We had a fantastic experience at Kwa Maritane Lodge. The well-maintained property and spacious room provided a comfortable retreat. When booking in, we discovered that our stay also included a game drive which was a pleasant surprise. After exploring the park, the refreshing swimming pools were a welcome respite. Enjoying breakfast and dinner with a view of elephants, rhinos, impalas, and other wildlife from the restaurant, made our stay at Kwa Maritane Lodge exceptionally memorable.

Overlooking the park is amazing. The hide is great but the live stream to rooms is disappointing quality and switched off very early in the afternoon and didn’t come back on during our stay. This spoiled the fun of watching all night and hurrying if an animal appears.

After staying here 10yrs ago I was excited to return. Not worth the price when you have places like Sun City with more inclusions for a third of the price. Facilities were disappointing, 4 adults wanted to play tennis and they only had 2 adult size racquets, 2 kids racquets and all the balls were old/didn’t bounce. We then played putt putt and staff seemed untrusting to give us the putters for some reason. Then they only had 2 putters - what if another group wanted to play at the same time? I’m very doubtful the rock climbing wall would be operating. Staff upon arrival were quite rude to us and moved our room to be near our friends but it meant a downgraded room from family room on the reserve to a twin room with no view and said they couldn’t adjust our price so we had to pay for the better room without getting it.

Staff very friendly. Hotel rooms spacious. Food excellent. Setting wonderful.

There were two elderly people in the group. Both have difficulty walking. The rooms have two sets of stairs leading to three levels (entrance, sleeping area and lounge). The restaurant have only stairs leading to the patio. The hide cannot be reached with going down stairs.

Game drive fabulous. Beautiful views of nature and wild life. Meals were very well presented and delicious. Very helpful & friendly staff.

Not enough equipment for put put facilities, only 4 people can play at a time resulting in long waiting periods. Maybe increase to equipment for 8 persons?

Staff were friendly and very helpful. We left behind a pair of shoes and complements to the staff for locating it, packing it and sending it through to the nearest office to pick up. Food and breakfast was good. Excellent game drives.

Bathrooms was not properly cleaned and shower did not drain quickly. Roof of unit we were booked into started leaking and we were moved to an adjacent unit. Restaurant was not always cleans, e.g. dirty floors in some areas, eating utensil dirty, etc.

Breakfast used to be the best meal there, but queues too long, food cold and overcooked. Location is good but overcrowded. Room comfy, service from Veronica at front desk excellent, porter Kagiso is an absolute gentleman and waiters Neo & Flora superb. Staff really tried despite being overcrowded .

Food gone downhill...dinners awful...even roasts inedible...desserts look enticing but disappointing....similarly pastries in morning used to be heavenly...now heavy and stale. Game drives overcrowded with little children screaming and shouting. Not relaxing at all.
