clean beds. easy check in and great location right inside the mailbox. restaurants and Tesco right outside for all your essential needs. staff were also thorough with check in and going over requirements
no discounted parking available anymore which they didn’t specify. so if you park your car at the mailbox you will be paying full price

The room was a good size and clean. There were plenty of charging points. The location was good and the area was quiet.
This was a room for a disabled person which wasn't necessary. The bed was smaller than I expected.

Breakfast could have been better, but great hotel in a great location
Breakfast

It was in a good location, was clean and the shower was very good.
It got a bit hot in the room and the fire alarm went off for about 20 seconds at about 8an but there was no explanation why

Nice location
Super clean facilities
Nice breakfast
Lovely staff
It was quite cold and you couldn’t adjust the temperature in room. we called to ask for the temperature to be changed however it stayed the same therefore a very cold night!
this is not the hotels fault however across the road some people were having a party and the people in the room next to us were arguing very loudly which meant very disruptive sleep.

Location.
Left £2600 laptop in room. Called later that evening to be told it had not been handed in. I said the cleaners were at the nest room as I left. Then 15 minutes later they found it in cleaning room. I was told. “Cleaners do not report found items unless customers call to say”. Wow I spoke to a Personal friend manager of travel lodge. They couldn’t believe it. It’s not a sock or a piece of underwear. Which could be the case. I explained that the day later I’m back off to spain. They said they can’t just send it to me same day and would need me to provide intensification and wait until they know the costs of sending with insurance. I then said a friend can collect he is a Dr and 6 feet 8” so can’t miss him. They said how do they know it’s me on the phone. Wow. I said only I know exactly the position I left the laptop and what time I checked in and out and what time I had breakfast. Still very difficult to deal with. I can’t believe the policy of a Marriot is do not let reception know and only mention it if customer asks. They tried to back track and say they were very busy and therefore couldn’t let reception know. I said they found it in my room is that correct. They said yes. I said so is there a phone in my room. They answered you know there is and there is one in all rooms. So how long does it take for a cleaner to pick the receiver up press number 9 and say. Oh the person just checked out has left his laptop. I left Birmingham 3 1/2 hours later. They could have called or emailed me. But did not. Unbelievable as my girlfriend left a card in a hotel in France only 3 star and they called us en route to spain previously and said oh you have left a card. They offers to send to home address in uk. We said in way to spain address. They sent it to that address for us. That’s only a card. Not an expensive piece of business equipment.

Good location with plenty of facilities close by: range of restaurants, cafes; small supermarket; cinema. Convenient parking under the complex readily accessible from major road into the city. Varied breakfast buffet with option of eggs cooked to order; all good quality. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, organising taxis etc.
We have stayed here a couple of times and none of the rooms we have been allocated has exactly had an enchanting outlook, although this is probably largely a function of the location. The breakfast room/bar area was too aggressively air-conditioned. Whilst we were staying there during July, this was an English July i.e. breezy, chilly, intermittently raining and with a high of 15C; not only was it unnecessary and a waste of energy, but it made the environment borderline uncomfortable. I naively got stung on the price. Having booked well in advance and with precise travel plans still in a state of flux, I made this reservation on a free-cancellation basis. When it became clear that we only needed a two-night, rather than three-night, stay, I amended the booking. Only when I came to finalise that process did it become clear that the unit price for the two remaining nights was being increased in the process of cancelling the third. At this point it occurred to me that the smart thing to do would to cancel my booking and get my wife to re-book from scratch. However, having sunk time into the amendment process and with further lost administrative time looming I decided it wasn't worth the effort. I do not know if this is a result of hotel or intermediary pricing policy, but I will be alive to it next time.

Great location and fantastic, friendly welcome and all round service, specifically from Nisha on front desk. Rooms are a good size and well maintained.
Hotel is generally starting to feel somewhat dated, given the room rate it is beginning to look a little tired around the edges. Bar prices are very high, especially considering the many options around the hotel, at far lower price point.
Main issue I had was ...
I enquired about a late check out the night before departure and was told this would be fine (there was a national rail strike and I was attempting to plan an alternate route home), I was advised that I could book this now or in the morning.
On coming down in the morning to confirm this and pay, I was told by Greta, this was not possible, as the hotel was fully booked (even though rooms were still available online). I explained what I had been told and was given several reasons why this was impossible (being fully booked, expecting a group of 70), all amounting to a 'computer says no' attitude. Greta was abrupt and unhelpful, I asked to speak to the duty manager, she advised that she was the duty manager and nothing could be done. Eventually, she agreed that I could talk to her colleague Ian. Ian was fantastic and within 5 mins he had extended my room and informed housekeeping that I would be a late checkout.
Service from Ian and Nisha was outstanding and what I would expect from a Marriott branded property. This is the only reason I will return to this property.
Based on Greta's 'can't do attitude', I would have been booking future stays with an alternate hotel!

Nothing in particular. Typical cookie cutter big box little box hotel. Nothing to write home about, Nothing to gripe about.
Nothing in particular. Just typical bland vanilla branded hotel

Overall the cleanliness and sleek design was very appealing, the room was a good size and had everything you would need.
Bed wasn't the most comfortable as it was two single mattresses on a large king sized frame. However there was lots of space and all bedding was comfortable.
4.2
Very clean and spacious room with a lovely view. I loved the wooden floor in the room made the room feel even more spacious
The bar could do with more options on tap
4.2
Breakfast was lovely and the bed size was fab.
No mirror in the main room. So when i plugged the hairdryer in, i couldnt see myself at the dressing table, i was looking into the floor length mirror on the back of the door.
4.2
Convenient location
Cleaners were very noisy, black sheep coffee is best avoided as the coffee is best described as brown sadness water. Hotel is poor value for money and in my opinion is not the star class it represents.
4.2
Breakfast was brilliant - lots of choice, high quality and tasty. Friendly and helpful staff. Great view and a quiet, comfy room - so we got a good nights sleep
Shampoo had run out in the bathroom and the shower wasn’t very powerful

Breakfast was good until you put on a stone cold plate, cooled very quickly.
Noisy fridge in room. Cold plates at breakfast.

Location was really good 👍
Breakfast could of been better
4.2
The location of the hotel
The room was not made available until after 7pm on a Saturday night, the rude shift manager informed me that the hotel only had one person on room service cleaning rooms, and the hotel actually had until midnight to make the room available, I tried to get a refund and book into another nearby hotel to salvage my plans, but I was informed that the cancellation rule applies and I would loose my money and not get a refund, therefore, as a result of the poor service received at this hotel, I missed my reservation at a restaurant in Birmingham, which in turn vitally ruined my night out.
4.2
The staff were very welcoming & friendly. Greta, who checked us in, was extremely polite, kind, and professional. I needed a little help with something during our stay and Ian, another member of staff at reception, was really helpful.
The room had a chic, minimalistic feel to it, which we really liked. It's a well-considered design choice.
The only thing that could've made the room slightly better is a mirror above the desk / chair space. Other than that, everything was great.
4.2
Excellent location. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of little extras
4.2
The staff were amazing! The rooms were nice. The location is just 11/10. Will definitely be returning
The rooms need a little bit of TLC. The headboard on the bed were rather broken with holes in the leather. The bedding didn’t fit the bed properly and marks on pillow cases were noticed.

very nice place in a good location, very clean and staff polite and helpful.
Booked for a peaceful night away from kids hoping for a good night out and a bit of a lie in on Saturday morning, unfortunately the lie in didn’t happen as the fire alarm went off at around 7am apparently due to toast being burnt, to be fair this was the only thing that ruined a pleasant stay.

Good location for everything in Birmingham
Noisy fridge
Noise of drilling Monday morning

Good location, nicely friendly atmosphere
I know it's city centre, but glasses in the room would be nice. Even
