the cabin. It is spotless and very comfortably furnished, in a beautiful, completely quiet, peaceful setting. The mowed walking trails are fun. We’d definitely go back.

We loved this property and how it was out of the way and not heavily populated. I also enjoyed the fact that we did not have wifi and were able to unplug.

Once you work your way up the gravel road you're greeted by an adorable cabin and open space. The cabin is 3 levels and easily accommodated 2 adults, 4 children and our two dogs. Our kids and dogs enjoyed the open space and connected walking trails. There was no fear of losing our kids and they enjoyed the freedom. Cabin has every common amenity you can think of. Overall great place to disconnect from the world. FYI cell service isn't the best immediately at the cabin which we enjoyed but something to be aware of. Bonus perk: Cabin goer's got to use passes to access the local pool and local lake! Overall highly recommend and would definitely come back.

The cabin was awesome. I was surprised at how tucked out of the way the cabin truly was. For a couple day getaway it was amazing. Very peaceful. Very clean. It was a great, quiet place to stay. My spouse loved the forest and the secluded-ness of the cabin. I definitely recommend stopping by the store for all you food/supply necessities before getting there! Overall was very cozy and an amazing stay.
