We were delighted with the location: A block to the beach and a short walk to town. What more could you ask for! The sun-filled porch was lovely, the chairs perfect for a beach setting. The cabin was cute and suited our needs. We truly enjoyed our stay ;-)

When we arrived, the beds were made but when we pulled back the bedspreads we were surprised to find a soiled bottom sheet without a top sheet. We found wet towels in the dryer and had several hand towels but no washcloths. Dog food was on the floor in the kitchen and bedrooms. The carpets were filthy and when I pulled the rubber mat up in the upstairs bathroom the tub was full of sand. We even found underwear under the bed and a sock in the bushes out front.
But the most troubling was the broken and missing blind in the front window. We had to hang a sheet in the window so we could have privacy in the evening. The location was excellent, but the house is in need of some maintenance deep cleaning if we were to return.

Our family of 4 stayed here over July 4th and absolutely loved it! The house is just 1 block off the beach and a few blocks away from all the downtown shops, really terrific location in a quiet residential area. Front porch has comfy seating for 4 and is perfect for morning coffee/nighttime star gazing. The kitchen was really well equipped with plenty of spices and cookware, great for meal prep. The house stayed really cool and comfy even during a heat wave, which was a big bonus. Highly recommend!

Great location - close to the beach and to town. The home is well appointed, and good for a pet as it has a fenced back yard. The porch is the best feature of the cabin; lovely place to hang out. Due to the location and size of the upper level stairs, the living room is cramped and not comfortable for more than four people. The kitchen is good sized and open nicely to the dining area. The furniture and carpet is loved, so you can feel more comfortable having your furry family members join you here. The “gas” fireplace warms the place up nicely. Would stay there again.

Manzanita is a beautiful small town and the property was quiet and lovely.

Thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and time to spend with family. We loved the time with our 8 month old granddaughter.
We left a few paper bags of recycling in laundry room. Don’t see a specified container for recycling items. You should consider better instructions.
If it works out, we would come again. We appreciated the cleanliness. We took advantage of the lovely kitchen, dining and living room areas. We left used sheets and towels in respective rooms.

Cozy natural wood interior cabin with all the amenities. Great kitchen. Perfect for four and two dogs. Actually had real cable TV. So many VRBOs now only have limited streaming and force you to enter your own accounts. Will definitely stay again.

This is the first time we have stayed in a place without a beach view. It was perfect. The weather was terrible; we couldn’t even set foot on the beach due to the high waves. But we were protected and cozy in our little cabin. The knotty pine interior was so warm and welcoming. We read and watched TV and had a very relaxing stay.

This cute and cozy cottage was well-equipped and in a great location - close to both town and beach. We enjoyed the gas fireplace, comfy beds and playing games games at the dining table. It would have been nice to have instructions for using the TV, but we managed. Definitely would book here again!!

Great location close to beach and restaurants. The bedding was nicer than places we stayed in the past, especially the nice sheets. We really appreciated the extra blankets as well.
Loved the driveway for packing in and out. The porch is very nice as well. We loved the dinning table to look out the window and drink coffee before a beach walk.

The cabin was cozy and a nice location. Walking distance to town and beach. We appreciated the stocked kitchen, complementary coffee, toiletries and other items to make our stay comfortable.
My only complaint is that the fire place was not working. This was a big disappoint especially in the cooler evenings. I reported it to and a person came out to look at it and could not resolve the issue. They said it needed to be repaired by professional. I was curious if other guests had the same issue. I read some prior reviews and a guest mentioned that the fire place was not working Why wasn’t it fixed when a previous guest mentioned it? Is this a ongoing issue? It would have been nice to know this before booking.

Clean and lots of wood natural feeling. Rest of living was not the house but the cool ocean air.

Adorable, well organized space with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Very easy stroll to shops, food, and beach and comfortable accommodations. Manzanita is just the best! Thanks so much!

Loved the deck in the front, good location, clean, cozy and comfortable except for the unseasonably hot temperatures without any fans to use. Would have appreciated a box of tissues, laundry detergent and more than 3oz of liquid dish detergent which was literally all that was provided for three days use but we made due. Only three negative takeaways: I recall that there wasn’t supposed to be a gas grill available but upon arrival there was one on the back patios…? The tablecloth was dirty upon arrival and; since there wasn’t any laundry detergent, we couldn’t wash it/ use it. There was a nice little shady patio out back but without any furniture so we were unable to take advantage of outside time in the heat.

Lovely property - just a short walk to the beach and as it is set in the trees it was out of the wind! The front porch is ideal for a glass of wine and a snack in the afternoon sun great kitchen which we appreciated as dining options locally were very limited at this time of year and all closed early if they opened at all!

Good: Fireplace, amenities in kitchen, gas grill great!, distance to town and beach close!
What could make it better: Kitchen needs regular water glasses. Closets need more hangers.

Great little spot, very comfortable and fantastic location. Upstairs has a queen room, a twin room, and a bathroom - perfect for our little family. Downstairs had another queen room and a bathroom. Mattresses were very comfortable and we slept well. Only wish there were screens on the first floor doors to be able to get more fresh air into the house. Very appreciative as they seemed to have washed linens in unscented detergent prior to our arrival, and filled soap dispensers with unscented soap, per our request (despite our request not being acknowledged prior to arrival). Easy access for walks on the beach. Would be glad to stay there again.

The best thing about this cabin is the location--close to the beach and the town. For those reasons, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the issues. The place was poorly cleaned when we arrived, and many things were broken. I took a list to the management company in town, but as long as we were there, which was three weeks, nothing was repaired. In some cases, parts needed to be ordered, but others were a simple fix. The kitchen is well stocked with plates and cookware, and there are plenty of towels. However, there are zero pantry items. No salt, pepper, oil, sugar, plastic wrap, foil, or any of the basic items I usually find in a rental. Also, it's very dark. Very dark. The pictures don't show how dark it is. The furnishings are good quality.
During our three week stay, we ran out of toilet paper, dish soap, laundry soap, and paper towels. I had to purchase them myself. I didn't notice until the day before we were leaving that check-out is 10:00 a.m. 10:00 a.m.?! That's on me for not checking earlier. When I called to request more time, I was denied. Three weeks of stuff is a lot to pack up. It wasn't policy to extend the time, they said, and they wouldn't budge. I told them I would include the lack of flexibility in my review. (I've never written a review like this before. I've never felt the need.)
It was great to be at the beach and get away from Portland's hot weather. I'd like to do the same in 2023, but I won't book this house. In addition to the lax maintainance and cleaning, the cost for the same three weeks in 2023 is close to $10,900. I paid $6690. That's price gouging as far as I'm concerned. It's possible all beach rental prices have skyrocketed. I haven't checked.

Had a great time at the cabin. It is cozy as the name implies, but works fine for 4 people with a dog. Great location with very easy access to town and beach. The kitchen could use some re-stocking of glasses and the upstairs second bedroom window was broken and could not be opened, but other than that it was really a great little cabin that worked out well for us and was clean.

Cozy Cabin is in a great location in a small coastal community. It's located in a very quiet area with a short walk to an expansive beach and the heart of the town. While it's advertised as sleeping 6, which it does, it's better suited for 4 guests. The cabin is well stocked and didn't appear to be lacking any necessities. The interior is nicely decorated and comfortable, but there are a few areas that need some maintenance attention. The exterior grounds could also use some attention. The pricing structure is odd with a lot of add-ons that would be better included in the base price to get an accurate upfront cost, which seems comparable with other properties. There is a rather extensive list of rules with some strange requirements, like charging if furniture is moved out of place and requesting that renters strip beds and start laundry. In spite of some of the negatives, I would recommend Cozy Cabin for a comfortable getaway.

Enjoyed the stay although spent too much time trying to access use of cable & DVD and disappointed in lack of communication from Sunset especially after maintenance came to the home and reported it had issues in the past with access.

Overall stay was great. Good proximity to town and beach. House was clean, cozy and provided all necessary accommodations. Our recommendation though, would be to add additional lighting. It is very dark, and that was with very sunny days. Also only having 2 small loveseats would make seating challenging for more than 2 people. I would replace the loveseat along the window with a full size couch to provide more capacity and comfort. Would also recommend Sunset try to better automate the paperwork process, given the virtual world we now live in, having digital documents. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company

The Cozy Cabin was very clean, well stocked and overall comfortable. The procedures for check-in and check-out, especially related to Covid felt very safe. The process to rent the cabin was easy and we appreciated the complimentary 1pm checkout. We’d highly recommend this place to anyone. We’d stay again!

This cozy cabin was very clean and nice. My only complaint is that we would have liked a few additional kitchen basics (i.e. glass measuring cup, bigger cutting board). But besides those small things this was a very nice cabin and we had a great time.

Exactly as described and pictured! Our family of 3 (& 2 dogs) were very comfortable and well equipped for a perfect stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had everything we needed to create a feast in this small, but well equipped kitchen. The short walk to the highly accessible beach was just a few minutes away, 5 at most.
