It was perfect. I was looking for a place for a weekend trip to Fiji to relax on the beach, in the ocean and pool, and this was perfect. Was unsure based off some past reviews saying it was loud but my experience of staying in the female dorm on sat and sun night was most of the room was asleep and quiet by 9pm.

The view of the bay while relaxing at the restaurant was stunning.The room was small for the price but overall we had a nice 2 day getaway before our next destination

Great hotel on the beach. Live that there was a bar and restaurant in the hotel. Also the staff was very helpful with booking excursions!

The dorm was adjacent to the reception area and staff had to let you in and out… The toilet and shower were ok but the basin was in the room..? Rest of the resort was nice I had a great time next to the water eating delicious pizza.

Pretty basic, clean, pleasant hotel on a decent beach. Reasonably priced for Fiji and very convenient to the airport. Many surfers and backpackers, so noisy at night, but fun if you're into socializing. Food was just ok, and service was really slow.

Love the hospitality that was shown to both my late husband Reggie and I. We were treated like family. The chef paul is amazing. He needs a raise. These people who work there work hard to make the guest days. If the staff is reading this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our honeymoon the best it wss before my husband passed tragically on the flight back home. He couldn't be happier with the service, hospitality, friendliness and love we received. So thank you from myself and mr. Dean

I loved my stay at the Smugglers Cove. It was brilliant - the private double room one night and the 4-bed dorm the next.
The shop on the premises, the friendly and kind reception and activity booking service, the very nice restaurant and the electrical connections everywhere and luggage room. It was very thoughtful and very well situated.

This was a quick stopover for us, and it did the job, but was not nearly as nice as the pictures.

Fiji has got very expensive. Meal packages are compulsory and expensive on the islands. This hotel is basic and has a restaurant. The beach is not good, black sand,muddy water and a long walk at low tides. However is was booked out with young people seeking cheap accommodation and Fijian entertainment. Staff very friendly. Our delux premium room had frosted widows and looked out on the garbage bins, book a beach view one if you can. It is much cheaper than the Demarau hotels.

One of the nicer hostels in the area (stayed in coed dorm). Wasn’t until I left that I realized I had been bitten by bed bugs all up and down my legs.

Check in experience was smooth, room clean. Food was good.
Morning service not ready to go at opening, staff still cleaning up from the night before. This lead to a wait for some guests who then had to leave without their order because the transfer bus had arrived.

Smugglers Cove is laidback, full of young people and has an on-site restaurant. It was our last night in Fiji and after seeing some amazing beaches, the one in front of Smugglers was a little underwhelming, but still nice and swimmable. The room is outfitted with a fridge and tea kettle and had great air conditioning. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend our whole vacation there but it is great for a first or last night because it’s close to the airport.

Decent property right on Wailoaloa Beach. Just make sure that the hotel has your booking dates correct. Expect to wait about an hour after your flight arrives (if early in the morning) for the airport transfer van, and keep an eye out for it as the driver will not come out or have a sign with your name.

....We reached the hotel at 1.00pm, the reception said normal check-in time is 2pm. We came back at 3pm they said the room not ready will take half an hour..we waited and finally got check in at 4pm..which was very frustrating as we drove all the way from Suva.
..Sunset sweet was good the beds were comfortable but in the hall and kitchen area there were cockroaches
..parking facility very very poor as only 2 slots and if thats full then we park outside which is not safe

Stayed in private room - new, clean facilities with friensly helpful staff especially front receptionist.
Only downsides were:
- Noisy - perhaps as my room was near stairwell
- restaurant food was poor quality but convenient and nice settinv

Liked the location and the property as a whole.
My stay was good except the pillows had stain on it as well as the comforter. Good thing I didn’t need the comforter as it was humid but the pillow covers need to be changed/ washed regularly.
The toilet paper is a deal breaker as it is of a very cheap quality and is very sharp, shows no mercy.
I stayed for 3 nights but didn’t even finish a roll so it should be a good quality.
Overall I enjoyed my stay very much.

Was great stay for the money, would return! I got my own room, it was very clean and staff were always very friendly! Just wish the area was a bit more walkable but there are lots of other hotels you can visit and they have dining options as well. Also a walkable grocery store

The people working there were amazing, so kind and informative. But the beds and pillow were in need of upgrades. The rooms got surfaced cleaned daily, but definitely could have used a deep clean. The room smelt moldy, because the humidity and the old building materials is my guess. Food was decent, but could have used more veggie options and glutton free.

We had an overnight stay in a private room. Was a good hotel standard and we were really pleased with the quality as we had been moving around basic accomidation for a week prior. Atmosphere is a nice blend of hotel and hostel with it being busy but not too lively. Food was slitly expensive compared to what we were expecting and took quite a wait to come out. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
