beautiful location completely isolated from anything

very cold in room and at breakfast. no possibility to get food anywhere close.

We had a very relaxing time in Tradicion Colca. We particularly enjoyed all the activities that were freely available to us: swimming, horse riding, star gazing, ...

It's cold, so bring warm clothes (this is obviously not a criticism but more advice for anyone traveling to this region in winter!

It was a quaint and pleasant place. Nicely put together, beautiful grassy areas, and the working staff was very friendly.

Man it sucks because we actually did enjoy our one night stay here. At the end we spoke to one of the employees at check out and he processed the bill for our lodging and the dinner we had the night before. Credit card was approved, done deal. Then a few days later we get the following email: “Dear Samuel, On February 10 you consumed 2 dinners, and did not pay them at the hotel. You must deposit the amount of USD 31.50 to our PayPal account: "[email protected]". Remember to pay an additional 5%, which corresponds to the commission charged by PAYPAL for the transaction. Please send a confirmation once the deposit is made. TOTAL = USD 30 + 5% (Comission) TOTAL = USD 31.50 Atentamente, Hotel Tradición Colca” They instantly concluded that we skipped without paying, instead of asking questions to see what happened. Not cool but whatever, so I responded as such: “Yes we did. Your employee showed us two bills, one for the night stay and one for the dinners and two waters. Totalling $62.11 us dollars which is what we were charged. Please check again.” It has been two days and they have not responded so I assume they noticed their mistake. But basic hospitality dictates 1) you don’t go off and accuse a guest of skipping payment without hard evidence that you can show, 2) when you mess up on something like this you acknowledge and apologize – the sooner the better, and 3) even if we had neglected to pay for the dinners (which we did pay for), that would still be the fault of the establishment for forgetting to charge us at checkout, so when asking for money, use a little more tact then demanding payment. Especially since your business relies on guest reviews like this one to be successful. And ESPECIALLY when you are dealing with a sensitive subject such as paying a bill. It is baffling and I wish it had ended better because I think they have a nice and comfy place. Hopefully this will be a learning experience for them in the future. P.S.

Amazing stay in a beautiful and quiet complex. The stuff was extremely nice and helpful. They gave us nice advices and tips on treks and tours to do. Delicious breakfast and dinner menu. Congrats!

The staff was excellent, friendly and always helpful. Thank you!! The hot chocolate tastes excellent! The tasteful decor, the location and the observatory are also a plus.

Many details would have to be improved: there was a sauna and swimming pool, but no dressing gowns or dressing rooms; in the room there was no waste paper bin; not very customer friendly, a small room with double bed and an extra bed for our child should cost as much as a loft with 5 beds; the breakfast was simple, without fruits and from 8 o'clock there was no more coffee; the restaurant okay but a bit too expensive. My conclusion: too expensive for what is offered.
