Very comfortable. I requested a king room and they gave me a suite. When the icemaçhine was full they even brought ice to our room. Nice people, nice 2 bedroom room and nice view of the bridge at night.

Friendly front desk, comfortable beds, good layout, balcony. We had a very comfy stay.
You can see that some minor maintenance would be welcome but nothing that could effect our stay.

Had an overnight stay with my family before we went to the UP. Location of the hotel is convenient for a trip to Mackinac Island or Mackinac City. However, it’s an outdated property and it seems not a lot of effort goes into keeping the appearance up. Tables and chairs meant for the conference room line the hallways. Rusty grates and faucets in the rooms. Paint peeling off the walls. The complementary breakfast was very poor. The staff were pleasant and helpful but this wouldn’t be my first choice if we stayed in the area again.

Our room was huge, with 2 bedrooms and a patio. The view was amazing! The staff was great!

Nice view. We booked 4 days but left early due to noise. They were doing some type of construction. Room was also next to elevator..very noisy. Female front desk really didnt care that we left a day early. We lost the money we had already paid...just couldn't handle another day there.

We were visiting Mackinac Island and staying in Mackinac City was a more affordable option. The hotel was nice, convenient to the ferry and walkable to the downtown area and restaurants. No food on site. Breakfast would be a nice option to get before the ferry. Our room was good sized and walked out to beach area and a beautiful sunrise. Room could have used some updates but was otherwise good.

I love the fact you can travel across the country and not have to pay a fortune to stay in a very clean, very comfortable room overlooking the lake

This hotel is about 1/2 mile from downtown where all the shops and restaurants are located. I was sorry we weren’t closer. The lobby was good but our room was run down, rust on the vents, dirty balcony. I thought I was booking 2rooms and it was one big room with the bathroom in the middle separating the beds. Not good if you want privacy.

Great lake view. The room set up was different than usual with the bathroom being between the 2 bedroom areas and created nice privacy. The rooms were quiet at night and in the morning.

There were a few things wrong with the room. A tile had come off the bathroom counter, chipped and it had been put back on with the chip. There was a hole in the ceiling of the shower which was plugged by a piece of paper. When we needed more toilet paper we had to come down to the lobby. When we asked for more pillows, they said I don’t think we have any.

The property was nice, enjoyed our stay. Had two issues, first our air conditioning in our fiirst room didnt work, and the outside of our microwave was a bit dirty. The view was very nice

We loved everything about the hotel, especially our balcony. I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 for cleanness, because we were there with toddlers and found a pill in our blankets. Im so thankful that my grandboys didn't come across this and ate it. That literally scared me! Other than that, it was a beautiful visit.

Ben and his staff are fantastic! The spacious suite provides a balcony view of Lake Huron, Mackinac Island, and the Mackinaw Bridge. My mother and I are regular guests.

Great view of the lake. Beach area was unkempt, rooms were nothing special. No breakfast and only 1 nearby dining option. We probably wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Upon checking in, we dropped everything and went out to eat. When we returned we played a game and then decided to get ready for bed. It was at this time we found underwear, not ours….YUCK. We called the front desk and really didn’t seem to care. We were planning on staying 2 nights, but after being grossed out by the find, I went to front desk to cancel the 2nd night. Manager refused to refund the 2nd, said to contact Expedia, we just couldn’t stomach staying. Expedia did absolutely nothing about obtaining a refund. Totally unhappy with the hotel & Expedia.

Be aware that taxi or Uber services are very limited. Shuttle buses are available to and from the ferry; other than that, very limited taxi services.

The hotel had is for a day earlier on their own error or Expedia and we were charged for that day. I filed a complaint with both hotel and Expedia. Expedia attempted to get our money refunded for the error day and the hotel refused. We won’t be returning out of principal. The hotel itself is very dated.

Room had many broken things. We reported to front desk. Wasn’t horrible and would stay again. Served it’s purpose to sleep. Nice views. Just wish they’d fix it up.

Beautiful view from our balcony! Breakfast was not included and housekeeping was not available, we were still able to get extra towels at the front desk. Although our room was outdated and every ice machine was out of order, it was still a great stay, convenient location, Sheplers shuttle was a great perk, overall would recommend and stay again!
