It was absolutely fantastic stay! We chose 4S Villa relying on reviews on booking.com but it exceeded all our expectations. Host Sanjeewa is extremely helpful and caring. He welcomed us with fresh drinks. We were 2 couples and we booked 2 rooms on ground floor. There was one shared bathroom for us 4 but it was absolutely ok for us. 1st floor was occupied with other guests and though we had common area (such as living room and kitchen) it never caused any inconvenience for anyone. There is lovely backyard with access to lagoon where you can watch the wildlife. I'd like to emphasize super cleanliness everywhere! I wish I could stay longer there. It was very kind of Sanjeewa to let us stay on checkout day till 8 p.m. when we had our transfer to the airport. He didnt have other booking for that day so we had possibility to spend whole day on the beach, then take a shower and pack our luggage and leave. Sanjeewa charge us nothing for this. Fantastic location, only 3-4 minutes walk from the beach. The rooms are great size and the rest of the property is also very spacious. Fully set up with everything that one can wish for. I had the best sleep at this property during my Sri Lanka trip. Will definitely stay again should I come back to visit the island again.

We only needed one room but had to buy two. The host was nice and helpful and we received smoothie at arrival and the morning of departure. Great WiFi and nice backyard.

Don’t bother trying to find a beachfront accomodation that has same value for money, believe me, I spent hrs and hrs searching without success. I was also on the hunt for a place with pool for my 3yr old son, but there is actually a place close by 4S villa where you can use the pool for a few $ if you want. Why 10/10 or 5 full stars: - Value for money (and so cheap compared to other places) - Awesome host that goes out of his way to give you a comfortable and memorable stay - Few mins walk from beach, shops and restaurants - Unique experience: wildlife watching and sunsets at the lagoon - no sunset at Tangalle beach as South facing! :) - Did I mention the wildlife watching? We saw many beautiful birds, varans, huge bats, a whole monkey family (around 20), squirrels and also the giant squirrel, a mongoose, you will be surprised by all types of lake visitors each day! - Secured property with parking - Fully equipped kitchen (host can cater breakfast/bbq/food if you want) - Huge fridge with freezer - Fast wifi, television, soundsystem, silent A/C - Washing machine free of charge - We were even offered beach towels - Fresh fruit shake upon arrival - Great dinner suggestions (Tango Lake View that serves dinner on you own porch and Turtle Landing) Mosquito’s love lakes but we had them at every place in Sri Lanka (beach, inland, lake) so no reason to skip as there are nets and A/C.

We booked only 2nd floor but got the whole villa for us (1st floor was not booked for those dates). The place is really clean and comfort. There is everything you need for longer stay: laundry, big kitchen, big shop/fish market/vegetables market 10 minutes walk from the villa. The owner is really helpful and friendly. It was one of the best places we stayed during our 1 month trip to Sri Lanka.
