The staff were so friendly and we're really helpful as our room we got didn't have a view so they upgraded us to one with a view for no extra charge and the room had a perfect view of the ocean which was room 40 thanks so much for the experience. The bath was also perfect and relaxing

The tv didn't work properly on chrome cast the tv kept turning off and cutting out and the rooms are getting abit outdated and tired looking

The view is amazing and the room is very comfy.

The cleanliness has to be improved, especially at the car parking area, patio, and windows. Saw couple of cobwebs and dirty floors leading to the entrance. Otherwise everything is allgood.

The property

Place not cleaned all properly. Cockchroaches ending up in my food. No one at reception. Phone in room not working. No plates or ctlury in room. Small milk. Room cleaned late. Shower dirty. Toilet dirty with previous people hard bowel stains.

Large and open space in the rooms, comfortable beds, basic amenities, open ocean view.

Villa 40-Unfortunately the weather was extremely windy so spent all our stay in the room, there is alot of care needed by housekeeping and general maintenance, no iron board, so ironed our clothes using a towel and coffee table, multiple lights not working (9 lights, all halogen), vanity mirror was loose, screw needed tightening, must have been a couple of weeks worth of cobwebs in the bathroom skylight, and around the windows and ceiling out on the patio, obvious wear and tear on the bottom of the doors and side walls in the bathroom, cracked bathroom tiles. This villa needed to be out of order and gone through with sanding and touch up paint, cleaning the outside of the skylight, whilst I was ironing my clothes you can see the protected material under the bed is worn and ripped which could be easily stapled back together. This was the only let down. The level of room care for the value of money paid. I was really looking forward to the stay too. Must be the hotelier in me that can find these small details in what should have been amazing villa experience. These are all easy fixes, just a little more love was needed., unfortunately I was the lucky one to pay for this short stay experience...

Was pleasantly surprised at how big the room/villa was. Very generously apportioned.

F&B experience wasn't great. Not very much choice on the menu. In the end I got an overcooked steak and a warm Heineken.

The rooms were sizeable, comfy bed. Onsite restaurant and golf.

Bathroom was a little dated, paint peeling off the wall - windows in bathroom could have done with a clean

De ramen waren vies, zelfs een “ lipstick kiss” op het raam, de douchewanden waren vorsen de buitenruimte was niet schoon. De communicatie met het golfpersoneel was slecht, ze gaven valse informatie en dat irriteerde ons.

Spacious room and bathroom. Good view of the golf field and bay.

Not value for money if you pay anything above $150 per night. No room service, no cutleries, plates, microwave and even a sink. I was shocked that I did not get a bottle of mineral water when paid $400 plus a night. Average or below average in general cleanliness and property maintenance.

Very poor service - our room lacked towels soap general cleaning . These suites need a good redo ! The view of the golf course and water is very nice . Doubt we would stay again .

The bed. Very comfortable and had a good sleep.

The light in the bathroom of the villa wasn't working and reception was called who came to have a look but could only do a reset from the power box because maintenance would not be in until the next morning. Was almost charged $30 per person for breakfast until I mentioned the website said $25pp. Buffet breakfast was limited at 8am and not refilled until much later even the water dispenser was empty and not refilled for a while.

Very spacious villas, quiet and peaceful place to stay. Huge bathroom, bonus having a bath also. Fabulous food at the on-site restaurant.

Nice clean room. Housekeeping each day was lovely

On our last night before we were to return home. Some horrible noise started in the bathroom that woke us up at 1.30am which included 2 sick kids. We called reception who couldn’t turn it off. We ended up leaving at 4am in the morning and driving back to Wellington absolutely exhausted. All we got was a “sorry”. So disappointing as Formosa is our preferred accommodation when visiting friends in Beachlands.

The view from our Villa and the location is beautiful. It would have been better if there was a microwave. Otherwise everything was perfect, comfortable and clean. ❤️❤️❤️

Villa's are split into 2. We had neighbours that got home at 1am. Walls are paper thin. Heard music for the rest of the night. They didn't even go to sleep. My husband and I had about 4 hours sleep. There were Villa's with no one in them and a lot with just 1 room used. Such bad luck for us. We should of rung reception but we were hopeful they were going to go to sleep which they didn't. We did lay a complaint the next morning and they gave us free breakfast for two so thank you. Next time we will ask to be placed next to elderly.
