Within 5-10 minutes walk of the Teatro Massimo and Teatro Politeamo, it was also any easy walk to the Cathedral, the harbor district, and many other tourist sites. There were many little pizza and bakery shops close by, as well as a small grocery, just half a block away. Ruggero was a wonderful host, even taking us to the taxi station for an early Sunday morning departure. It should be noted that this apartment has a "sister" apartment right next door to it, that I believe could be rented in tandem, if you have a bigger family. I would also note that this was not fancy by American standards, but given the wonderful location, and great price, we believe this was the best bargain of our whole Sicily trip, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Palermo.

Well furnished comfortable flat. Centrally located and within easy walking distance of the Teatro Massimo, market and the cathedral. In a good neighbourhood with restaurants, bakers (even a gluten free one), and a small supermarket. The owner was friendly and so helpful, collecting us from the airport bus and taking us to the station on our departure. Thank you for a great stay.

The apartment was in a perfect location within walking distance of great restaurants and shops. It was exactly as specified in the ad, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with a great shower and bathroom. The owner Ruggero was an absolute gentleman and was extremely kind. He collected us by car from the bus stop on our arrival and with a phonecall allowed us stay an extra night. He also accommodated a late check out on departure and offered to drop us off at the station.

Thanks for all your help Roger, we appreciate your assistance getting to and from the apartment even at early hours. We stayed in Europe for 10 weeks, so we used many apartments, this was the best of all, like a hame away from home, an ideal place to use as a base to explore Palermo

Centrally located, yet quiet, the apartment was close to the historic centre, shops and restaurants. Perfect for our needs. The apartment was compact but very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our host was delightful - very welcoming and helpful.

"The apartment is excellent, clean, comfortable, quiet and efficient; it''s close to bakers and greengrocers and general shops as well as a larger supermarket. Everything is convenient and the main square, Garibaldi, is a pleasant seven minute stroll. This square is a key hub for the city''s public transport system. There are cafes and bars close by and the area is quiet and tree-lined. Our host is helpful and informative and always at hand if needed We would have no hesitation in using the apartment again. It''s an excellent base to explore Palermo, Monreale and Cefalu."

"Apartment was exceptionally clean and modern, furnished exactly as described, very attractive and comfortable, surpassing our expectations, especially for the reasonable price. Surprisingly (for Italy) apartment was absolutely quiet. In 5 days we didn't hear any street or neighbour noise. Windows face internal courtyard. Leafy tree lined street in upmarket area of Palermo- felt completely safe and secure. We walked to central train station,25 mins away, to visit Cefalu and walked to bus stop that connected to Monreale - none more than 30 mins walk away although we could have used city buses to connect. Shopped at Capo market which is very close to apartment, also a large supermarket is 10 min walk away. View from bedroom and livingroom was an internal courtyard. Airconditioning downstairs and upstairs was a welcome relief after the day's excursions, although in early September we did not need to use it all the time. No problems using the free wifi. Two hotplates for cooking with no oven, but we managed! Also plenty of restaurants nearby. Very comfortable bed. We also appreciated the large flat screen TV. Apartment on first floor- not too many stairs to climb after a long day spent walking all over Palermo! Roger was an outstanding renter, email communication was always very prompt. He kindly picked us up from the train station on arrival and dropped us at the bus station when we departed. A charming and hospitable host who allowed me to practise a little rusty Italian with him. This apartment is perfect for exploring Palermo."

The place is in the central location so whether you come by car or without, it will be the same since you won't have trouble going around. The apartment is close to food shops and bakeries, Capo and Ballaro market, as well as the other touristic attractions. If you are interested in shopping for clothes and other accessories, couple of blocks away by walk you find Via Roma or Vittorio Emanuele. The apartment itself is decorated in very stylish way, so it is a great place to come to after a noisy and hot day outside. For the owner Ruggero, who is very interesting person to talk to and very helpful, we say thank you for everything and we are definitely very happy that we meat you.:) See you next time and GRAZIE MILLE!:)

"We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay in the Via Cluverio apartment. The apartment is clean, attractive and in a very convenient location for walking around the Politeama neighborhood, shopping on Via della Liberta' and walking to several good dining options within 10-15 minutes, max. The apartment is perfectly suited for a couple in terms of space and amenities- the clothes washing machine and the spacious modern bathroom were very appreciated. Please note that there is a tight corner stairway in the apartment that was no problem for us, but could pose some difficulty for elderly persons and could be unsafe for young children. We were especially pleased with the two modern air conditioning units, one on each floor, which were programmable by remote control and cooled off the sleeping and living areas in a matter of minutes. The apartment owner, Mr. Ruggieri, is honest, reliable and friendly and very accessible to clients. We highly recommend this apartment for anyone who is looking for a clean, modern and centrally-located home base within the city of Palermo."
