Twee, drie nachten is oké.

Everything was clean and the food was always freshly cooked and really nice!

The family was great, picked us up from the ferry dock, rented us a scooter, cooked our meals, gave us hugs and in general were kind and sweet. The place is in the middle of a little fishing town, right on the water, very genuine.
I liked everything, even the cold shower😉

Sehr schade.

This homestay is set in a village 15mins drive from the ferry port. It is very quiet and serene. Tony and his family are very sweet and accommodating.

One of the best stays of our whole trip. Mama and Papa are so sweet and they made us feel at home. The food was amazing. Their son, Tony, speaks English very well and organized everything for us. Thank you so much.
Nothing.

The food in general was exceptional, for Vietnam and for my standard, the seafood and the clams were cooked to perfection (impossible to find in Vietnam unless you pay European prices) they fish the seafood to order, could not be fresher, even though that's pretty typical in Vietnam from what we have seen, in most places they overcook it. But Hai makes it perfect, especially the clams.
The rooms are small but they are efficient in 1 minute the AC cools them down from a crazy humidity to a very comfortable temperature. And nothing beats waking up in the morning and jumping into the ocean... Is not a Resort, it's not a hotel, it's a Homestay and they make the best of it. Your accomodations are way better than theirs. The value you get for your money is crazy.

Everything : Mama and Papa are the best hosts ever 🫶🏻 such loving and caring persons, I felt like home for a few days. It was honestly perfect. It’s located in the fisherman village so not that many people live there and it’s such nice to see ! If you’re lucky you might get invited to the night karaokes happening in the houses of the village.
Nothing.

It was the best place! I never wanted to leave the beautiful eiland and the lovely family. The mother(mama hay) cooks amazing and you will never leave with a empty stomach. The father(papa long) takes you fishing and snorkeling. Everything is very cheap and you will be treated like family. Al the communication is through there son who speaks english.

Amazing food, best we had on the island (and maybe even Vietnam). The son is very sweet and speaks English. Both parents are very sweet as well and want to make sure you're comfortable. We had a very relaxing time and would recommend staying here to anyone.

This is a great family, so friendly, helpful and the mother and son cooking very good. The rooms are basic but everything you need is there. Aircon, shower and Fan. The son speaks English very good, and he advise you where to go. The front terras is very nice and full of plants and trees giving shadow. From there your overlooking the bay and beach. The homestay is in a small village about 6 KM from maintownn and pier. The price much to low in my opinion. Becayse their service quality is spotless. Pick up from pier with their motorbikes. We stay 1 night but we gonna recommend them for a relax stay near our homestay in Hoi An. Cham island also is a great island and worth to stay overnight.

I was warmly welcomed by the family! I liked it and in my opinion the price corresponds to what was listed in the app. The view was great and I really liked the view. Tony was very helpful and even organized the speedboat to the island for me and took great care of us. :)

Food is excellent. Great communication before and during. They gave me a free ride to a nearby beach which was gorgeous.
The town is very small and isolated and the homestay wasn't very social... I was the only solo traveler and everyone stayed in their groups and ate separately, including the family, so I ate alone. There is nowhere else to go unless you walk 20 or 30 minutes to another beach, the beach in the town isn't really a swimmable beach. I would recommend renting a motorbike if you go, but be advised they cost 200k. The shower didnt really work, very low flow and no hot water. Bedrooms don't lock.

The perfect Homestay in a beautiful setting with the most amazing hosts! I will miss it !
Thank you, Tony!

Very well welcomed in this family. Food is delicious. Quiet place in front of the beach. Snorkeling was amazing !
Thank you to Mama Hai and Papa Long for these beautiful days!

Lovely host family. The place is unbelievable, and the meals are absolutely great. Toni is the best.

The food was utterly fantastic and you'll never go hungry. Rooms were perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The hosts are all absolutely beautiful people and it's really lovely to live alongside them. The location is great for a smaller beach about 10/15 min walk across rocks or swim (great for snorkeling). You can also hire scooters here too. Thank you so much.

Amazing trip with very nice location in a small village.
It's a quiet place you don't have to ask too much for entertainment.
Tony and his parents are very close and helpfull, they always ready to support when you need. I feel good staying at Hai Long Homestay because Tony has enough English to assist you in activities. In other parts of the island you have to use more body language to communicate with them..
Young people are very few mainly elderly people and children on the island…
I am very happy to experience the simple life with the locals in this place
Will see you again one day soon
The room is basic, not many amenities
nothing

- the owners are very nice and are happy to help with anything. We felt very welcomed during our stay
- the terrace is decorated with lots of plants and with lots of love
- you can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at the homestay and the food was the best we have had in Vietnam so far! It is truly amazing. (Breakfast 30k and lunch/dinner 70k)
- you can rent a motorbike for 150k/day and it will be brought to the homestay (can easily be organised through the owners of the homestay)
- one of the owners can take you snorkeling to a very beautiful beach with lots of coral and tropical fish. Its 150k/person for about 3 hours
-the bedroom and the shared bathroom was very clean
No complaints, just some information:
- the bed is quite hard but I would say "normal" for Vietnam
- you can't really rent a bicycle because the hills are very steep on the island
- the homestay is in a village where most of the people are fishermen. So a lot of little fishing boats are in the bay
- the homestay is directly at the beach and it's a nice beach and you can go swimming there but it isn't one of the nicest. I highly recommend renting a motorbike or walking (about 4km) to Xep Beach. It is very beautiful and when we were there there where only two other people
- you can take the public ferry or a speed boat to the island (400k/person for a return trip)

It was realy quiet and calm place to stay. The owners Papa and Mama were like really parents to us. All food was really amazing and well prepared. All activities were perfect organized (pick up from port, tickets, fishing trip, snorkeling trip). This place has no tourist at all, because in this island side live only local people-fishermans with their families.thank you for wonderful 2 days!
4.7
What a super relaxing few days! The homestay is in a very quiet village, facing the sea, a lovely place to just put your feet up, sit and watch the world go by; people fixing their fishing nets, sitting and chatting, going about their day, listening to music, I think there was a bit of karaoke too, all adding to the atmosphere. The family is friendly, gentle-natured and relaxed. The son Tony is the main contact, a really helpful young guy, speaks English, who took us snorkelling around the headland at the south of the island. The father (Papa Long) cooks a great lunch and dinner, and is a fun character to be around. The rooms are basic but surprisingly comfortable; good air-con, all the facilities you need. I slept very well. They will pick you up from the port and drop you back for small fee. Good beaches accessible by motorbike, quieter during the week apparently. Thank you for a great stay. I’ll be back.
Nothing - it was everything I wanted after the busyness of Hoi An

Such a peaceful, magical spot. If you’re looking to unwind and enjoy marvelous beaches look no further. A great break from the hectic part of backpacking.

Arriving at the homestay was like coming home. Mama Hai and Papa Long are really lovely and the make you feel like you are part of their family.
The food was always freshly cooked and very delicious.
it was a wonderful experience how the whole neighborhood was working together to take care of the guests.
i will definitely stay there again.
nothing to say...

I would recommend everyone to stay at Hai Lang Homestay. Such a relaxing place and lovely people who will spoil you with delicious food
4.7
Tony, Hai and Long are just lovely people. I very much enjoyed my stay because they are caring and gentle, leave you room but don't not ignore you. Hai and Long speak very basic English, well enough to organize breakfast, lunch, and dinner (which you most likely will and also should eat there, as there are not that many other options I think but really as the food is nice, and it is real Vietnamese food, from people who source their ingredients themselves. You will rarely eat fresher seafood.) Tony was always there when I needed a little more thorough communication, and answered all of my questions regarding not only my stay but also about life on the island. Very much enjoyed spending time with him. The mood was always relaxed and it was just great to see a tiny bit of life in Bai Huong. Just by sitting on the front porch you'll get to observe so many interesting things.
Well worth the (small) price, as are the activities they offer such as line fishing and net fishing. If you're rather looking for just relaxing on the beach, also look no further. Several beautiful beaches with clear water, and depending on where you go you'll have the whole beach for yourself all day and the only people you'll ever see are fishermen driving by in a longboat.
This is not the place for partying but for sitting by the seaside (just walk out the door) on the evening with a full belly and the sound of waves and maybe of Karaoke, which just adds to the experience 😉
Also, there was AC in my room and a mosquito net. All clean, as was the whole place. Do think of bringing enough money, as there is no ATM, and also consider buying a Vietnamese sim card if you don't already have one, as internet on the island is sparse.

I would say the family is really friendly and nice. I really felt peace and had family feelings when staying in their house. The price is cheap but I got much more than that. The beach is amazingly beautiful.

A little small

The homestay is nice, clean and well-accommodated. Thinh and his family are very kind and friendly. Although this is not the first time we come to Cu Lao Cham, we were still able to discover new places thanks to Thinh's suggestions, especially the fascinating spot to see the sunrise that he took us to. Would definitely recommend.

The boy was really nice giving me free lift from n to the harbour. Food was delicious n location perfect. Close to the best hidden beach. Highly recommended
Karaoke nearby n noisy neighbours starting to load a truck at 5 in the night. Hopefully when they finish what they were doing it won't happen any longer
