This property was very nice. We just had a quick over night stay after dropping my nephew off at Liberty University after the Thanksgiving break. It's extremely convenient and close to campus. Our check-in was quick and easy and the front desk clerk was very friendly. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. It included Belgian waffles, pastries, sausage, eggs, bagels, toast, yogurt, and cereals. We also really liked the cozy holiday decor in the lobby.

The elevator was broken for 1 of the days we were there. The sheets didn't fit the bed they kept coming off the bed. It made for a uncomfortable night. I told house Keeping and they put the same type of fitted sheet as before. Hotel was clean but they need to get things fixed.

The overall stay was fair. I appreciate the fact that they gave us another room after immediately finding out that our toilet wasn’t working. Unfortunately, the new room was right across from the stair access and we could hear the slamming of that door at all hours of the day and night.
The rooms seemed decently clean, as well as the rest of the hotel. I appreciated the continental breakfast which was a typical continental breakfast. I also appreciated that they had coffee available in the breakfast area 24/7.
I was disappointed to find out how close we were to the highway because of the noise that this caused and our room faced the highway. I would be sure to request a room that did not face the highway.
We were met at the reception desk with friendly faces. That was nice.

This was my first experience at a Microtel hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside. The room was nice. It didn't have a lot of plug-ins next the bed for me personally. Breakfast was good.

Problems checking in was told I could not check in until 3pm, when we were able to check in the woman started checking in other people instead of checking in the people that had been waiting. The woman checking us in told me that the hotel charged 50.00 dollars a night per pet that would mean I paid more for my pets than I did for me, also the woman asked for a credit card for incidentals, I handed her a Discover card and she did not know what a Discover card was. Asked if she was new and she said no. Red flags.

This was my worst experience at a hotel having stayed in many during my career, including international. The toilet would leak water from the bottom onto the floor when flushed. Meaning what was in the toilet is now on the floor. The shower would not drain and my wife could/would not shower in 5 inches of standing water. After packing up and loading the car the water level had not changed. The bathroom sink also did not drain.
It was very late after when we arrived after driving 10 hours so we didn't want the hassle of changing rooms. We just packed up and left in the morning. Most breakfast items were out. The staff was apologetic and concerned but since we booked through a third party,hotel.com, they could not offer a refund.

We had a good stay at the microtel in Lynchburg. It’s convenient to many food choices and Liberty University.
The only thing that needs improvement is the breakfast . We chose cereal and yogurt . Nothing else seemed edible and the coffee is very strong ! Even mild roast .

The shower curtain rod was almost ripped out of the wall. The toilet leaked and ran all night. The HVAC system made a lot of noise when operating.

Our room was not clean at all. Greasy handprints on the television and all over the windows. The worst was that the sheets had not been changed. There was dried food and other nasty bits on the sheets. We got new sheets and put them on ourselves. I was pretty grossed out.

it was ok, I expect better place for the price and for the area, i was problem with bathroom but the lady in the front help us and the problem were fixed, the room was small but its ok for the night, but the breakfast it was a big disappointment, very poor and see better service, the faces for some other people that take a breakfast like us it was the same !this is what you give me for breakfast? but for the rest, room, beds are well.

Great location, close to everything. It was clean and the staff was courteous. The only thing that was lacking was the breakfast. We went down an hour after it opened and everything was out but the make-your-own waffles. They eventually restocked, but it took a while. They were understaffed for this part. I would stay here again.

This Microtel served it's purpose by having us close to my nephew but the breakfast leaves little to be desired. Toast, yogurt, waffles and sausage gravy was pretty much it. It was ok but it needed restocked a couple of times that we had to tell an employee about. Our bathroom toilet had brown/black crud all around the back base of it. I'm not sure what it was but it didn't look very nice.

The room was pleasant, but it took hours to get the thermostat to let the room warm up to 72 deg. Don't believe anything on the web site about a hot breakfast. The site offers waffles, cereal, toasted bagels and apples.
