The staff was friendly. The pool was great and you were perfect walking distance to everything

Convenient to beach. A lot of demolition properties surrounding location. A lot of homeless people hanging around location.

Price was good... there was food left in the microwave from previous guest. Mattress topper was disgusting. They had a warning posted saying there was alot of Marijuana usage on property

loved the cottages, didnt have all the noise like a regular hotel, with people running the hallways. was quiet and peaceful. I will be back again.

Wow! What a piece of Myrtle Beach accomodation history. If you like swanky motel/cozy cottage travel accomodations, please consider checking in. The cottages are managed by Midtown Inn, check in and inquiries are completed at Motel office. Motor Court has full time cleaning and maintenance staff. We stayed at Seahorse Cottage. All linens, dishes, silver ware provided. If you forgot something, front desk staff will happily assist your forgetfulness. A 10 minute walk from the Atlantic ocean, Ocean Blvd. And amenities. Midtown Inn used to be right next to the Historic Pavilion and Pavilion amusement park, please watch a YouTube video of the old pavilion and Amusement Park if you are not familiar with MB history. We brought bicycles, as MB is a bike friendly area. We were in MB for the week at Ripken baseball a 15 minute car ride up an down 10th Ave (aka Mr Jos White Ave). A 30 min bike ride to Ripken. Night life and entertainment is MUCH more vibrante around the motel and off ocean Blvd then off Hwy 17. Many older motels are coming down the city has a revitalization plan. Long live the memories made at Midtown!

We stayed in one of the cottages as opposed to the main motel. The hotel staff was friendly, and quick to act when we had questions. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get help (THANK YOU! :). The room had the basics: bed, dresser, side tables, TV, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There was a small clothing hook in the corner that could hold 5 garments if needed. Note: bring your own iron or steamer if you need things like that. The walls are paper thin, so I would recommend it to couples and groups of friends that are there on a budget, definitely not light sleepers. The Decor was cute and beachy and The room looked like it was recently renovated. Now, the LOCATION! We were able to walk to the beach and boardwalk in about 5-10 minutes, and less than a 10 minute drive for places to eat and things to do away from the strip. The area felt pretty safe, as it was a common destination for everyone visiting. I would stay there again, I really enjoyed my stay.

No pool as advertisement, building being torn down, area around was not safe.

It doesn’t look like the pic. I didn’t feel safe if like we was in the hood. The door knob was broken and it was bug in our room. They wasn’t nice to us and didn’t fix anything. Rush us out our room. I was not happy. Never would recommend this cottage to no one.

I stayed in the cottages which were clean and didn’t have any major issues. The front desk staff were always very friendly and helpful. The location is close to the boardwalk and beach which is great considering the price range. The bathroom was clean but the shower was short and most people would need to bend down to wash their hair.

Place was clean, but smelled like fish when we turned on the air conditioner. Found little bugs 🐜 inside the place also

Great for the price we had a cottage downside was we couldn’t check in at 2 ( after driving 10 hours that extra hour wait really sucked) only 1 burner on the stove worked

Called the week before our visit to confirm our cottage - when we arrived they had bumped us from our cottage to a standard hotel room - no communication. That by itself was inexcusable with no affordable alternatives and most.other hotels sold out. I appreciate mgmt getting a newly acquired cottage ready for us, but there were roaches and flys in the property and no wifi available so i could not work in fhe evenings as was my intent. Mgmt should have moved the visitors they bumped us for in the othwr property and honored their commitment to us - i will return to myrtle beach to be sure, but will not be giving this property my return business - very disappointing and handled completely wrong

The cottage was great. It was close to everything like the skywheel, walking distance to the beach. There was partying outside at night at other places but once we closed the door you couldn't hear anything. Everyone in the office was so nice and friendly. They explained everything upon check in. It was an easy check in and out process. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a fabulous time. The staff is super nice and the property is super clean.Only two blocks from the beach, an Bored walk, great location!! When we need it more towels the stuff was too kind!! Six beds and a couch, had plenty of room with a full working Kitchen. I will be renting this place again!!!

Overall we had a great stay, location is great near the beach and boardwalk however the neighborhood is a bit suspect after dark but we were never bothered. Our room in the Starfish cottage was very clean, would stay here again

Sketchy part of town but over all decent. Cameras everywhere to protect your belongings and no one ever messed with anything and sketchy people stayed away

great office staff helpful . quick check in.. greatloaction close to beach, restaurants and activities. Needs a little TCL paint .. I would return

I thought I paid for the room drove all the way up to the beach and the man had an attitude and was saying he didn’t get it and didn’t have any rooms but there were rooms open

The overall family necessities provided was perfect. Our entire family members got to stay over. I love that the cottage had dishware. the location is great, munutes from tge beach and stores. The locals did not bother us. Parkinv was right in front of us.

The cleanliness of the cottage wasn’t the best and the picture was a little deceiving as far as the couch is in 1 of the bedrooms and is extra bedding. I thought there was an actual living room as well. Overall I would PROBABLY stay there again only because of its location,

Would not recommend this place. The pictures online are deceiving. This place is located in an area with drug sales and prostitution. I was sitting on the porch with my granddaughter and witnessed one prostitute attack another prostitute. A lot of shady people hanging around as well.

My sister and I stayed here in Starfish 4. It was clean and the folks in the office were very friendly and helpful. There was no wifi though. They should stop advertising that it has free wifi as one of the workers said they never get wifi. Otherwise it was super close to the boardwalk and easy access out to 17 to get to other areas. Airconditioner worked well but was pretty loud. Interesting locals come out after dark - we didnt venture out after dark.

The staff at midtown were gracious, understanding and kind. Friendly from the moment we walked in the door. We were able to walk to almost anything we wanted to do. The room was clean and served its purpose. Anything i needed to cook on was there. If you can get past some of the beach bums lingering around you will love it here. We will come back again!!!!

WiFi didn't work the whole time we were there.

It would alright if they would remove the sand burrs in the yard.
