It was great experience. The staff was very good some names are Harish, Aaftab, Tulika & Aneekate. The rooms were clean and very comfortable.

Bit smelly in the floor we stayed, possibly due to lack of ventilation. If you’re late for breakfast it gets crowded, esp during the weekends during non peak season.

Breakfast Buffet Was Average: The breakfast buffet had mainly Indian cuisine, and mostly vegetarian. I think only one non-vegetarian dish was available. It was not that impressive. I would have liked to have some western breakfast choices. But whatever available was good. And the staff was generally friendly in the restaurant. I consider the breakfast buffer to be of average standard, mainly because of the lack of variety. Near to Bus Stand I was self driving Tata Safari XZA+ KZR Automatic, which turned out to be stressful. Even though this property is only about 2.5 kms from the bus stand, the access road is very narrow and difficult to drive. And there are no good restaurants nearby. We ended up eating mostly in Sterling's restaurant itself (which was over prized and not much variety). No Complaints about the room itself The room was good. It was kept clean. And there was hot water.

Aggressive Marketing is Sick Their aggressive marketing made me sick. There are marketing and sales executive at the resort. They kept calling me every day to listen to their sales/marketing pitch. Even after I clearly and explicitly indicated that I have no interest, they wouldn't take a no for an answer. Because of this nuisance I even had to switch off my mobile a couple of times. But even then they called using the land line in the hotel room. Facilities Were Lacking: The resort doesn't have anything to offer other than the rooms themselves. Even the gym room is very small (it has one treadmill, one cycling equipment, one elliptical) and then no space left for anything else. I have booked a family suite and only this gym room I can use for free. Everything else, whatever little there was, must be paid separately. Attempted to Charge Credit Card Without Contacting Me This was the first instance which made me have bad feelings about this Sterling resort. I keep a low per-transaction limit for online transactions to reduce exposure to risk. But these people just attempted to charge my credit card for the full stay (total pre-payment) without even bothering to contact me. They attempted this about 2 or 3 days before my check-in date. And I got transaction rejected SMS from my bank at 2AM. Why do such a transaction at midnight? I didn't like this aspect. Better to talk to the customer before charging the credit card. Pre-payment Ultimatum: They contacted me via the messenger in Booking.com and asked me to make full payment 1 day before my check-in date. They didn't give me a choice in this. I found this strange that I had to make full pre-payment before checking in. It would have been better if I can choose to pay when I check out of the hotel room. They can block the money in the credit card when I do check-in, if they are worried about my credit worthiness. I would prefer to make the payment when I check out of the hotel.
