It was one of the best camp. We had a very good experience staying in this hotel. Thanks for hosting us. Only one issue, camel ride experience which is complementary in our package was not as we expected because the person who came in morning for camel ride took us to little far from camp where we didn't experience much view and proper desert. And he told us that it's done here and if we want to go ahead and see more view and proper desert and sunrise point then we have to pay him 700..We bargain and paid him 500 and told him to show us proper desert and sunrise point where we can click good pics and injoy the view and when we were back from camel ride we were in hurry to leave as our driver arrive and we don't have time to complain about it to receptionist as we have shortage of time. Apart from this, everything was awesome.

We are currently staying in Venture Desert Camp and it has been a wonderful experience. The rooms are big and and spacious and beds are very comfortable. All the staff members are very helpful and polite. We had some small housekeeping related issues but the quickly addressed. The buffet dinner and breakfast had a very good spread with lots of options. Also, we had a birthday of one of our member in the party and Hitesh ji from restaurant went out of his way to arrange a cake and we all had a celebration in the restaurant. This was really a nice gesture. I would definitely stay here again and recommend others.

DESERT SAFARI IN JAISALMER Great experience! I had a really great time going in the safari with the Venture Desert Camp. The hosts and camel guides were really helpful, understanding, and accommodating. From the checking process (in their air conditioned office), all the way to the sand dunes - we felt taken care of. The camel ride started in a local village and took us to the Desert National Park, where we enjoyed moments of serenity. The food was amazing - great flavors and prepared on site. Even when the rains of the monsoon came, they took care of us and took us to an alternate location where we had the option of shelter. Amazing crew!

For the first time while reviewing I hoped to have a rating beyond 5! After a lot of research we zeroed down on this property and booked with them for a package that included Camel and Jeep Safari...and they didn't disappoint us at all. The on-site service was a breeze with complementary tea, snacks and water throughout the stay. The staff is always alert and on the run to get you everything you want. Special mention to the cleanliness here. I did not have high expectations as we were staying in a tent but the bathroom was extremely large, clean with constant availablity of free flowing water. We did not want any fancy frills and this was just adequate. Although Sam is more popular, we wanted a peaceful stay and Sam Sand Dunes didn't disappoint us. We did a sunset jeep safari to some dunes far away from the tent which was mesmerising in itself because of lesser tourists in Sand Dunes no jostling for space or photo bombing! But our highlight was the sunrise camel safari which was to a small low dune area near the camp. We had the whole space to ourself with no rushing whatsoever from the guy who brought the camels. Owner Mr. Khatri was very friendly with us Great experience, highly recommended The Village By The Sand..

Very hardworking and polite staff , food served was delicious, all desert rides were as per our convenience, Rooms tents are spacious, clean and hygiene is well maintained . Management staff takes atmost care of all the guests visiting this place, cultural programme is cherry on cake , less crowded hence we get our own space to enjoy the place, Overall we had a wonderful experience @The Village By The Sand ☺️

We were deceived and made to stay in a cheap camp, Wild Desert Resort & not Village by the Sand. Contacted the owner numerous times, but there was no response. Kept forcing me to buy the camel & jeep safari. Total breach of contract and safety concern in case something would have happened in the middle of the desert. There would be no one to take responsibility.

On a recent trip to Jaisalmer and the Thar desert, 4 of us visited Natwar and his luxury tent complex. The night in the tent was truly memorable, modern, clean, spacious and with a great cultural evening of music and dance. Food was tasty and any drinks we required were obtained. The following day we proceeded to a village and met Mr Singh for the start of our Safari, Our camels were delightful, tame, gentle and beautifully adorned. We proceeded into the Thar desert and after a few hours had lunch under a tree in the shade. The food was cooked in front of us on an open fire and we enjoyed a lovely rest in the shade of the trees. When we arrived at our camp site, another wonderful fire was built and we sat with other travellers sharing tales and a drink. The night was wonderful under the stars and in the morning, after breakfast, the camels were saddled up for our return journey. This was a great value excursion, superbly organised and thoroughly enjoyable!

The journey to the start point of the camel ride was about 1.5hrs in a comfortable Jeep, including x2 stops to see a beautiful oasis and the Kuldhara abandoned village. Our driver also gave us lots of information about the area we drove through, pointing out different points of interest along the way. From the start the experience was brilliant with lovely, friendly staff. We hopped on the camels and went through the desert, and didn't see another soul. The leader was very kind and shared some wonderful stories about his village and family, and you could tell he is very passionate about his job and loves the camels. At the end, Best Cultural program with local gypse dance. we sat in the dunes and had a delicious snacks and dinner (rice, dal, veg curry and chapati) while we watched the sunset. Once the sun went down we were treated to a full sky of stars. The trip was very relaxing and peaceful. We learned lots about the camels and the desert. It was a great experience we would definitely recommend to other, next time we're back we will definitely stay overnight!

Our time at the The Village By The Sand was amazing and is highly recommended! The facilities and the setting are beautiful and it is awesome to have such a quiet and calm place in India. The owner Natwar is very welcoming and makes you feel at home in the desert. Also the food and staff are amazing! They also arrange you a Camel and Jeep Safari. The sunsets are beautiful! Also the evenings at the campfire with local Rajasthani music and dance is super interesting and entertaining. We highly recommend this camp to anyone coming to Jaisalmer! We booked our stay at the desert camp during our stay at Desert Sam Sand Dunes. The ride to the camp was enjoyable, in a great car. Our driver was very friendly and explained things along the way. There are a lot of so called desert camps which are right along the highway, but The Village By The Sand definitely is not. It’s quite a way into the desert, which is nice. The spacious camp, which is new, is surrounded by sand dunes on one side and flat desert on the other. The camel ride was nice, the snacks and diner was excellent and more than we could eat. The tent was equipped with everything you need, a good bed and a hot shower. The best part about the whole trip was the service. Sahil, the man who owns the camp with his brothers, is kind and genuinely interested in making your stay as comfortable as possible. Would definitely recommend this place, especially because the price is very reasonable.

Very amazing place to visit according to may experience it's good to visit in winter season as in summer there will be so sunny day and we can't enjoy their. As we also had gone in the month of December still the day was very sunny and hot. So its better visit in winters. Must to see sunset point, culture program. Amazing place also the tents were well organized like a hotel rooms well supply of water and all was hygiene properly. Everyone should visit atleast once. Thank you

A wonderful experience at The Village By The Sand a luxury tents..This is third time we stayed here and every time we got a new and memorable experience. Food quality was awesome especially Rajasthani dishes like ker sangari, dal bati churma were mouthwatering, traditional dance show at its par, Camel safari and jeep safari were too too good and as name suggests it was Adventurous. A Big thanks to Mr. Natwar for taking care of everything during our stay. He was personally taking care of each and every guest with serving food like a mehman nawazi Breakfast was good and Location is Best in Middle of Desert. I stayed with Family for 02 nights in Sam The Village By The Sand Jaisalmer in the Luxurious Swiss tents equipped with all required facilities which is very well maintained. The Venue is superb with Dunes around amidst the Nature. Mr. Khatri a kind hearted host took enough care and provided best of the services giving a feel of home. On reaching the Camp were offered a welcome drink followed by delicious Food that was served by the ever smiling staff of camp. The evening was followed by Cultural Rajasthani Folk Dance very well performed by the local artist with Camp Fire around which made it more comfortable and it ended with mouth-watering dishes served in dinner. Stayed at The Village By The Sad for the first time and loved the Outstanding service done by the entire staff especially Vikram nice. activities offered and very comfortable tents and best of all are the cultural performances done In evening and the high team’s that they take us for is amazing where we are given the aww chance to see the sunsets on dunes and the jeep Safari that they take us is would recommend everyone to come and have their visit at this fantastic place

I had quite sudden plans to visit Jaisalmer and I didn’t had any idea about where to stay but then I got Natwar Bhai number from one of my friends. And without any hesitation I booked my trip with them just the way they make you feel comfortable, the way he talks it feels like you are talking to your elder brother. I stayed there in the camp for a day but even on my way to the camp he helped me out suggesting me great places to eat. He even made the stay so comfortable and enjoyable that’s it’s worth travelling such a long way. They have the safari ride , the camel ride followed by cultural program in the evening and lovely sitting arrangements. People enjoy dancing there. I went there with my family and not even 1% I was worried about anything. Just like a brother Natwar Bhai treated me and with warm wishes we had to move back. But definitely it’s the best place and the most safest, comfortable stay if you guys are travelling to Jaisalmer. You might get a lots of tents to stay. But you won’t get a stay at such a great price and such a welcoming person. Thank you Natwar Bhai and The Village By The Sand Team for making my trip the most memorable.

The Village By The Sand is the best safari service in jaisalmer. I went there with my family. It was a wonderful and memorable experience in my life. We enjoyed a lot. Natwar bhai is the king who helped us alot. He has given the best service. We reached at 3 pm. We did deep safari with Natwar bhai. It was heartbreathing experienced. Even my 5yrs child enjoyed it. The camel ride was another amazing experience. Sand dunes were like gold. It is a real desert. We came back at 5.30pm. Then we enjoyed Rajasthani folk cultural programs . It was a highlight of jaisalmer culture. The singers were awesome. Dancers performed various folk dances such as Kalberia dance, matka dance it is also known as pot dance with lots of stunts. Fire show was performed by an artist it was horribly good. I danced alot with them. They are very friendly. The food was awesome, we enjoyed Rajasthani food.. They have served Chapati, paneer sabji, dal bati churma, kheer, rice, dal, papa's, salad, pickle... Etc At 7am in the next morning one of his staff named Ravi came and served tea in the morning which was too good as it was cold .morning breakfast was awesome, delicious and tasty. They have served bread and jam, poha, poori sabji, tea... Etc. Mr. Murad is also a wonderful person, he has given best facilities....our family enjoyed a lot. Even my 5 years child was not ready to leave. So at last, it was super, amazing and wonderful experience. The Village By The Sand rocks. Thank you so much. 🙏😊

They say that any trip is incomplete without a proper guide when it comes to Rajasthan trip who else can be a better advisor and planner than Kasam ji Sir. Kasam Sir handled my family trip staring from my late night arrival at Jaisalmer station,ensured a comfortable stay when most of the hotels were closed,provided food for my little daughter when no resturents were open.Arranged a wonderful Jaisalmer city tour. Desert safari is probably the best experience of my life and that has been possible only because of this gentleman, Kasam Bhai.It is easy to achieve greater heights but difficult to remain humble,this gentleman has that quality.Thrilling jeep safari and camel ride through the Thar desert under his supervision was lifetime experience.Watching sun setting down behind the sand dunes with a cup of Rajasthani tea is something which money can’t buy.Evening was magical as Kasam Sir has arranged a wonderful Rajasthani cultural programme for the visitors.Dinner was excellent even keeping in mind the terrain. Even many of the resturents will not be able to provide us such food in the heart of a city what Kasam Sir has arranged for us in the middle of a desert.I am really grateful to Kasam Sir for making this family trip memorable and best one till now. Will advise every tourist to take advice from Kasam Sir for before coming to Rajasthan.

The Village By The Sand!!! Accommodation - So firstly talking about the accommodation. We were absolutely confused between the deluxe rooms or the tent, it was a tough choice to make, so we opted to stay at each. Comfort, pretty interiors and a luxuriously glocal experience. The private super deluxe rooms have a private indoor pool that's an amazing experience. Food - The traditional Rajasthani touch to the food yet given western options is a platter to hog on! Lovely food and even better hospitality. Cultural program - So, for one the ambience, the lights, the comfortable seating & chill times. The traditional singers and dancers add charm to every night and you'd not want to miss out on it. Desert safari & set up - The stay at Mamas resort calls for some adventure too. The desert jeep safari is the kind that would get your adrenaline rush up. Also, the dinner set up is a perfect set up under the starry sky of Jaisalmer!

Absolutely away from the crowds it was what one needs from the vacation- • Unique property- you have choice of camps or rooms as you want but they are not typically the hotel room kind of built in. they retain the local feel, pretty much needed from a city break • Hosts were amazing – Everyone from the staff was super supportive and it was very clear customer experience was one of their premier motives. • Kitchen staff and food was very good- snacks before the culturual performances (they arranged our choice as we desired), dinner and breakfast spread was more than we would have wished for in a village away from Jaisalmer • Not extremely far from the dunes nor far from the city of Jaisalmer- one hits the dunes in 45 mins and I must recommend the tours they arrange especially the dune bashing under the night sky!!. Jaisalmer city is an hours drive away and one can choose how much time he wants to spend there It was my 3rd time in Jaisalmer and each time it has been super! This time our family stay at The Village By The Sand was one prominent reason of making the same. Well done team. Keep it up. Would recommend to anyone going to Jaisalmer!

The most beautiful Camp and camping place for all. Beautiful picturesque location , The Village By The Sand is an amazing getaway. The Natwar is very nice and down to earth person. We all team members like his warm welcoming and the place he recommended us to visit, the arrangement he made for us. I went to this Resort with my shoot team for shoot at the place near village Sam Dunes, Jaisalmer and must say it was a wonderful experience there. One can choose as per his preference. The rooms are spacious and clean staff behavior is wonderful and the food is very tasty. The room tariffs include the charges for breakfast and lunch or dinner and also cultural programs in the evening. They also arrange The Death Jeep Safari for the us. As regards the mobile network issue, only jio Sims work there as the entire locality is close to the Big Sand Dunes.

After a tiring journey we reached this place, we instantly fell in love with the place and all the tiredness just went away. The staff was welcoming, each and everyone of them greeted us (felt just like coming home to my family after a tiring day) They took us to our tent , i dint expect the tent to be so spacious. It was huge with different rooms in it. When the sun started to set, they took us for a camel Safari to their private desert for high-tea. A cute little set up for sitting back and enjoying the sunset. It started to get dark and really really cold, we were brought back to the Camp for the traditional folk dance and music event. There was a personal bornfire for each table, alcahol & hot comforting starters were served at the table. The performers were entertaining, since i am a fan of dance and Rajasthan music, i danced my way into the night along with the performers and other guests. The next morning they took us in one my favorite car (the Thar) to the Thar desert which is situatioed a few kilometers away from the campsite for a desert safari. We had too much fun, it was a crazy experience. They arranged for private cars for each family, so we dint have to share the car with other guests. I got to spend some great time with my partner on this adventurous drive. We were so hungry when we got back & trust me the breakfast was soooo goood!! For me this was the best romantic getaway ever. Worth every penny.

This was a very good Camp and worth a stay. We were family of 5 with 2 senior citizens and 6 year old child and stayed in tents which had side concrete walls and was very good. It had a small sit out area and was very good. The jeep safari arranged by the camp was fantastic. Never miss the safari in the desert. The camel safari was also good, he also took us to a dune which was very good without any people on it at additional cost:). The traditional program in the evening with unlimited snacks and tea/coffee was very good. The buffet dinner arranged in evening was also very good. The boys and service at the Camp was also very good. Rajasthani food was just amazing! Cultural programme at the night was the highlight and we enjoyed a lot. Staff was very helpful and tried to look after every small need we had. The Village By The Sand is value for money. Great hospitality, the staff is extremely hardworking and ensure you are taken care well. Camel riding, cultural night which is the best part of stay at the camp. The food was great. Overall a must visit to enjoy a day in desert. Strongly recommended.

The stay was amazing and stunning experience, the staff was very welcoming and took good care about the time and safety, security of the guests. The jeep safari ride on the sand, dune bussing is amazing, parasailing, swimming pool crystal clear and the air con is excellent too. This was an great experience loved in my first solo trip, also the camp room service was good with the dancing/ food , the service was lovely. The Rajasthani Cultural performance and the food here were highly satisfying out of the world. What a beautiful experience to be in this beautiful desert, you must DO IT during your stay in Jaisalmer, must recommended. Thumbs up to all the people who organized this. As a traveller I would say that this has been one of the best experience with this Camp in Sam Sand Dunes. Fantastic location and a great staff. Best part is they listen to you and they know very well how to treat their clients. Many thanks to Pankaj Khatri (Front Office Executive) who made my day which I was not expecting at all from the young boy of this age group. Young, dynamic and he always has a smile on his face each time he is going to speak with you. Thanks Pankaj for upgrading my room and making a beautiful arrangement for my anniversary. Let us start with food. Great food and great taste and lots of dishes to explore. Breakfast is really excellent and the Staff too. A little expensive food, but I will say worth paying for it. Excellent staff in the kitchen and in the lobby. Mandeep thank you for your excellent service, you are amazing. A girl with a smile always on her face 👍. Ask her any help or anything guys, she is solution for everything in the dining area. How can I forget Mr Dev and Madan Singh from the same dining area. Mr Dev is a small little fellow but he will be always there for you, asking in case you need anything. A great Guy and always with a smile on his face. Now my special thanks to the " Chef From Calcutta" Sorry I do not know his name to be honest. This guy is amazing and you make a single complaint about the food and he will not hesitate to get that foxed or replaced as Quick As possible. Down to earth person and a smiley face and ready to listen and accept any challenges that he gets. I also challenged him for something after I received my first meal in my room when I checked in. I was very annoyed By looking at the quality of the food on the first instance when it arrived in my room. Reason being I was very hungry at that time and whrn I received my meal it was not as per my expectations to be honest, for which I made a complaint with the front desk. And I clearly said I am not at all happy about it.

Had the pleasure to stay in this wonderful property mid Its not just the location which is away from the maddening desert crowd, or the wonderful set up of luxurious tents with , but the people working there that makes a trip most memorable. We were on a family trip with kids, aged people and couples. From the moment we reached the resort to the check out and beyond, the helpful staff there ensured our every comfort is taken care of. Mr Natwar and other team members were always there to answer to our needs. Had great camel safari, jeep ride (the mid night dune bashing is a must) and cultural activities were awesome. Food was great and great to have some authentic local food. Woke up the next morning to the mesmerizing sound of the flute played by a local musician in the courtyard, the ambiance was just relaxing. Good well maintained in the middle of the desert setting. Wish we could stay for a day or two more....Its a place where hospitality of the locals are truly to be enjoyed.
