Easy parking, close to town, friendly, good breakfast, nice and clean

Very clean, comfortable beds, excellent breakfasts, location (2 minute walk to the beach), free parking, free WiFi and quiet.
Cliff, the owner! lol just joking, Cliff was a fantastic host and made us feel very welcome there. Great guy, lots of laughs and cooks a great breakfast!

Incredible value for money given the excellent location! Very clean place and nice decor. Host, Cliff, was really kind and gave us money back for the breakfast we changed our mind about between booking and arriving due to the specific meal time window not suiting us.
Pretty basic and cramped with both a double and single bed in the one small ish room. The double mattress was also quite thin and lumpy. The sliding door to the toilet room leaves a tiny gap which felt like a bit of a privacy breach when pooping. But given the price can’t really complain I think. So please don’t take that as complaining, I’m listing facts—most of which can’t be helped easily, and is reflected in price.
The half hour time window for ordering breakfast between 8:30-9:00 is a bit small and not advertised, or at least not clearly enough for us to see it. Was very inconvenient for us and seems too late for an early start and too early for a late start imo. But maybe we’re just weird. Although Cliff explained the reasoning being that same person cooks and does all the turn arounds before the next check ins at 14:00. Also as mentioned we were given the breakfast cost back after explaining we didn’t know about the breakfast situation and that it didn’t really fit with our plans. So all good. We left very happy customers having had a lovely stay! Thanks!

Really comfy bed. Spacious room. Small en-suite although completely functional. Spotlessly clean. Great location. Easy parking. Good communication from the host.

It was so easy to find the Rosslyn and parking was perfect! Just a stone’s throw from the beach with a friendly pub just opposite, very easy checkin and out, the entire property was immaculate and Cliff could not have been kinder or more helpful.

Brilliant location, easy enough to walk along the beach in low tide and then it’s just over the road!
Lounge facilities were comfy and tidy. Nice breakfasts. Cliff was knowledgeable about the area. Felt like staying with family friends.
Our room was on the smaller side but it had everything you could need. Old building so a bit topsy turvy going up and down stairs but they’re all marked.

A brilliant host, made us feel welcome and looked after us well, breakfast was delicious, parking was very good, the rosslyn is right near the beach, cliff is a wonderful man with nice conversations in the morning at breakfast, we as a family enjoyed our stay at the rosslyn.

Lovely lounge which we had to ourselves when we used it.
Cliff also obliged us by freezing our ice pack for our cool box

location, near beach and just far enough out of the way of the crowds at the air show. Owners very pleasant, excellent breakfast. Hotel clean and tidy.
Stairs narrow and steep. Room had everything but was old and very noisy toilet flush. Bed was old and rickety and mattress very very uncomfortable. although clean and tidy and decorated, it was painted over old holes and old wall paper. Shower very old, no where to dry off as that’s where the toilet was. The sink was in the room.

the room was clean..plenty of fresh towels..good cupboard space..large windows..toiletries provided..good amount of toilet roll..we had 2 rooms booked,cliff,the owner,upgraded the single room with shared toilet facilities,to a double room with ensuite for no extra charge..didnt see cliff on arrival,but the keys were left secure and it wasnt a problem..the breakfast room was of a fair size,only 1 other couple in there,we each had our own space..good selection of cereals,jams and marmalade..orange juice and fresh milk on table,coffee and tea provided..also proper butter and not the disgusting low fat spreads you usually find..breakfast was really nice,asked if we wanted extra toast,and when we had finished,asked if we wanted anything else..cliff was chatty and asked about our stay,he had local knowledge on various places..a very good host.also free parking for all rooms.
the only fault i can mention is the tea/coffee tray,was abit basic and when the drinks were made,they had a strange taste,so didnt drink them.
