The Space:
Meet Your Home Away from Home

This spacious four-bedroom house on Ann Arbor’s west side is technically set up as a duplex with a door to the interior stairwell separating the 2nd story from the 1st + basement levels. However, by easily opening the door, our home becomes a beautiful and cozy spot perfect for a family or group. We are a five-minute drive to downtown Ann Arbor, University of Michigan Central Campus, and the Big House! Parking for two cars on the premises. The perfect spot for any getaway!

Enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi, Amazon Fire smart TV, French Roast coffee pods + Keurig, Memory Foam beds, fresh linens, in-suite washer/dryer, Solimo bath products, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Message us for anything we can help with!

Our features a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor, along with the kitchen and living room. The newly-finished basement level includes our laundry room, one bedroom and a sitting area with a workstation featuring a dual-monitor setup perfect for the Work-from-home guest. Upstairs, you'll find two more bedrooms plus a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room.

In addition to the four queen beds, our space features two queen-size pullout couches (one on the 2nd story and one on the main level) as well as two queen-size air mattresses (again, one on the 2nd story and one on the main level). Plenty of extra linens and pillows are available to ensure groups of any size have a comfortable, restful stay.

Expectations

99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:

We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.

We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.

Parking

Located directly off W Huron Street on the north side, the concrete pad in-front of the house easily fits four cars in two tandem columns. We have installed signage for clarification but please feel free to message us with any questions!

There is no street parking on W Huron Street. If you have more than two cars and need extra parking, street parking is available on Crest Ave, which is the street south of and perpendicular to W Huron Street.

The house is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door. Enter the unique code we'll provide you the week before your stay begins, and press the CHECK to unlock.

When leaving, enter your code and press the CHECK to lock the door.

Our Availability

We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!

Extra Sleeping Arrangements

Pullout Couch: Underneath the horizontal seat you will find two fabric handles. Pull them out from under the couch and raise up the extra mattress section from underneath the couch. Remove the couch pillows to make space for two!

Extra Linens: Underneath the chaise section of the couch you will find four bath towels and four hand towels, four pillows, a comforter, and extra sets of sheets and pillowcases for the couch and air mattress.

We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:

- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know.
- Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm.
- Please leave your shoes at the door.
- No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies.
- No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky.
- If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair.
- Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help.

The house backs up to a beautiful, sprawling ravine, providing plenty of privacy with equally nice views.

W Huron street is one of the main east/west arteries to and from Ann Arbor. There are two bus stops on either side of W Huron street just a few steps away from the house going to and from Downtown AA and University of Michigan's transportation center.
