The hotel was overbook by a lot of rooms. We along with many others were turned away even though our room was already paid for.

I arrived at 4pm when check in time was 3pm. When i arrived there was a line at the front desk and nobody was getting rooms. I waited for 75 minutes to get a room. The worst hotel experience of my life.

Absolutely the worst experience at any hotel I have ever experienced. Took over an hour to check in, to never get a room. They told me my card was declined and I showed them where it took the money out of my account, they 8 people in front of me came back to the front desk to tell the person at the desk all the rooms they checked into were all dirty. There was no hot water in the hotel which was confirmed by 3 different people already staying there. Unprofessional front desk. I ended up booking a hotel at a different location and still haven’t received a refund. Over 40 people in the lobby waiting to check in all to be told they didn’t have any rooms and it was 10 pm.

Upon arrival even though I had a reservation they did not have any rooms available-we had to wait for rooms to be cleaned..I had booked a king bed-we did NOT have a king bed. 4 different times of leaving my room I could not get back in and had to go to the desk and have them reprogram the keycard-and everytime I had to wait in line behind numerous angry customers who had reservations and did not have a room to go to..I sat my beverage on the nightstand to go take a shower and when I came back it was covered in ants-my husband didn’t have any hot water when he took his shower.
I know it’s probably not the staff that actually work at that hotels fault-all these places using third party booking makes things a mess and the staff are taking the brunt of the chaos..the police had to be called also while we were there due to so many angry customers. And I totally understand their frustration We have definitely learned our lesson. We will never stay at a crown plaza hotel again. I am sure I am leaving out other things that happened but at least people will know how we feel.

Our bed had ants in it, the shower wasn't thoroughly cleaned, We had a balcony view just to see disgusting puddles of rust and dirt.

Hotel overall was outdated and old. Bathrooms in room were not great. No soap. Tiny shampoo and conditioner samples. Definitely would not stay here again.

Easy access to 71 is nice. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice. My husband enjoyed the coffee in the rooms.

They didn’t clean the rooms each day and didn’t tell me that they were not so had to get towels and soap. Just old felt unclean and TV was terrible with lines through it.

check in took alone time. when entering lobby no staff was available to assist. Check in staff only spoke to ask for id and credit card then just placed card on counter. Did not even state our room number or even said hello. when we got into our room TV did not work. called front desk. Clerk was a male this time and was very short. Maintenance did bring a new remote that fixed issue about 1 1/2 later

We checked in and placed our bags in the room, from that moment until 1am we were unable ro reaccess our room, they had no other rooms and were not going to be able to get us into our room until morning when a manager would be in. Someone, not sure his position but was wonderful and got us in our room. When i asked in the morning for a manager i was told there was not one in.
The staff was overall not helpful. The desk clerks did not believe that we could not get into our room. However the one person that did assist us says that it happens all the time.
Save your money and stay somewhere cheaper.

Overall good quality. Hotel is older but it is clean and maintained well. Bedding is fantastic! Very comfortable bed with great pillows and mattress. The windows could use blackout curtains. There was a bit too much light coming in from the street, but overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The location is very good for getting to various parts of Cleveland and its suburbs, with I-71 being close by.

The hotel overbooked and still billed me. They refused to assist in the cancelation and had us wait an hour before telling us they had no rooms left. While we understood there was a storm prior to our arrival, we still felt the service we recieved was poor.

When I came to check in little earlier I was told by the front desk our room was not available in fact they had not even 1 room available to be check in. I was asked to wait in the lobby and they would inform me if a room became available. We sat in the lobby for 45 mins they front desk didn’t update us and when we walked up to the front desk to ask we were told the cleaning crew was being trained and they were moving slow . It was very disappointing to see not clear communication or sense of urgency.

The staff was the best part of the hotel. It’s a solid property. Needs some updating. But I’d stay there again with no hesitation. It has a slight funk, but we stayed during the great blackout of ‘24 lol So it was booked solid and the staff handled it with superb service.
Front desk was efficient and kind. We needed to make a small change and they didn’t flinch. The wait staff in the breakfast spot downstairs were sooooo polite and accommodating.
It’s not perfect there. But the staff more than make up for its small shortcomings.

You will probably have a better experience at the Motel 6 across the street. Very old hotel. Smells as old as the 70s. The elevators creak and rattle. You will spend all your time going to the front desk to fix your key to get into your room. Sometimes twice. Maybe get like 20 card keys, you’ll need them. It was an awful and regrettable stay here. The pool is cloudy and not maintained. The restrooms smell like rot and sewer. We were in town for the Banana Ball event. We ended up here because our hotel lost power from the tornado storm.

This place inside looks beautiful. The only problem I had was the pool being down for one of the days of my stay other than that food and room and pool was great loved my stay. Also around the area there’s tons of food places.

Arrived at the hotel at 1030pm after a long day of traveling. The check in process was easy enough but when we got to the room there were suitcases, shoes, and dirty towels thrown around. Clearly they gave us keys to a room someone was already staying in which gave me concerns about security and safety. Went back to the front desk and was told they had over sold the hotel and did not have any other 2 bed rooms available but could take a king bed. Which was not going to work for my family of 4. The clerk asked me to wait for her manager. When the manager arrived she was extremely rude and told me third party reservations are not guaranteed even though i had prepaid...which makes me wonder if i should even be using hotels.com. Finally they agreed to give us the king room with 2 roll aways. After sitting in the lobby for nearly an hour, we finally got to our room to discover the rollaways barely fit in the room with the king bed. It was difficult to navigate around them. Additionally they were thin mattresses on metal frames and we still had to set them up and make them. The whole experience was frustrating. The manager never even offered an apology or even an ounce of compassion.

The linens hadn’t been changed, I have blonde hair; there were black hairs IN the bed! Also pubes or other short curly hairs all over the bathroom, not just in one place. There were short curly hairs in 2 corners and in the middle of the floor! Disgusting. The staff were less than helpful.

Temperature of the room was set to 61 when I arrived. Took a while to get the room comfortable. The shower never got hot, just lukewarm. The breakfast bar, however was delicious and a good value and the staff was very nice.

One of the rooms tv didn’t work they was suppose to send someone and no one came. The pool was dirty and slimy it had algae in it and one of the workers said that it was still good we could have still swim in there. Like no I just feel like I could of went somewhere else for those prices

Understaffed. I feel sorry for the staff who were working hard trying to keep things running. Check in was fine, then we learned the elevator was out. Fine, we’ll carry our bags to the third floor. Then we found used towels hanging in our closet. I took those down to the front desk to let them know. Back to the room, look out the window at the view…oh there’s an organic matter stain on the window. A prior guest was inspired by the view? Anyway, the bathroom was at least clean. The pool deck area was made out of slippery slate or something terrible. I saw two kids wipe out on that. No towels anywhere to be found, not even an empty shelf where towels might have been previously. My son was fine with it but my daughter just went back to the room. The only thing keeping this from a one star rating was the comfortable bed and pillows. If you get one thing right, that should be it. Next morning, we found three decaf pods and one regular coffee pod in the room. Ok, I’ll walk downstairs and look for coffee in the lobby. Nope, there is creamer sitting there, but no coffee. Five stars for breakfast location, literally next door to Dunkin Donuts.

Shuttles are only ever half hour and fill quickly. Property is super old and needs work. Surfaces felt sticky. Not worth the money

Booked this hotel because it had an airport shuttle but when I checked in their morning shuttle to the airport was full. They only have one shuttle van. Other than that I think the hotel is a good one and I'll probably stay again but will book my airport shuttle a few days in advance.
