Nice hotel but quite surprised that breakfast and use of the spa facilities were not included in the price.

Hotel and facilities were good, but the room we were in backed onto the entrance to the function suite where a school prom was in progress. It was very noisy until late and we had to keep the windows closed to limit the noise which made the room too warm and stuffy on a hot day.

We had a lovely time and the spa was excellent, everywhere is very clean and the staff are all lovely, unfortunately the room was very noisy, i think we were above the kitchen so you could hear the deliveries being emptied etc. Would stay again but would definitely request a room somewhere different in the hotel.

Lovely Hotel and Spa. Lovely surrounds. Room was great and very comfortable. Food was delicious.

Place overall beautiful, great amenities. Slightly overpriced. Mind that you are charged for towels if you are using the spa.

Nice staff nice welcome helped me with my luggage top floor no lifts nice bar ad breakfast and Spa experience and my bedroom no 10 nice views.

We went for a wedding, and the staff were really nice. The rooms were lovely and clean and the bed was so comfy 😁

Lovely hotel but disappointing that access to the gym was not included in the rate and was an additional £30 pp this wasn’t clear when booking.

The hotel is generally nice, in good condition, and the spa is nice. However we left feeling a little short changed. Everything is run with extra costs required, and there was mixed messages given by staff. It was like booking a Ryanair flight… but expensive. I was told when booking, after calling, that since we were arriving late at night I should be able to transfer our included evening meal to lunch the next day, and that I could use the spa passed checkout time for free. However when actually arriving, to use the spa after checkout is additional £20 per person. Robe is extra £6. We could not transfer the dinner to lunch. Only unhealthy options available on room service if arriving late. Some coffees at the breakfast were also extra charge. The rooms had paper thin insulation and so everything in corridors can be heard in your room. The spa also had a lot not working. Normally these things not an issue, but given the high cost of the hotel, it felt like the owners are just trying to squeeze every extra penny out of you. The staff are nice, just their hands tied, and it came across as bad customer service compared to other hotels. For this reason would not highly recommend at all.

Room and restaurant were lovely, the rest of the hotel was fairly run down. The staff were friendly and service excellent. The spa was busy but it was a Sat, the treatments very good but hot tubs were luke warm

Cared for room, plenty of parking, good food options.

This hotel is very comfortable and I would recommend it to other travelers. The staff is great as well. Very nice hotel. I will be going back.

Lovely Hotel room was nice good location B’fast not best plastic eggs left out too long Bacon was tainted other B’fast food just about warm not good for a £19 b’fast Be aware that if you’re booking a room only it’s £30!extra for each person to use the pool/gym etc would I stay again yes but find somewhere else for b’fast

Really nice hotel and the outside hot tubs with drinks service made it better! The hotel grounds were lovely too. Very comfortable bed although the room was slightly hot. We were lucky enough to have a balcony so could open the door if it felt too warm. We would definitely stay again

A fabulous hotel. Exceptional reception / Restaurant staff. They couldn’t do enough for you. Great breakfast something for everyone. Upgraded to executive rooms and wasn’t disappointed. Definitely be back. Beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Thornton Hall is a good quality hotel with well trained and polite staff and good amenities.Also ample parking and good choice at breakfast. My only issue would be the poor quality of lighting in our bedroom particularly if you want to do some work or apply make up

Always a lovely stay. Lovely rooms good food, great facilities and friendly staff. All round fabulous in a great location.

We received a lovely warm welcome from the staff who were really helpful with everything we needed. They helped with our bags, told us where everything was and ordered us a taxi etc.. our room was beautiful, clean with a huge comfortable bed. We used the spa which was very clean and I loved the outside hot tubs. We ate in the brasserie and the food was very tasty. Breakfast buffet was lovely too.

The room next to ours had a group of women, which was more than the people assigned to the room, like 6 or 7. they were listening to loud music and clearly drunk with booze in their room Twice we complained to reception to get them to calm down and quieten down as a courtesy to us and other guests, however the hotel staff did not get them to do so. long and short we got no sleep and it spoiled our stay

Great hotel and location but…avoid a room anywhere near one of their function rooms. The walls are thin and no soundproofing. Room was very hot too

I stay at Thornton Hall a lot for business and I always find the staff extremely helpful and friendly, the rooms are a good standard and Spa is very good (when I have time)
