About this house rental
Come and enjoy our beautifully decorated, super clean, light, and airy 1 bedroom plus Loft Townhouse with 2 full and freshly remodeled bathrooms in the heart of Mammoth Lakes.
Our kitchen is well equipped with good cookware, sharp knives, a coffee maker and hot water pot, blender, crockpot, toaster, and service for 10. We supply the fastest wireless internet service available for our complex, cable with a smart TV (including Netflix and Roku), surround sound, a Gas BBQ on the deck, and more. The bedroom and 1 bathroom are located on the ground level, the living area, dining room, kitchen and the second bath are located on the second floor, and the loft is on the third floor. The beautifully updated fireplace will keep the entire space warm and cozy as you enjoy playing board games, reading a great novel, eating, cooking, or watching a movie.
The Woodlands complex is very well-maintained and has a pool and Jacuzzi that is open for guest use. It's an easy 10-minute stroll to Old Mammoth Road, the grocery store, and restaurants. Once you arrive, you can park your car and not worry about driving if you don't want to. The shuttle stops very close to our front door, so getting to the ski area, or around town, couldn't be easier. And since we're at shuttle stop #5, there's always room for you to jump on board - no standing in the cold while a full bus passes by.
We'll email you loads of information including suggestions for activities and restaurants, so don't worry about being lost or bored. This is the perfect basecamp for all of your mountain activities - Hiking, skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, fishing, boating/kayaking, golf, Standup Paddle Boarding.... But if you want to cozy up to the fire with a good book or watch a movie, we've also got you covered. It's the perfect place to spend a lazy day indoors. If you're like us, you'll have a hard time leaving when it's time to go home!
Since we love and want to preserve our mountain environment for future generations, our condo is about as green as it can be, including a pellet stove, LED lights, and energy-efficient appliances. We also donate a portion of your rental fee to a carbon offset program to reduce the impact of traveling to a second home.
Please carefully review our rental policies when booking. We strictly enforce our maximum occupancy of 6 people, including adults and children as well as our no-pets and no-smoking policies.
Business tax certificate # 7889: Our condo is legally registered with the town of Mammoth Lakes. We collect and pay the 14% transient occupancy tax, which supports the services you will enjoy while visiting Mammoth Lakes (including the town shuttle which stops outside our front door). Our certificate and cleaning logs are posted in a notebook at the condo. Guests should be aware that the exterior of the condo is monitored by a security camera.

We enjoyed staying at the Woodlands in Mammoth Lakes. The location was great for being able to walk or drive to most everything that we needed. It is a cozy space and the bathrooms have been upgraded and are beautiful. Margy, the owner, was really quick to respond and very helpful. I would stay here again and recommend the Woodlands!

This condo is just as described on the VRBO website. Super clean and perfect for families. It is close to shops and restaurants. It is also very quiet which is nice when you are on vacation.
Thanks to the hosts for offering this great property.

Stay was amazing. The only downside to the trip was Vrbo calling us and asking us to pay an extra $300 for taxes because their computers had a glitch and forgot to add in the taxes for the city, so when we declined to pay because it wasn't our fault that they didn't add them in, they ended up charging the host instead of picking up the cost since it was their (Vrbo's) screw up, and we ended up getting back 25% of our deposit because we felt the host shouldn't of had to pay either. So not sure I trust Vrbo anymore because they weren't willing to own up for their mistake!

We really enjoyed staying at this condo -- well-equipped for a stay with your family.

We booked this property for 5 nights during the snow season in Mammoth. We went with the intent of being in the mountain during the daytime and back at this property during the evening/night time. Location is perfect, the bus stop to the mountain (red line) is right outside. There are also many restaurants and a grocery store walking distance.
Everything went smoothly and the property is very nice and cozy.
The only thing that was confusing was some of the information provided in the check-in email. The email had 2 different codes to enter the house, which wasn't too hard to figure out but a bit confusing. Also the wifi name and password in the email is incorrect. The correct wifi name and password is in picture frames throughout the house. Also at the end of the email there is something about mailing some keys back, which we weren't given any keys. I assumed it was an old check-in email they used before they had the keyless entry installed. I would advise for the property owners or managers to update that email. Other than that, everything was really nice.
We were 6 people and we all enjoyed our time there.

Close to town but quiet, with a shuttle stop just across the street. Beautiful windows and extra light since it's an end unit. Beds were comfortable. Pellet stove was very effective and appreciated when it was snowing. Someone from the complex was out early and shoveled the walkway :) Kitchen was particularly well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes as well as some spices and sugar. We've stayed in many places in Mammoth and really liked this one.

My teenage son and I stayed a week in Mammoth with this nice condo as our base camp. It's located close to everything you need in town and provides easy access to all Mammoth has to offer. The description of the home was accurate and the owners were responsive to a couple of questions we had while visiting. The complex itself is also well maintainted and clean. I hope to get the entire family up to Mammoth sometime for more exploring--there is so much to see and do. I'll definitely check this listing again next time.

It was our first time visiting Mammoth in the summer and it did not disappoint. The condo was perfect for our family of 6 (4 kids age 12, 10, 8 & 5). We were pretty much out every day hiking, biking and exploring the different lakes, but the condo had everything we needed to relax and wind down after a long day outside. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need and we cooked all of our meals in the condo and the grill & patio were perfect for the summer nights. There were a lot of board games for the kids to play, books for kids and adults to read and the loft area was the perfect place for our 4 kids to sleep. They also enjoyed the pool & jacuzzi area nightly. I appreciated all of the mammoth recommendations that the hosts provided and they did not disappoint. Beautiful scenery within walking & biking distance and we will definitely be back.

Only concern for us was the stairs and loft as a hazard for our kids. But other than that it was perfect for a summer condo

Skiing in late June! This well maintained and equipped centrally located condo was a perfect base for our Mammoth family adventure. Hosts were extremely responsive and helpful in suggesting things for us to do. Kitchen has everything you need, wifi was fast, beds comfortable, bathrooms clean, and plenty of communal space on the middle floor. Very enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Margy and Bill’s condo for a few days in the middle of April. As other guests have noted, the condo is clean, well-stocked and has everything one needs to prepare meals.
Our favorite part of the vacation rental is the open living room, dining area and kitchen on the second floor. The couch is very comfortable and made for relaxing evenings after spending the day on the slopes. Having access to Margy and Bill’s guest Netflix account was a nice bonus.
We were a little concerned about traffic noise given that the condo is right on a street corner, but we were not bothered by any noise. However, Mammoth was still inundated with massive amounts of snow. In fact, the first floor of the condo was still enveloped in it. Due to the amount of snow, we did not get a good sense of the area the condo is located in. But we enjoyed the views of mature trees surrounding the complex.
Thanks to other reviews, we were aware of the carpet in the bathrooms. We brought slippers, which worked for us.
Various free bus shuttles are within walking distance to the condo. Besides the red line right out front, the green line is only a 5-minute walk from the condo. It was a quick and easy way to get up to Eagle Lodge.

We loved our stay at this condo. It was cozy, well stocked, clean and comfortable. We loved how it was decorated...very mountain chic! We had excellent communication with the owners and the complex was well maintained. There was an insane amount of snow and the complex was great about keeping the parking lots and walkways clear. It was a great experience!

We had a wonderful 4 nights in this property and our first time in Mammoth for a hockey tournament and ski lessons. The property is in an excellent location, the property was spacious, clean and warm. We used the pellet stove often which made the loving area warm and cozy especially since we had a snowstorm come.our way. It was fully equipped and had all the necessary items you would expect including shovels for the snow. Margy was very attentive, easily reachable when we had questions. She is an excellent host and you can tell she cares and takes pride in the property. Location is close to town, grocery stores and restaurants.

We had an amazing time at Margy and Bill’s property. The location was great, they helped us throughout the whole process, all the way from booking till we left Mammoth Lakes. The place was clean and had all the amenities needed for us to feel at home! I would definitely recommend staying here!

My wife and I have stayed in many places over the 20+ years we’ve visited. Margy and Bill’s condo is by far the most comfortable and best stocked place we’ve stayed. The condo was very spacious for the 3 (son included) of us, and the pellet stove/fireplace provided plenty of warmth. Location was convenient to the hot tub after a day on the mountains, and the bus stop was very close by to take into town. We had an amazing time and would love to stay here again!

Wonderful family vacation!
The condo was so welcoming, accommodating and comfortable! It was in a perfect location and we frequented the free trolley that had a stop right next to the condo to get all over town. We trolleyed to restaurants and just to sight-see and used it after the kids got tired from walking… we even saw two beautiful mild-mannered bears in the neighborhood! We were in a perfect spot to drive to amazing hikes and lakes. Would love to stay here again…

Loved the stay!
Very clean, comfortable and spacious charming cabin in a quiet part of the town in a convenient location from restaurants and stores. We loved the fireplace and the patio space - the great care taken for guests, like tips on places to visit and family recipes. The town of Mammoth Lakes itself is quite charming too and we visited places like Mono Lake, Devils Postpiles and the Yosemite. We'd love to come back!
