The location of The Mantra was superb with the Capitol Theatre a few paces away and a tram stop right at the door. All staff were very friendly.

Two "lounge chairs" in the unit were extremely low and very uncomfortable. The mattress on the bed could have been a lot better.

Location is great

It was quite noisy at night. We were near the lifts and could hear the lifts and people coming out of them at all hours.

The location of the property was right in the middle of city which made us easier to go around. The staffs were helpful. It’s fair enough to say that the hospitality was great.

Smoking was not allowed in the room which I respect that but it was not allowed even in the balcony. It was bit inconvenient to come down to ground floor all the way from 10th floor. Apart from that I found 100$ security deposit upon arrival was very unnecessary. I haven’t seen that practice in any other hotels.

We were on a cruise and it was cut short as our ship had to turn around as it had problems So we were able to get a last minute accommodation, staff were very helpful and understanding it was clean and close to everything. Would definitely stay again 😊

The housekeeping staffs were very friendly and helpful Kitchen utensils were provided

Great location big spacious room with two Queen beds

The bathroom had mould in it it looked tired could do with a makeover

The location is super convenient, near two tram lines and many shops. The kitchen is tight but works for us. You need to request for pots and pans, but it is otherwise well equipped w dishes and cutlery, including things you wld need to prep food and wash up.

We had a room on the 5th floor and didn't mind the noise from the trams. Tbh buskers are louder, but they do stop by 11pm.

Fantastic Location - very central

The location is both the biggest asset and liability. It is centrally located in Chinatown with a Lightrail station nearby. The room was ok but a bit dated. The staff was friendly.

Due to the central location and old windows street noise was very noticeable even on the 10th floor. We managed ok with the noise - other guests might have issues with that noise level (same goes for AC and fridge). No pans were in the kitchen but could be borrowed at the reception (we had no need for it).

The property is definitely not to standard for a place in the heart of Sydney city. Shower was absolutely appalling with mould in grout and tiles have scum build up. Bed was not freshly made and there were tissues in the draw next to the bed.. I am extremely disappointed. Especially the amount of money spent

Mantra Sydney Central provided everything we need during our trip. Location is superb. Room and bed was spacious enough for 4 of us. Kitchenette was functional, really useful for us, it would be better if chopping board also provided. Sure will come back when we are coming back to Sydney.

location was good - right near the light rail line, next to Chinatown and lots within walking distance/short light rail trip distance

It looked OLD and rundown… the photos don’t match how it actually looked inside. Maybe taken years ago. No extra blankets in cupboards and while I specifically booked an Apartment for kitchen use, there was a single lidless pot and a pair of tongs by way of cooking utensils…. hardly makes sense.

Tram stop right outside the hotel. Comfortable bed. Kitchenette. Comfortably warm. Quiet fellow guests so peaceful.

The stairs leading down to reception bags were Heavy to carry and none to help. Luckily a guest helped us with the bags
