Staff approach to badger you to buy things including drugs, can also be dismissive or rude if you ask too much. Rooms are always damp and mould.

The Only thing that I like about this Hotel is that is really pretty.
The Bevarages of the All Inclusive is sucks, they don't explain you that to be able to drink premium drinks you have to get an expensive package. They give to much priority to the Priviledge people and treat the rest with less care even that you pay to stay in a "5 Start Hotel ". Also to be able to make reservations on the Restaurants is Horrible, always FULL. I won't recommend this Hotel to anyone. The Buffet is not that good. Not to much variety.

the facility is pretty, the room is confortable.
I have to wait to long for my dinner at blue moon restaurant almost 2hrs. The bar by the lazy river didn’t have spicy sauce for the michelada, we ask at 10am and they didn’t have it, ask again at 1pm nothing and ask again at 5pm and the bartender was very rude to us and told us we don’t have space sauce if you want something to drink get something else 😡 they didn’t have reservations for the restaurant. Never coming back or recommend this hotel to anyone.

This resort is a must-visit. From your arrival to departure, you will have a dedicated concierge who brings your luggage on a cart considering the place is really big. The beach is right there and is very clean, with unlimited cocktails, whiskey etc. They call to make sure everything is OK more than once and if there's anything they can do to make your stay better. I can say a lot after staying there for 5 nights; just visit the place and see 😊

What I like about the facilities were that it was very clean!!
As soon as we arrived everyone from the security, bellboys receptionist , and the bartenders at the Lobby bar were extremely friendly & welcoming! we also had a Booking.com concierge that would call us to make sure everything was going okay! His name is Antonio Martin.
What I didn’t like about the property was that the selections at the buffet needs to be more fresher! Sometimes the mangu was super dry or old. That also happened with the neat! The selection in general was limited! So at times it was hard to find something to eat! But the specialty restaurants were excellent!! what I noticed about this time the minibar was not refilled with soft drinks after the 1st day. That also happened to my daughter who had a rooftop room.

The pools, lazy river, bar and room service were all really great. A great, secluded beach as well! The design of everything from the lobby to the restaurants, to the rooms are all very modern and beautiful. The room was probably the nicest room I've ever stayed in with a great shower and jacuzzi tub, an incredibly comfy bed and perfect little balcony with a hanging chair.
Two things that really need to be improved:
1. The food was not great at the buffet or the a la cartes. Nothing was ever really fresh and everything was usually undercooked or overcooked. Still having stomach issues after six days of returning home.
2. As soon as we turned around from the check-in desk employees wearing all white began making small talk with us. One guy said he'd take us to our room and give us a tour of the resort on the way. Along the way he told us about the other "privileged" side of the resort where returning guests stay. He made it seem like when you return to the resort and bring friends, you can take advantage of certain perks including things like restaurants not open to all guests, private pools, private bars, etc. He said he'd pick us up in the morning and take us to a special breakfast to find out how it works. In the morning he drove us straight to the lobby where he passed us off to another guy who asked us to fill out a questionnaire. After we were done with the questionnaire the conversation changed tone and he was gaging what our interest in this program is. The first guy who dropped us off told us to say that we're interested but we could leave anytime we want. After we said we'd like to hear more, we were then passed off to a woman who took us to the "special breakfast". It was a breakfast in the normal buffet but more awkward because we had to sit there and make small talk with her. After breakfast we were walked over to the lighthouse where the real sales pitch began with her manager. Long and short of it all, we were there for almost two hours trying to get up and leave three times. Finally on the fourth try they let us go and we got a free beach bag, t-shirt and hat out of it with this travel program's logo on it.

Loved everything, from check in with Jeremy, to our waiter Richard B. from the Privilege restaurant, to our amazing house keeper that I did not get her name and even to the sales guy Problemático (not his correct name but close). hahaha Everyone was amazing, a lot of activities to do even at night! Never a boring day all activities were available to see online and every day was something different. Oh and before I forget hats off to the “El Mercado Buffet”!!! That was our hot spot even though we had the Privilege access!! The food there was amazing, as well as all the waiters in the privilege section (to many to name). Loved the islands tropical food they served!! Makes no sense to focus on American food if we are at an island to enjoy their culture. Had a few oops with some individuals but nothing to say that messed my mood. We were just bummed we had to cut it short by one day because of Fiona!! About rooms, our rooms were beach view with balcony and spacious!

Beautiful hotel, great pools, all around great facilities.
Some staff were not very willing to serve

The food in the buffet "Market" was excellent. Too much choice. Chef Santana prepared the greatest dishes, especially the Dominican dishes. I made friends with him and he prepared the best Dominican food.
The swimming pool is just wonderful, greatest cocktails, free towels.
The reception is very beautiful. Carmela will treat the customers with excellent friendly service at the reception and is willing to help you to solve issues.
The rooms are large, good airco, clean, good beds. The upper floor and terrace gives you a great view overhead the surroundings. Jacuzzi really nice.
The electric train is nice to use and saves you a walk.
The entertainment during the day is wonderful aswell. Also for the kids.
We had bad luck, a lot of seaweed on the beach (except Macao beach next door and is highly recommended, 10 min drive away), although this is not the fault of El Faro of course.
The prepared meat was always very dry, like a shoe. At the Market and the Route 66 restaurant. Until I ordered roomservice and particularly asked for medium rare hamburger and I got it the way I wanted.
