Great location, lovely house with a great space to relax in and enjoy the views.

Nothing…

The house is huge, lots of space for the kids. Didn't expect to have wifi or TVs other than anything basic. It was such a bonus for the kids, they loved having tvs in the bedrooms.

The huge bugs, but that's normal when staying near Bush areas and with the weather being hot and wet as well. We have never experienced Wetas and things before in Hanmer but the weather has been causing issues all over NZ with bugs. Also would have loved hand soap and just little things like handy towels for cleaning etc. But we got the things we needed and it was great. Also I would look at turning the table tennis table so that it's not infront of a huge wood pile. It took the kids 2 minutes and they had lost the 1 ping pong ball into the wood stack and you couldn't get it out. We tried to look for more in Town but couldn't find any. I feel it must happen alot. If you spin it so it's running the other way it would be way less likely to happen.

In some ways it's a pity that we only had one day to enjoy the facilities of this large house. There's a spacious living/dinning area, a proper kitchen, laundry facilities, and 3 bedrooms with double beds. Plus, a great balcony with views out the hills and a terrace beneath with tries and birds. A very pleasant place to stay.

Nice and quiet location, great balcony with views. Well-equipped kitchen and lots of space. Big garage where our trailer was stalled safely. Neat garden with a picnic table and lots of bellbirds!

A hair dryer would have been handy, but that’s my only complaint :-)
