Wonderful service

No elevator

A very tradition building and just feel like time travel back to the old days in Japan. Hotel is clean, the public bath is clean and tidy. The onsen in public bath is hot and very comfortable, they provide all the amenity item you need. The restaurant provide dinner and breakfast, not as many dishes as I expected but still very nice. The staff mainly speak Japanese but they are very friendly and helpful during the stay. We enjoyed the outdoor private Onsen, it's great environment worth trying.

Nothing much

The building is beautiful and the staff was superb. There are a great variety of hot spring baths, but the best was the outdoor bath.

It's a little far from town and in a residential district. Without a car that means you will end up needing to leave the city by around 5:30 to make it to dinner, and there isn't a good option to head out after dinner. If you have a car or are willing to take a taxi, though, this can be worked around.

The atmosphere of times past, special dietary needs were accommodated.

I loved the staff! Specially the gentleman that ordered the taxi for us on our departure! He's been so great for us all the time! Everybody to be fair, but this gentleman (praises for him, middle aged, not too talk, funny skinny guy !) Was the best! Everybody was great, the service, the attention, the communication even tho their English was not the best! The food was also amazing and well served! We booked our room with breakfast but one of the days we couldn't have it since we departed earlier to visit another city... They refunded it to us because we couldn't have it! Also we've been in the new building with the ensuite bathroom... That was such a experience! 100% recommended!

Just the suggestion to let customer know that during winter months the walking onsen is closed! 😊
