The owner was very welcoming and helpful during my stay. The room was lovely and clean, decent sized rooms and space bathroom. It was only a short 15 minute walk to town, with loads to do.

Water randomly went out for a few hours but then turned back on for the rest of the stay. Lack of toiletres.

On arrival, we were greeted with a very warm and welcoming smile from Steve, the host. He promptly described the facilities and pointed out the secure, off road parking and we settled in in minutes. The room was more than large enough for our single-night stay and the bed was very comfortable. Having the bathroom en suite was a bonus and it was very clean and well equipt.

It was extremely clean, had excellent facilities and is in a brilliant location. The city centre is a 10-15 minute walk from the guest house but there are a few bus stops nearby too. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed.

This family run guest house is a cosy place to stay while in York. The room was clean, the location was excellent and most importantly, we had a very good night sleep thanks to the comfortable bed and the total silence. The fluffy carpet in the room was a bliss after walking all day outside :). The value for money is beyond comparison so we would really love to come back someday!
