Mark, Luke, and Elaine were incredibly hospitable. We felt totally welcome and were very well taken care of. And the breakfasts were hand made, well presented and absolutely delicious! We will be back!
Completely outside of their control was construction on Hwy20. But Mark was waiting outside and pointed us to Luke, who directed us to a parking spot and carried our bags. Their attention more than made up for the minimal inconvenience. Were within walking distance to downtown so we left the car in the same spot until we checked out

From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredible. They were outside to direct our parking and grab our bags. Inside we were met with a tour of the facility and information on the town. Breakfasts were incredible. The location to walk to Main Street was perfect. We rented eBikes right next door. I would definitely recommend this location. Elaine, Luke and Mark were perfect hosts!
I can not think of anything we lacked.

Farmers Guest House was close to Main Street in Galena.......an easy walking distance. The owners were kind and welcoming and very accommodating. The room was lovely and exceptionally clean. The food was absolutely delicious. All and all, a wonderful place to stay while visiting Galena, IL

Everything & everyone was wonderful! Breakfast was amazing. Wine, cheese & treats were a nice touch. Bed was very comfy.

Luke was helpful upon checking in.
1. Luke was NOT helpful on Day 2. Wanted me to read an email. If something is so important--just print it out and slide it under my door.
2. The layout of the room was very weird. Could not watch TV from bed, Bathtub located in a sitting area.
3. A mysterious inner door. How were we to know that breakfast would be provided at an inside door (which looked like a wall) and not the outside door (and don't tell me to read an email).
4. Absolutely NO soap in the room. we had to request--so weird.
5. Cleanliness--there were old battle caps etc behind the furniture.
6. This was the equivalent of camping for us. But at a high rate.
