The food in the restaurant was well priced, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable
The bedroom could’ve been cleaner specifically the bathroom. There was loads of marks on the bath that were unidentifiable. The drink prices were very disproportionate when considering they cost almost the same as a meal.

Location
A bit of maintenance work in the room and the bathroom would be appreciated.
3.4
It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was not very good especialy he continental breakfast.
Very noisy until drinkers left at 11.15, floors were creeking so could hear the person moving around above us very early in the morning and night.

Location
Dirty, old, noisy

Great location, the hotel is in a fantastic pub, very lively, good food and cheap drinks. The rooms are cozy and clean.
At night the room got a little warm.
3.4
Excellent beer garden busy with graduating students & families, good-sized rooms & bathroom freshly redecorated, all facilities. Very nice stay.
It was very busy so delay to meal was not too unexpected, compensated by staff with generous complementary round of drinks - the best gin & tonic for years!!

Great location, good atmosphere, good price for the area, convenient to have the pub downstairs, not too noisy either. Basic room but comfortable.
Breakfast was ok, shame some things were off the menu and NO REAL COFFEE (couldnt they offer it from the machine in the bar?) No parking.
3.4
The room was quite spacious with a good shower, we didn't spend much time there, literally dropped our bags and went to a function, slept over night and left around 10 am the following day, staff were great.
Our rooms were on the top floor, which was up three flights of stairs and no lifts.
3.4
Large rooms and good sized bathrooms. Staff are really friendly and happy to help where they can. The pub itself is great and is reasonably priced.
Fairly early check in time to watch out for, meaning you generally need to check in before you head out in Bristol. Although located on a main road, there is limited nearby parking, so I would suggest taking public transport if available.
3.4
location and cleanliness and price
staff seemed clueless to hotel guests needs - where to park , what time to check in etc. bar staff need serious customer care training
3.4
The staff of the hotel was really kind.
Also, we've loved the fact that we hadn't any limitation to go inside or outside of the hotel at any hour.
We had a lot of facilities and we've enjoyed our kettle with the coffe we had, all thanks to the hotel.
The room was really nice with nice views.
Im general, a really good experience with a nice price.
The only small problem we had at our room was that the water pressure of the bath/shower wasn't the best. Also, we needed some tricks to be able to use the hot water on the sower. It was easier to have a nice hot bath than a hot shower.

Good breakfast, room clean
Out dated

The location for Ashton Gate was our reason for selecting this hotel and everything was in walking distance which was as we wanted it. Didn't realised how hilly Bristol is tho! The food was good as were the drinks and the prices along with the staff.
The family room was very dated, ripped wallpaper and in need of repainting. The beds were also ripped around the bottom of them and along with old carpets just made the room look quite shabby overall, wouldn't take too much to get it looking much nicer.
No parking which we knew however all the roads anywhere around the hotel for quite some distance were permit holders only, we ending up parking at the zoo!

Friendly staff
Dated rooms. Wood chip on the wall. Very worn out. I know they say you get what you pay for but i expected a little more. Every board in our room squeaked. Could hear anyone walking past the room and in neighbouring rooms. Not mamy sockets and switch for lights by the bed above the headboard with a low large hanging picture and light right above the bed.
Hard mattress to sleep on so woke up with back ache.
Squeaky bed
Pillows too firm not even a soft 1 for contrast
Doors poorly fitted/hung so let in light under doors
Curtains tired and didnt block out much light
Shower facilities no good for a hot shower and the bath tub it self had broken edges connecting the bath panel
Not sure what half the marks on bathroom wall were
3.4
Location and exterior of the building
Disgusting towels, with a chewing gum from a previous guest attached on them
Difficult to get hot water from the shower
Windows do not close properly
The bed is damaged all around
A disgusting brown paste (sealant?) comes out of the fire alarm
Is this a hotel?

Location in Clifton was great. Being above a pub/restaurant was another bonus.
Rooms smaller than expected but that’s due to a advert photo leading expectation.
3.4
Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. location was great, out of the way but easy to get into the centre of the city.
Bathroom was unclean as well as the panel on the bath falling off. Lots of noise throughout the night from within the building, what sounded like staff communicating from opposite ends of the corridor at about 3am. Checking in took substantially longer than I would expect.
3.4
good location and the bar looked fun
there was a dirty towel in the doorway the paint was chipped on the walls and the bottoms of the bed. there was a whole in the wall. the decor and bed were very tired. carpet looked old
3.4
Great place if you’re looking to enjoy the bar below and/or stay out late partying in Bristol. Great price for location, close to the university, tons of great restaurants close by, quick busses into the city or 20 min walk!
Wouldn’t recommend for families, and not accessible at all. Rooms are outdated and could use some TLC.

The room was shabby , my child found a vape e-cig on the floor and a tampon
Hole in the wall, no hot water. Toilet roll holder fell of wall
3.4
Good location and delightful old building.
The full breakfast is not included in the overall price - unlike similar hotels we have stayed in.
3.4
superb location, nice spacious room with good bathroom, great breakfast for value, nice friendly staff. All very good and highly recommende.
The wifi is far too complicated to ever log into. why not have a simple free wifi rather than having to go through endless passwords and sharing our life story? that certainly would be good to change!
3.4
Extremely quiet both inside and outside the hotel. Large, spacious bedrooms.
The price hike due to a nearby festival.
