The host dropped me off at the railway station after check-out.

Comfortable bright room, sparkly clean, ensuite toilet and washing basin.
Terrific location, short drive to trailheads and the lake.
Breakfast was plenty and all delicious, we were even lucky to get some extra treats from the hosts garden!
The hosts were super warm and friendly, we hope to visit again!
Nothing really, out best stay in Myoko so far.

Nothing. Was a horrific experience.
Japan is beautiful but this place is VERY bad and liers
I'm very sad to this and did not expect this in Japan. I've been visiting Japan for over 15 years and this was the worst experience by far.
The shower situation is extremely bad for both men and women I and others had to wait over 2 hours after skiing. This happened on both days.
If someone is in the shower or onsen it blocks the whole 3 levels of rooms for showering after a day on the mountain. There were 2 people who basically left all the guests from showering for over 2 hours. This happened on both days. And the hotel lied on both occasions. They said they will refund us and have since not replied. They said they have paid many times and have not.
Complete scammers and would not recommend at all

Traditional style Japanese home, lots of vintage knick knacks. Run by a lovely Japanese couple- Iguchi-San and wife. Iguchi-san went out of his way to drive me to Akakura Onsen to get my board waxed- very nice of him. Breakfast was lovely- really good thick toast! She was baking madeleines when I left, didn’t get to try any :( Room was spacious, a little old, but clean!

The hotel is managed by an elder couple ( their granddaughter came back to assist during this peak period ). The owner came to pickup us from the myokokogen train station and immediately serve us a heartwarming coffee to help us start the morning.
The onsen is super amazing as it really helps in recovering your sore muscle from a full day ski. All we need to do is to prebook the slot as it actually the only bathroom in the hotel for guest. ( toilets are en-suite though )
The room is traditional style , and there is a kerosene heating to keep the room warm. Would like to give a special mention to the owner when my partner casually mentioned the room was a bit cold in the morning, they took it seriously and gave us additional 4 blankets ! The japanese hospitality is definitely there !
We enjoyed the stay so much we would want to come back again for sure !! Thank you papi and mami !
I generally do not have much to comment but since i need to write something , maybe there is no lift and we have to climb to 3rd floor especially after a tiring ski. But this is mentioned in the hotel itself so it is not really a negative feedback.

Stayed 2 nights for the Gran Fondo Myoko cycle event. Perfect location, wonderful hosts who pampered us with coffee and home baked cake upon arrival. On the race day they served special early breakfast for me at 5am, so grateful for that energy! Onsen was superb.
Nothing.

We had the traditional futon room, which had a lot of space & were comfy. Nice area, quiet & easy to access lots of ski areas. Two pretty good restaurants close by.
The heating is with kerosene heaters, which I didn’t enjoy the smell to start with but I got use to it. There is an extra charge per day for this, which we weren’t aware of until we arrived, but still pretty good value for money.
