Breakfast was super, bed was comfortable, staff friendly location excellent
The bedroom was small but had everything we needed. Our fault but we forgot our toothpaste, we had our fingers crossed that there might have been a small travel size one in the bathroom along with the shower gel and lotion that was provided. Unfortunately for us there was not. I couldn’t really fault our stay it was super.

Staff were really helpful and lovely. The food was fabulous and a nice area. Our room was a really good size
We were in room 1 which was next to a large extraction unit over the kitchen which was on until 9.30pm ish and then back on at 6.45am that was quite loud. It would not put me off staying again but would ask for a different room.

Attractively refurbished 19th century merchant's house converted to pub, and restaurant with rooms, set in gardens in the heart of Heswall. Convenient , comfortable room, sunny terraces, good meals, friendly staff, convivial atmosphere.
Couple of minor faults in bathroom, but nothing else

we were viewing local property and came across the jug and bottle and decided to stay the evening rather than travel back down south that evening and we were not disappointed.. the staff are a credit to the beautiful establishment and the food amazing . definitely stay again.
only downside was the bed had an extremely soft mattress but to be fair we still slept well .

Very comfortable rooms...nice view to Dee over the car-park...Breakfast excellent...Near to town centre...shops and restaurants...Disabled parking and ramp for entering the hotel.

Although our room was small (expected as we booked a small double) it had everything we would want for a one night stay.
The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep (maybe the alcohol helped a little too).
Breakfast was fantastic, really tasty. We also had a late afternoon lunch the day before and that was also great - we've had food here with family before and we knew it would be good.
All the staff we encountered were excellent!
Unfortunately the water pressure in the bathroom has reflected in a lower score. I'm guessing when everyone uses the shower at once it dips in pressure. This was the only disappointing aspect to our stay although we would probably stay again.

it’s very welcoming - from the furnishings downstairs and in the rooms, to the wonderful staff. our room was clean and had everything we expected. the bed was comfy and warm. food was delicious at breakfast. there is on site free parking available which is so handy. location is ideal with the bus stop a few minutes walk away to go across to Liverpool and get dropped back off there too.
I don’t think anything really comes to mind that I disliked. This is a lovely property and I will certainly stay here again in the future.

great value for money and location with a lovely view of the river Dee.
exceptionally busy on Saturday evening, room above the bar very very loud. although table booked confusion over the table and then we’re asked to move due to another booking although we were staying we were told to take the glasses upstairs and to bed at only 8 o’clock or stand in an extremely busy bar area.
