Excellent property, the pictures don't do it justice.
Best layout of kitchen we have experienced since starting these family three generation holidays 3 years ago. And then the swimming pool just icing on the cake, lovely and warm, couldn't keep the children out of there.

To spend time at Tumbles Lodge was the perfect get away from it all holiday. It catered for all ages from 2 to 67 years in our case. The lodge was so spacious and welcoming and really comfortable in every aspect. The swimming pool and sauna was an absolute bonus as we had storms and rain all week in Bude! and so we were able to use the pool everyday. It is situated in a great location to visit the beaches, places of interest both outdoors and inside, theme parks and Clovelly over the border into Devon. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful thatched cottage together with the goodies that was left for us on arrival. The memories of our stay will last a lifetime.

We have just returned from an amazing Christmas at Tumbles Lodge. It has everything needed to make a brilliant holiday for all the family, whatever their ages.
The dining room and kitchen area is a great space not only for eating and cooking together but also because the indoor swimming pool is right next to it. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to cater for Christmas dinner for 15 people. The 6 bedrooms are all spacious, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The master bedroom is ensuite and the other bedrooms all have close access to other bathrooms. The swimming pool is a really good size and heated to a comfortable temperature. Again, a brilliant family space to enjoy together. We didn't use the patio area or outside spaces because the weather was poor during our stay, but there was ample space and seating for all the family.
All in all, we had a great stay at Tumbles Lodge and would thoroughly recommend it for a family holiday. Communication with Sue was also quick and easy. We all look forward to staying there again in the near future.

There were a few items that were in need of attention e.g windows that wouldn't open or close. but it would be churlish to say this spoilt things in any way. A lovely touch was a basket of goodies on arrival. The pool was fantastic and much bigger than expected.Lovely gardens, superb for a barbecue. Overall, great.Thank you so much.

The house was great due to the space available. The pool allowed our group to enjoy the break even if the British weather tried to dampen the spirits.
Check in and communication was excellent.
The facilities at the house made cooking for 15 very easy, the large top lounge was great for quiz nights and boards games.
The Bude Sea Pool is a must - a great way to start the day.

Beautiful house and lovely area close to beaches. House had everything we needed as a large party of mixed ages.
Liked the separate areas to the house meaning multiple families had their own space if needed. Many bathrooms also a bonus.
The swimming pool was very popular and used frequently as the weather was not kind for our week. I liked that I could keep an eye on the kids in the pool from the kitchen if I didn’t want to swim as much as they did.

The whole family have thoroughly enjoyed their stay this week despite variable weather. Beautiful beaches all within a short drive and everyone loved the pool on those rainy days. Some of the kitchen cupboards are perhaps showing some age if you want to be picky but that doesn’t in any way detract from the holiday. Tucked away down a quiet one track lane, beautiful countryside and stunning beaches close by. Only thing missing for us was an ordinance survey map or directions to any close footpaths in our immediate surroundings.

Great for a range of ages - the swimming pool was enjoyed by all and the sauna was appreciated by the grown ups. The quirky property with 2 lounges and a big kitchen diner meant there was room for everyone to be together but space to chill too. Highly recommended!

A beautiful house, with everything you may need. we had the best weeks stay. A family holiday with 4 different households staying, the house was perfect, rooms great, and the house large enough that we could all be in the kitchen area or large lounge together, or find a quiet place if needed for a break from the noise! Children (and adults) loved the pool which was nice and warm, and was used many times a day. Lots to do in local area, Andy was great when contacted about a small heating issue which he resolved within half an hour of us calling him. Sue also was great with communication. This was our 2nd stay and it was clear lots of improvements have been made to the decor, we would love to come back again in the future for a 3rd visit. Thank you Sue!

We had the most perfect stay for my 40th Birthday with family. Great for all ages and the pool was a massive hit!!! Great communication with the owners, couldn't have asked for more 😍

The house provided not only a big communal area in the kitchen/ dining area overlooking the pool but also smaller rooms for quieter activities. As a family ranging in ages 77 years to 20 months it ticked all the boxes. Stormy weather prevented us making use of the wonderful outdoor facilities but no worries, we were snug by the log fire. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Unable to gain a response from the site Manager. Had no hot water for three days and the pool decreased in heat each day even though we kept the cover over it

We were so happy with our stay. The house is so comfortable, cosy, and lots of areas to play games and relax together. Bedrooms are nicely spaced out and very comfortable. The pool is gorgeous, we all enjoyed it. The garden is great, safe for children and dogs. The only thing to watch out for was the paving’s by the front door can be slippery if it has rained. Also surprised not to see lights for the garden area. We would definitely visit Tumbles again. Very quick response times for queries asked. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We absolutely loved our time at tumbles lodge. The house is amazing with everything you need. The swimming pool is a bonus and kept the kids (& adults) entertained. The garden is great, so much room for all the family.
Sue & Andy were both great and always replied very quickly.
I would highly recommend this house for a large family/friend gathering.
The only thing I would change is the early check out.

The property was clean and expansive and was ideal for our family unit of 15. The indoor swimming pool was a huge success with the children. The property was ideally situated, being very peaceful with stunning views across the countryside. The village of Stratton, which is 3 mins away by car, has a good pub and shop.

After a couple of hiccups that were very quickly resolved we all had a fantastic time at tumbles lodge . . The kitchen / dinner was a super social space and was lovely to see the grandchildren swimming . My parents being elderly were unable to use the up stairs space so the games / tv room with sofa was a treat for them .
The steps into the showers are quite high and hand grips would be a good idea as well as having something to pop shampoos on etc . The actual swimming pool was lovely and clean but the surrounding area could do with a good clean . The sauna was an added bonus . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend tumbles lodge for a good family holiday . The kitchen is super equipped . The host was very quick at resolving an issue and Andy ( right hand man ) was brilliant . We would most definitely stay again .

Just returned from tumbles cottage had the best time ever. House is amazing and so spacious. Perfect for large families due to the lay out of the house. Swimming pool and sauna were amazing too and kept the children and adults entertained. Sun terrace was amazing for chilling and bbqs. We all loved the house made our family holiday extra special. Would defiantly book again. Location was excellent too looking over the farm land and only a short drive into bude and the nearest beach.

We went to the cottage for a 60th birthday celebration and it was just perfect, the swimming pool and grounds are fantastic for the children and big kids!!! Bathrooms could do with a up lift but other than that the house was just lovely really well equipped for a large group would definitely stay again

The property is just magnificent for a large group of friends and family, everything was provided, and also the swimming pool definitely tick all the boxes for the children .

Great base for a family celebration. Well equipped and clean, lovely bed linen. Nice big garden with terrace, sadly the Cornish sun was having the weekend off so we couldn’t make the most of it!

Fantastic property - had everything that we needed. Pool was great, kitchen area very sociable and having sets of rooms on different levels was great for families to have their own space.

Though the pool area security had been improved since our last visit two years previous, some decorative input is required in the bathrooms and additional cleaning is required behind the blinds, the kitchen was however excellent. We had difficulty in getting access on our arrival as we were not provided with access details
