Wonderful attention to details. The owner, Paul is the nicest man. The breakfasts that he served were also excellent. I highly recommend this bed-and-breakfast for a very enjoyable stay!!

Absolutely perfect weekend getaway spot for romance! My partner and I wanted to celebrate our first anniversary in Galena and a friend recommended the Cloran to us. What can I say? It was absolutely wonderful! Paul was the perfect host. He was communicative and welcoming when we arrived. He told us a brief history about John’s room where we would be staying and let us know he was available for any need we had. The room was beautiful and clean and the towels were so soft! The bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was big enough for two with room to spare! The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and he even incorporated some local fare into the meal and we went out and purchased the preserves and fruit butters that we’d tried. The grounds were spacious and parking was easy. We plan to make a return trip to Galena and will be staying at the Cloran and recommending it to everyone! Thank you Paul!!

Amazing hospitality, amazing overall stay!

Our stay at the Cloran Manion was pleasant and comfortable. The room was clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. We stayed there for two day for our anniversary and we enjoyed it very much. Will come back again in the future.

We had a very enjoyable four-night stay. Paul was a gracious and accommodating host, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were excellent. We highly recommend.

We went to Cloran Mansion to celebrate my husband's 76th birthday. The mansion was fabulous. It is beautifully decorated with antiques and other interesting decor. You really can see the stars from Anna's room jacuzzi. There also is a fireplace and a hanging lamp that opens like a flower. So cool.The owner, Paul, was our host who met us at the front door. He told us about the restaurants. We loved Fried Green Tomatoes. Great food. After dinner, he showed us all the amenities - coffee, tea, water, sodas and more than a 100 CDs. We wish we could have stayed longer than a night. Love the Cloran in Galena!

Extremely comfortable room, lovely comfy sheets and bath toiletries. Small handy fridge in room and beautiful fireplace. Loved the quiet but efficient ceiling fan. Really appreciate mirrors in bedroom to apply make up, when husband is showering. Paul is very helpful and friendly. Check in is a breeze. FABULOUS breakfast!! We are coming back to this B&B, as the restaurants & shopping are top notch in Galena!

Beautiful older home with all the modern amenities. Quiet location. Easy access to downtown Galena.

The house was very nice and the service, food and cleanliness top notch. The location was farther from downtown Galena than I had hoped, however, and also (through no fault of the owner) the construction across the street and the cornfields in back did not make for a very picturesque location.

As always Paul was awesome. The mansion is beautiful and the food is amazing. The cottage is nice and cozy and quiet. Definitely recommend here for a stay.

Very clean and and breakfast was delicious

We’ve been to Galina 3 times and stayed in B&B’s. The Cloran Mansion was by far the most enjoyable. The breakfast and presentation was beautiful. Paul was certainly a top notch host

This was the perfect place for a stress relieving stay. Property and staff were first-rate and our stay could not have gone any better. Convenient to downtown attractions, shopping and many restaurants. Would highly recommend!

It was a truly amazing time. The breakfasts were fantastic and our host Paul was very nice. Downtown Galena is just a quick 2 minute drive down the road. This was our second trip to the Cloran and we will definitely be back.

The Cloran Mansion was a very nicely appointed B&B conveniently located a few miles up the hill from the Main Street shopping district in Galena. The owner was very attentive and thought of many of the modern things like USB and wireless connections in each room. The vintage appointments were very tasteful. The breakfast was phenomenal served in a lovely dining room on china and crystal.

Room was great. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty.

My fiancée and I choose Cloran Mansion for our wedding venue, and with a 3-week lead time, Paul made it happen! From securing a beautiful wedding cake to arranging my bouquet and boutonniere for my husband to be, it was the best, stress-free wedding experience a bride could ask for. The daily breakfasts were excellent, but most important was Paul's hospitality. We will definitely be back for another stay.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the building historic! Paul, the owner/host was warm and welcoming and cooked a tremendous breakfast in the morning. The location is literally up the street about a 5 minute drive from downtown Galena. All-in-all my wife and I had a great time and will be returning on our next visit to Galena.

Best experience a B&b could offer. The tower room was amazing.

I loved everything about our trip. I highly recommend going here. It's very quiet and peaceful. We stayed in "Ann's Room". It was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting in the gazebo one night. The breakfast was perfect. We will be back soon!
