My stay was great. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was amazing. Room was incredible and very clean. Bed was comfortable and easy to fall asleep. I would highly recommend the hotel. It is an amazing place to stay. The staff is excellent and go above and beyond to be helpful.

Very helpful staff but difficult to get service in the bar area. A knowledge of Spanish would have been useful as their English was somewhat limited.

Stayed only 1 night (thankfully!) Lots of the fittings in the room broken & room generally in a poor state of repair including chipped toilet seat, blocked sink & ants crawling around. My son’s valance had greasy stains on it & bedding was marked with stains. I complained before we left for the afternoon, on our return, nothing had been done. Called down to reception & the same lady I’d spoken to before snapped that she’d told me there was no one who could sort it out until the morning (which she definitely hadn’t said) & that she could probably get me some clean linen but I’d have to change the dirty sheets myself! I asked to change rooms so had to repack and move myself and my sleepy 10 year old son, at 10.30pm. New room was cleaner but still chipped toilet seat, cracked chair, marks on walls and a dangerous broken plug socket. Also a horrendous smell coming from the bathroom & still saw a few ants crawling around. I contacted hotel.com customer services after we left who called the hotel & asked them to refund a portion of my payment but the hotel flat out refused. I read lots of comments praising the breakfast which was limited in choice & okay at best. We also ate at the hotel the night before (as there was little open in the area.) 1 waiter working in the restaurant who was pretty rude. We were given a set menu with 2 options for each course & no prices. My main and dessert were very poor! Poor hotel run by people who care little about their guests. Regret booking!

Great hotel and in a good location within easy access to Las Palmas for eating and shopping. The only regret was the dinner menu wasn't what we expected and if we asked for an alternative there was no flexibility. The botanical gardens within the hotel grounds was pleasant.

A lovely hotel, room was immaculate and staff extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and modern, the bed and pillows were great, and the breakfast was just an amazing experience. Location in the middle of the nature and very close to a nice botanic garden. I would come again for sure.

The staff are extremely friendly and the service is very good. We had a problem with the lock on our room door on arrival and we had several members of staff helping us within minutes. We were half-board and paid a supplement to have a Christmas meal. The food was very good, both morning and night. Our bathroom smelt a bit when we arrived, but we were able to keep the window open which helped. There are buses into Las Palmas from a stop across the road, a spar supermarket on the corner and a couple of restaurants nearby. We would definitely recommend this hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay and would come back.

The best thing about the hotel was the restaurant food at a very reasonable price, the breakfast was ok. There were no BBC/UK channels on the room's satellite TV, and you took your life in your hands walking from the hotel down the main street as there are no pavements (but this is out of the hands of hotel) - therefore no TV or evening stroll made our stay rather dull, luckily we had a hire car to explore north of the island. There was a large balcony/terrace (which didn't appear to be swept daily) which was quite relaxing apart from the traffic noise (which is out of the hands of the hotel). All in all, for us, I don't think the hotel would merit a week's stay, but would be very fine for an odd night en route to the airport maybe, as it is quite close.

Pleased with a stay there, quite and modern place. Cuisine/choice can be better on breakfast and some obvious difficulties with finding the parking place in the evening.

The hotel was nice. The room was clean. The breakfast was good. The overall experience of us was good. It was cold in the middle of July and the air condition in the room works for only cooling. We felt cold all night.

We made a mistake not booking a garden view room and so had a room over looking the rear yard which proved noisey either from people, deliveries and electric fans. This was made worse by the floodlight shining over this area at night. The room was clean and tidy the bathroom was tired and water leaked from the shower black mould around the bath seal and window really not kept clean. The beds were as hard as concrete and the air con didn't work. Unfortunately on floor 1 we could hear all the toilets flushing above us any movement in the rooms above echoed through as did people walking on the stairs and corridor. It's not a quiet hotel by any means. The breakfast was good if you were down early by about 8ish much later the majority of food was gone and they didn't seems to keep it topped up. What's really worrying I suppose that this is a hotel school and they don't seem to grasp the concept of people on holiday needing to relax having room service knocking on the door at 8am to make up the room can't be right. I also think that the German lectures slagging off the English need to be mindful of who can hear and understand rather than just think we all all dumb bear drinkers

I was on half board. The set dinner menu for a vegetarian was very poor. Its very surprising that, as a hotel school, the food was not more 'healthy' with a better choice. Otherwise a nice quiet place to stay and easy to get to by bus from Las Palmas. Its a shame there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Hotel is locared up in the mountain so don't expect the same weather as on the coast. Friendly service though staff bit lacking in English skills. Room was well cleaned. Breakfast was great with fresh orange juice etc. Some restaurants nearby as well as foodstore, very convenient. You should have a car if staying here. We had no problem finding parking.

One of the best hotels ever been to. The service is fantastic, the food delicious (12 euro for 3 court menu). We stayed in room 317 with garden view but could see the mountains and so much more. Nearby LAS Palmas and the AirPort and very good walking and sightseeing in Bandama around the volcano! Its a must see. Its good to have a car and free parning in the area. We never ha trouble to find a parkingspot. Fast and free wi-fi in the room! Its a pleasure to stay there. Quiet and nice. Good sound isolation if the windows in the room are closed.

On a golfing holiday, the hotel is very convenient for golf courses. Evening meals very good & very reasonably priced, however breakfast could do with better organisation.....buffet was allowed to run out before being topped up, however staff are pleasant and helpful. Other restaurants & bars in walking distance.

The hotel is in a great location and is only about 20 minutes from the airport. It will cost you around €30 to get from the airport to the hotel. The breakfast buffet is great there is a wide range of pastries, fruits, youghurts and traditional continental breakfast. You can request to order something from the set menu that will be made fresh, but be sure to ask as it wasn't always offered. The hotel does have a local supermarket close by and a few cafe's and resteraunts. However, if you are not booked into a suite room you will not access to a mini fridge. So no chilled water and food, which is a huge disadvantage if you don't want to spend a ton of money on food. The hotel at the wifi is extremely poor. It will work for basic needs such as WhatsApp, but for browsing the web, updating social media and streaming video it's an absolute nightmare. The pub oppposite to the hotel has great wifi as an alternative. The rooms are very clean and well decorated. The maids change your sheets every 2 days and were kind enough to spray down my room for mosquitoes when I requested. The reception staff are extremely lovely. Especially Christina who helped us sort out our Safari tour pick up by calling the company on our behalf. They all are very helpful and can speak English very well.

It turned out to be VERY spacious. We appreciated that. The breakfast was subpar, but it met the goal (not to be hungry). We didnt eat dinner there because it was a little expensive, so we went across the street to a restaurant that served pretty good meals. Our major complaint was the INTERNET. There were sometimes that the internet was so slow that I thought that I was back in 1995 trying to sign onto AOL. The staff was aware of the sluggish internet, but made no apologies about it. Please also know that this place is AWAY from most of the things that would be of interest, including beaches. Free airport shuttle, but you will still spend about 15 euros+ on a taxi just to get out of the secluded area. Lastly, if you are planning to use the gym, please know that the gym is EXTREMELY outdated. I think that the bikes and treadmill were at least 20 years old. There is no elliptical machine. There are plenty of free weights and a very GOOD sauna. I wouldnt stay here again because of how secluded the area was, but it wasnt a really bad experience.

quiet hotel but to far from airport and beach and internet wi-fi no good

I loved my stay at the HESB and would recommend it to anyone. The rooms are super clean and the style of the hotel is quite nice. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming.

Was impressed with how the room was laid out and the cleanliness of it. The Hotel looked good from the outside and inside. However, I and my family did not good night's sleep due to noise of air conditioning, a stupid light that came on at night in room (We had to tape over it) and the beds were not comfortable. It was hot when we stayed and disappointed that a 4 Star Hotel did not give water complimentary. The Breakfast was disappointing as no hot food at all. The eggs / bacon were put in cold containers well away from the Kitchen and simply went cold quickly. The views of the Hills surrounding Hotel was impressive but it is near a busy road and parking is not guaranteed. There was a local man who kept shouting "Puta" to virtually everything at all hours to anyone who would listen and unfortunately that did include most of the Hotel.

It should be mentioned,however, that when arriving at this hotel travellers with suitcases request their transport/taxis to go to the rear entrance/fire exit to avoid the 59 steps that take you to the front entrance / reception. The steps are quite manageable once you have no suitcases to lug up with you.

Excellent location with easy access from airport. Very helpful staff at reception with information and good ideas to aid our trips. Lovely garden view from restaurant. Fantastic bargain evening meals. All staff wonderful. Will return
