Lovely location. Handy for airport bus. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable. Room clean.

The room was very hot. I didn't feel I could leave the window open as it was ground floor directly on parking lot so did not feel safe to leave window open all night. No instructions on how to turn off the hot water towel rack which I think was adding to the heat.

The hotel is great amazing property, very easy to locate and staff very supportive. Breakfast is also very good.. we loved everything from our stay. The bus is right in the corner and you can easily get to the center of the city. Will book it again for sure!

I think the window from the bedroom could open a little bit more so that more fresh air can enter.

Das Zimmer und das Bad waren dreckig und staubig. Schimmel im Bad und am Fenster. Vom Teppich konnte man Dreck aufsammeln. Nach Hinweis an das Personal, wurde ein wenig sauber gemacht. Für den Preis kann man schönere Zimmer buchen.

Perfect location. Lindsey was fantastic

Firstly I’m not a one to complain, I very rarely do but unfortunately certain things spoiled our trip. Water pressure wasn’t great, struggled to have a shower, and it was too noisy outside our room so we were awake from very early on. Other staff (except Lindsey) were not great. Especially the young girl with very long dark hair (tied in a bobble) who shouted from a distance “can I help you?” in the restaurant. We had a table booked and it is common courtesy to come up to customers when they have a reservation, not shout at a distance whilst doing something else. Had a free drink voucher for house wine or bottle beer (lovely gesture from Lindsey as we were there for a belated Birthday trip) or lager, to be told I couldn’t have a bottle of beer and I had to have draught ? Even though the voucher clearly stated a “draught or a bottle “ Hotel has so much potential as it’s in a perfect location and the hotel it’s self is nice, but the staff let it down. (I don’t think I’m the first person to comment on this) Service wasn’t great by anyone except Lindsey so it’s a real shame. (Few things happened) Staff could do with being trained better and having more manners.

Beautifully decorated hotel in a good location with free parking. Comfortable room and nice restaurant/bar area.

The bathroom door is glass so doesn’t give much privacy. Some of the restaurant staff were unprofessional and almost rude (seemed like a shock to them that we had reserved a table for dinner). Perhaps just inexperienced but their manner was rather odd.

The biggest and nicest room during our 14 day scottish trip. Was a mansion in every sense of the word. 6 stars!

Very good breakfast, easy parking, good room sizes, super friendly staff, very nice building and location.

Our bathroom was odd, as there wasn't anywhere to hang towels for the shower and there was no space to place a washbag - a small additional storage would be great in such a large bathroom Our door had expanded at the top and made it very tough to open/close, especially if trying to do so quietly! (room 303 in the house)

Friendly staff, great location and very comfortable room. I will definitely book again next time in Edinburgh.

The room had everything we needed. It was clean and very comfortable. The staff were always happy to help and extremely friendly. The Bothy served tasty food and a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits. The hotel was on a main road with a bus stop 2 min walk away. You could catch a bus straight into the city centre every 10 minutes £2 each way. No parking worries and the drivers were all helpful. Would definitely recommend 👌

Nothing. We went during six nations and most of the car park was taken up with gazebos for the event, but there was still ample, free parking on the road adjacent.

Staff is polite, especially at the restaurant. Location is close to the bus stop, very convenient. I enjoyed the toiletries and the bed has been soft.

The cleaner only cleaned the bathroom and forgot to make the bed. It was weird, we found the room the same as we left it in the morning while bathroom was clean.

Older gentleman that checked us in was very polite and helpful. The hotel itself is cute with a courtyard and great light outside the room itself. It’s a good base to explore Edinburgh - we were able to do a morning run into the old town from the hotel which was great

The room was suffocating like we were in a sauna. It might be great in winter but in summer, it needed an aircon. The little fan was not effective. The room didn’t have a window either which was strange since it had a big glass door that didn’t open. The room wasn’t cleaned well either. While the towels were changed daily, they wouldn’t neaten the bed and pillows and didn’t change our glasses daily either. When checking out, I overheard another guest complaining about the cleaning too.

maybe they should change hot chocolate at the reception more often :D and the handle in the room is very hard to open when opening the window. otherwise Great stay!

I like the hotel and staff there a lot, they where very friendly and polite they explained everything very good.

We where not informed that the cleaners would enter the room on our first day, when I found my clothes somewhere else that I didn't left them I was kinda in shock.

Loved that the room had a fridge. Nice big bed and supplied us with a cot in the room for our Daughter. Full cooked breakfast was lovely but wasn't sure why the continental breakfast was out and who for. Overall good stay but little pieces need to be rectified to make the stay perfect!

The room we stayed in was dark, not much natural sunlight coming through the windows. The ironing board literally fell apart as I put it up. Was in 3 different pieces. The radiator dial is incorrect. Room got too hot so I turned it down and it went even hotter. After 2 hours fiddling I managed to get the temperature down to a comfortable temperature. The shower has pieces missing from it.

The location is great and I can't underplay how gorgeous the room was, so much space and a lovely bed. The bath and shower were both phenomenal & the room was nicely decorated. I loved that there was a mini fridge in the room and a generous selection of tea and coffee too (the tunnocks caramel wafer was a nice touch too!). Our room was in the house rather than the hotel, it was very quiet and cosy despite the huge room. We're already planning when we can go back!

Couldn't have asked for a better short stay experience. Cosy room, delicious beakfast and all the staff are lovely and welcoming. 10/10..
