I visit Istanbul often and I thinknI have found my new go-to hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. It is just minutes from Istiklal Avenue and there are many good restaurants in the area.

This hotel is a hidden jam if you consider its decor, location and price. It’s indeed an Italian palazzo, and if you like the style, it’s your choice! I expected the hotel to be dated but it’s recently renovated or very well maintained. Wonderful breakfast on the roof with the city and Bosporus view. The location is in the heart of the city, you can walk to almost everywhere.

The Hotel is central, location is cool, about a minute or two walk to the famous Istaklal street. Lot of bars and restaurants within a few hundred meters. However, the hotel needs maintenance and deep cleansing!!! Breakfast was just ok, house keeping just ok!!

Great hotel in the middle of a trendy neighborhood. You can walk to the old city center or take the metro in the street itself. The room was large and had lots of charm. The view from the dining hall was amazing and the staff went above and beyond to help us with taxis and our luggage. Would definitely recommend!

Hotel has a lot of potential, however we were unable to enjoy our stay due to the temperature of our room. A/c advertised but was not available (I suspect they simply did not want to turn it on). Room window faced inside the building so it was very dark and we couldn't cool the room naturally. It never dropped below 27.5°C. Could not use swimming pool as a swimming cap is needed which they charge quite a lot for if you do not have your own.

We loved our stay at the Palazzo. Staff were very welcoming and the room was like the photos. We got an early check-in which was much appreciated as we were so tired. It was really lovely staying there.

The hotel needs renovation in rooms

The hotel is very beautiful and has a special character, but it needs restoration. The service is very good. Special thanks to the lady receptionist who speaks English, Mr. Murat, Mr. Yesin, and all the door and reception staff.

Great place to explore Istanbul by foot - very central in a cool area. The staff in the lobby is very nice, the staff in the spa however was very rude, so we only used it once. You have a great view from the roof top terrace.

Been staying here since 2013 at least 3-4 times a yr. Excellent location,service,hospitality and cleanliness , never any complaints. This trip was definitely the best as they have a relatively new team on board with Ms dilara as reception manager, always ensures the guest is her priority. She welcomes you with a smile from chk in through to chk out . Extremely dedication to her job and to the guest.she ensure the cleaning team and all other staff serve the guest with highest level of hospitality. Special thanks to the cleaning team in my floor Ms Menice who ensure the room is cleaned throughly and crisp linen and towels ,and the lovely team of Emrah, Hassan,Gokay. The staff at the Palazzo Donizetti Hotel is fantastic! Mehmet (F. B.), manager at the breakfast / restaurant is great. I can't stress enough how good the staff is. The main problem with the hotel is Internet connectivity. In my case, connectivity was essential, as I was planning to work remotely from my hotel room. However, the hotel room had no connectivity. Then, I had to go to the lobby every day for remote work. Furthermore, even at the lobby the connectivity was very bad. Thus, I decided to go to a Starbucks nearby to work. I expect this feedback to be constructive. If they do fix this service, then the overall experience will improve much.

Great Hotel

The hotel is very old as well as the facilities. You can imagine a big hotel, seven floors with a single elevator. The room was not so clean. The view from the room was terrible (looking at a garbage area). When I asked to change my room once I arrived, they said no availability while the hotel was almost half. With half of this price, you can staff in better hotels in Istanbul. I moved from this hotel to another one for the rest of my visit. The swimming pool is too small and very, very cold. The breakfast is good but not exceptional. I would not recommend and will not come back to this hotel.

Nice hotel close to Istiklal, Galata and Taksim. The staff and service was excellent, the rooms are large, the internet connection is good and the building has been nicely restored. On the downside the bathroom was a little bit moldy and the bed was a little bit uncomfortable for me. I would be happy to stay here again.

Very dirty rooms blood stains and mould in the room. When you start complaining they stop speaking english.

Its the 2nd time to stay there...but this time I was not happy at all...the room I got was extremly small...the staff is not super friendly..the 5th floor is very noisy in the evening as they have a night club on the roof...next time, will definitely change the hotel

Rooms were so old fashion and not clean at all. Breakfast was really bad do not think to have one.
