Extremely helpful and welcoming reception staff. Cheerful bar staffs.

Room very comfortable but stairs and passage ways dirty. Food left on floors, carpets need cleaning or replacing. Coolers in bar not working so no cold drinks available and beer pumps not working. Was advised that Waitrose was next door to get drinks and the hotel would provide glasses

I recently stayed here for a night and regret not staying somewhere else.
The room was freezing and the hotel noisy. There's zero sound insulation so I was woken in the night by someone in the room above going for a wee. In the morning I was woken by the same thing by the person in the room next to me.
I'd paid for breakfast and regret that. As someone who doesn't like a full English often there was very limited options aside from that - cereal and stale pastries. I'd have been better off going to Starbucks or service station.
This place is cheap for a reason. Do not let the brand name deceive you

Excellent stay - friendly helpful staff.

Don't stay at this grubby truck stop hotel in the middle of nowhere.
It is nothing like the pictures represent.

Stayed here a few times now and it’s always good . My only problem is this year I had to pay £15 to park for 3 nights when all the signs said free parking for guests. Little bit confused on that. Couldn’t get clarification from reception as to why this was.

Whilst the staff seem friendly and accommodating, this hotel is tired and shabby. Threadbare carpets and chopped and grubby paintwork. Uncomfortable bed. Not an experience I'll be repeating!

The reviews are right about how run down this place is. Unfortunately the lack of care extends throughout.
In our room there were drink stains on the wall, goodness-knows-what stains on the bedsheets, hairs on the shower head and broken plug sockets. When we complained at reception we got a shrug. One person behind reception ignored us altogether, which we were later told was because they don’t actually work there. Which makes it even stranger that they’d been in the kitchen a little earlier.
Eventually we got a call to offer a 50% refund, which we accepted… though it didn’t actually materialise as 50% because they didn’t include breakfast.
It’s cheap, it’s in a helpful location, you’ll probably sleep ok. Just set your expectations very low indeed.

I arrived and was told I had to pay £5 for parking, despite no prior notification of this, signage inside and outside the hotel stating “free guest parking” and when booking no mention of fees were suggested.
The room had dirty, dusty carpets and sweets stuck to them.
When I explained and showed staff about the parking fees and it’s obviously misleading, they literally didn’t care or offer any explanation.

Room no 37 was given to me. It is supposed to be executive room , but the fire door next to that room keeps on being banged morning and night, and past midnight and I get interrupted sleep and rest because of this.

On arrival, the room I had booked was not the room I was given. After some conversation, it appears they do not have the room I booked and it should not have been available to book. The corridor was very smelly, to the point that I was gagging walking through one particular section.
The room was comfortable enough, although there was some discarded rubbish on the floor from a previous guest.
There was a lot of noise from other hotel guests. It was obvious there were some groups living there and a number of screaming outbursts and shouting matches. This scared my children and they would not sleep without a case in front of the door. When the noise subsided long enough for them to get to sleep, they were woken by very loud repeated banging from the room above. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and we travel a lot!

The room was filthy and the staff was so rude and unhelpful
We didn’t stay out two nights left after the first nite
Our electrics went from the room and we couldn’t shower and the kettle was taken away as it caused a short fuse and wasn’t replaced

Trip was good. We know what we are getting. Good location when visiting friends in Oxford. Rooms are a bit tatty but it's clean.

Bed lamp not working. Phone network poor. At least the BT WiFi works but need to log on now and again.

Maintainance standards poor - wifi didn't work. Plug sockets blocked so unusuable. Roim very cold on arrival. Laminate flooring poorly fitted. Bathroom had paint peeling or not even applied in places. Door had poorly patched and filled hole.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

Stay was ok however l hadn’t read anywhere on the hotels.com app that there was a £5 charge for parking, it just said parking was available. I wasn’t very happy on check in to be told there was a charge, it is usually free for hotel guests.

Disappointed that we now have to pay fir car parking 😒 I won’t be returning!

The room was very clean and all very comfortable. Also having a walk in shower was a bonus due to having mobility issues. When we booked in I was asked if I wanted a ground floor room which was exactly what we wanted.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. First it is so dated and highly unhygienic place. They have never washed their carpet hence the entire hotel stinks and if you have dust allergy please stay away. Plus insets in the hotel room along with one of the worst mattress I have ever slept on. They seriously need to look on to the above issues as it’s not safe from health and safety concerns.please don’t book

What a lovely little stay !! Very very fast check in and the room was great especially for the money

Easy check in, very clean room, nicely furnished and equipped. Some slight signs of age with old, damaged light shades by the bed side and the shower was a bit on the small side and showing signs of age. But, having said that, everything worked, there was no slamming of doors, the bed was comfortable and I slept well. Would stay here again if the need arose.

Easy parking .. Great shopping/ food options next door albeit fast food (excellent kentucky)..
Tv a nightmare to use operate. Carpet needs good clean witha nozzle up against skirting boards..
Accom showing its age
Lick of paint needed.
But on the whole its ol.

Overall we had a good experience but the hotel lacked of many facilities for kids such as high chairs, there were only two and being a family friendly hotel I expected more. Body wash in the shower was completely empty, luckily I brought mine.

The room was dirty. Hotel looked very tired, in need of a face lift. No lift for suitcases. Convenient with good local shops. Would not recommend.

Staff was helpful and happy to helpful. However the room had a smell of cigarettes smoke even thou there was sign no smoking on the door. The room could be much more cleaner the carpet would do with replacement. Breakfast was nice and their gym.

When booked, it stated a double bed, double sofa bed and single bed. Rather than the double sofa bed, we had a single fold up bed. Staff were friendly. Chips were not all cooked through.

Get what you pay for I guess. Little things irked me. A tap that isn't big enough so as your pour it half the water goes into the overflow. No shelf in shower to put anything. Fan that blew out dirt when I switched it on. I felt afraid to go barefoot.
The stairs were grubby, the bar was a poor excuse for a bar really but I do get the limited space.
Also I booked online a family room yet got a standard double. Internet felt unsafe as my software get warning me against any online transactions whilst on it.

Room OK. On a service station so busy outside. Mattress does not compare well with Travelodge Ibis or Premier Inn

It not bad but a bit dirty.

Stayed for 1 night with my family as we drove home from Heathrow. The hotel facilities are very dated, cheap quality and not well attended.
As an example, shower handles and taps have clear rusty stains from use; the double bed mattress is so old that you can literally feel the sprung; electric fan isn't fully working as it does not turn; no air conditioning; soap bottle was completely empty, rubbish underneath the bed - the cleaning staff clearly didn't bother.
The parking site has a sign saying hotel guests park for free, but they still charge you £5 for overnight stay.
The only positive of this hotel is it is cheap. But I'd not visit again but choose a better place even it's more expensive.

All bar one staff member looked like they didn't want to be there. Room was like a sauna. Bed was like sleeping on a triangular prism.

When I booked this particular hotel I relied on the name Ramada. That was a big mistake.
The receptionist in the morning needs to be retrained on customer service. Having decided we would have breakfast there which was a reasonable price and having paid for our breakfast we were then confronted by the receptionist whilst still eating our breakfast asking if we had actually paid for it. This was in front of the rest of the restaurant which was quite busy.
This is not the kind of service one would expect from a property named Ramada. Would I use Ramada again after this experience? No has it changed my opinion of the Ramada group? Yes, very much so.
I have never felt so embarrassed whilst eating a breakfast that I paid for. Only one word comes to mind. Disgusted.

I given 3 star as due to price factor as at this rate it’s good to stay and convenient as it’s on M40 serice station . Overall lay out wa snot good carpet was little dirty .
