The room I got smelled like mildew. The windows would barely open because they were so dirty. The screens of the windows were ripped, so bugs got in. When I went and checked out the pool, the Inside of the pool is pretty dirty on the bottom and the water was very cloudy. Because of that I wouldn’t even swim in it. I definitely will not be booking another room there again.

Heat didn’t work in front bedroom. Same for tv. The little fridge freezer compartment is frozen solid. Screen on patio is loose. Nearby outside ditch is a breeding spot and horrible. Would probably say this property has been abused during the regular tourist season. Needs a lot of TLC. Staff is cordial

Location is great with a very good beach area. The rooms are very outdated and dirty. Smelled of mildew & mold from the minute we opened the door. Carpet & bedding felt damp & wet. Bath tub was full of cracks and soft like rotted under it. When stepping out the floor felt the same way and the tiles would lift up. The pool & hot tub were very dirty. Brown dirty around the hot tub rim and black stuff floating all over the bottom. Same with pool. Great location though

Overall, the place was fine. The carpets are disgusting though. Anyone can clearly see the floors all need a good scrubbing. Do not walk in the rooms barefoot!! Management needs to put in a cleaning order asap.

You could view the lake from the hotel which was very nice but the floor needed vacuumed and there were a couple different things not working upon arrival.

Room was dirty and the hotel just seemed overused. Breakfast was a joke. Very limited options.

The staff was friendly. We arrived around 11pm and when I checked in I was greeted by two clerks. They both said welcome at the same time. The property is on the water there are noticable upkeep issues that comes with this environment. We had a balcony room and loved it. We slept with the sliding door open to enjoy the sound of the water. The breakfast was thankfully more than a grab and go like most places are these days. We have two teenagers and they said they would like to stay again.

Parking was inconvenient. Room was on the 4th floor, but the elevator only went to the 3rd floor. Breakfast was just okay. HOWEVER, the room was clean, opening to a private balcony overlooking the beach and lake. Opened the slider and had the best sleep of the trip (if you overlook a much needed renovation).

The room was great, roomy and clean. The breakfast was not that great and the breakfast attendant would rather be on her phone than tending to her job. We constantly ran out of things, like coffee & eggs and it would be 10 minutes or more before they were refilled.

At checkin, my credit card was run as is standard. The clerk stated it was declined, not very nicely either. The bank confirmed they saw no such transaction try to come through and the card worked perfectly at other establishments.

Nice ground level room, convenient parking, close to attractions and restaurants.

Rooms were clean, breakfast was decent, afternoon desk attendant was rude. Hot tub was dirty ad well as the area around it.

Great location and the room itself was decent. Definitely needs some major updates and a little TLC but overall good experience. The staff was great at check in and check out. The pool and hot tub need some deep cleaning but the kids enjoyed that and the beach.

Service was great as usual for us. The room was clean but they need to update these hotels!! Loose ceramic tile in the bathroom and wallpaper peeling off in certain areas. They have a decent beach at this location at least. The investors who own these properties really need to invest the money back into them. Mackinaw city is looking pretty run down sadly. I got a great deal on our hotel stay but I wouldn’t pay much more than what I paid considering the condition of the hotels around here.

We arrived a little bit early for check-in. Both my son and I had to use the bathroom. The person that checked us and told us that we had to wait to use the bathroom until we got to our room. When we got to our room I let my son go first and he comes out and says, Mom I cannot use the bathroom so I asked why. The toilet was completely off of the plumbing. So we went back down to the lobby and she moved us to a room next door. When we got to the room the maid wasn't even done cleaning the room so she was rushed. She was very nice and apologized over and over and it wasn't her fault. When we went into the room it smelled bad The bathroom was horrible doesn't look like the bathtub had been cleaned in ages. My 3 year old didn't even want to use the bathroom because of the smell. The bathroom sink also leaked. We then learned that the pool was down for maintenance. The 2 days we were there they never opened the pool. With kids that was very disappointing. For almost $500 for 2 nights with a down pool, dirty room, half working arcade and fitness room.. it was a waste . Other travelers were also disgusted.

The room was clean and quiet beautiful beach behind the hotel the property on the outside was dirty with laundry outside and the pool was dirty and closed the vending machines were out of order the ice machine was filthy the building was filthy on the outside. The breakfast is not good only giving u a few choices to eat.

Mediocre hotel, not ideal for anyone with limited mobility, pool is not inside the building must walk outside across parking lot to use pool/hot tub/ arcade, 4 floor beach side requires you to use stairs, be prepared to walk, not horrible but not worth the amount you pay. Poor continental breakfast, beachfront unkept, messing broken items laying around. Linens stained, light bulbs burnt in multiple lamps.

Halls were dirty. Tv not working properly and coild only be fixed temporarily. Rooms were ok.

Our room was on the 3rd floor. NO ELEVATOR! Decent Pool and hot tub. Beach was small, but ok. Breakfast was good. Room was pretty clean.

Was in aroom directly under the breakfast area, very nousy as early as 6am.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel was not clean and the beach/outdoor area was not well maintained. The WiFi never worked and the room was dirty. We had to have the linens changed because they looked they hadn’t been before we got there. The breakfast was ok but didn’t have a good selection and only one person trying to keep up with refilling the stations. The location was super convenient for the ferry and my kids loved being on the beach.

We had a beautiful room with a great balcony facing Lake Huron. We got to see fireworks Saturday night from our balcony. The only thing that was disappointing was their free continental breakfast. It was not fit to eat!
