It’s hard to write a review , as when we arrived to the property .. it was closed . They sent us to a different hotel . Was bummed that the new place didn’t have a hot tub . Pool was very dirty . I guess you get what you pay for so I wasn’t that disappointed.

Reservation was for Great Lakes was told to go to another motel. Got to room no microwave as was listed on part of room I reserved plus had no hot tub as was listed was switched to a upgraded room which had microwave Couldn’t use shower because handle was broke

Warm water..not hot. Breakfast was at another motel down the road. Juice machine was not working. Milk and yogurt fridge was not even cool. Room was clean. Ac worked well. I got what I paid for but won't go back .

The charge for the room was to much compared to the poor quality of the facilities. The shower mat was dirty, we had a half a pot of coffee in the coffee pot when we arrived and they didn’t even make up the room on our second day.

We stayed here last year and are room was on the top floor and our room was good and clean as well as bathroom. This stay we stay on the bottom floor and our room was not clean well and there was mold in our bathroom area.

We were promised a refund for them changing rooms and it was never received. The motel is an older building and can use some remodeling but overall it was a good visit and a great value!

Good location, beds were clean, rooms were as clean as they could be. Everything is in need of fixing/updating. This place looks almost the same as it did when I was here 20 years ago under previous owners. Outlets were loose so we couldn’t charge our phones. Indoor pool and hot tub were open. The heat/ac units in the rooms seemed newer.

The staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Answered any questions I had. When asked about an early check in, they had cleaned and freshened the room so I could access it. Not even a 5 minute drive from downtown, and 10 minutes from Headlands Park.
I had reserved a Single Standard room, expected to find one bed, but they had two.
I would stay here again.

Within walking distance or a short drive to shopping and eating. The price was very reasonable. You had breakfast in another building that was located 4 doors down. Friendly staff. Outdoor pool was empty.

Room was ready early, so we could check in before heading to the island. Parking is right outside you room, motel style, which saves you from paying for parking at the ferry. The two ferrys are very close, easy walking distance. WiFi worked well and the breakfast was decent.
Room was clean, but old and worn. Beds were surprisingly comfortable, but we were told they were twin queens and were only full. If we had known we would have moved to a queen.
Worst aspect of our room was the smell, it had a mildew, damp basement smell. I attempted to air out the room but it didn't help. It wasn't awful, but we should have tried to get a new room.

The first room that we were given was horrible. we wanted a room with a jacuzzi tub, the room was damp and musty and very dirty. we were given a second room that was not as moldy, but still not nice. we were told that if we wanted to cancel the room that it would take 5-7 days to put the 288 back on my card from Expedia. On vacation, we had a budget so we stayed. Breakfast was cereal and bagels at a hotel 4 building away at a different hotel. I will say that the front counter person was very nice.

Great location close to ferry services and Mackinaw Crossings. Rooms were NOT soundproof as advertised. Walls were very thin. Breakfast was included but you had to go to a different hotel and it was very crowded. Breakfast choices were very limited continental items.

1. The room and common areas were clean.
2. The wifi was solid.
3. AC was adequate.
4. Desk clerk was friendly and efficient.
This area needs improvement: The shower controls are antiquated, and it's difficult to set the temperature. The bathtub faucets/shower control need to be updated.

Nice location great price. Pool is so so. Wouldn't swim in it. Bed comfy. Shower great. Room clean. If you could update and keep same price would be nice. Replace carpet with vinyl plank flooring. Redo shower. Ac is okay. Maybe add a fan. Your staff was wonderful

Very convenient to the downtown Mackinaw area. Handicapped room was large and convenient to the office. Staff was VERY accommodating when we needed a helping hand. The service was EXCELLENT,

Going in you already know it’s a “budget” hotel. While the room looked clean and smelled good if you looked a bit harder you could spot some issues. I went to make coffee and it looked like the water tank had not been cleaned since it was bought, there are areas of caulk in the bathroom that need addressed. The on-site pool is a bit subpar. What made up for all of the small issues though was the staff member working that day, he was very pleasant, extremely knowledgeable of the area. Overall with the price and knowing it’s a budget location I would stay there again, and would not discourage anyone from staying there.
