Our Stay
Our stay at this property was great! The house was very clean and had plenty of space. The location was also perfect! Walking distance to all of the good shops and restaurants!

A wonderful house and location for summer vacation!
We had a great stay! The house is charming and comfortable with a modern kitchen. We enjoyed the outdoor porch and deck, and the grilling. The place is well kept, and the location cannot be beat! We very much appreciated the advance information we received (eg the house is not child proof, parking info). We would return!

Family Getaway!
We had a great time at this property. It was probably one of the cleanest rentals I’ve ever stayed at. Amazing location! I guess my only recommendation would be to update front and back outside furniture.(More comfy because people watching and sitting on the front porch is the best) and a new air conditioner it was a bit noisy. Other than that…I would definitely stay again!

Walkers Delight
Park your car and put the keys away until you leave. Restaurants and shops are right there. Small park for the kids is a block away, and grocery store is two blocks away. Even the walk to Easton’s beach is about 1 mile and very doable. The house is a typical New England home c1890’s with the old charm of some squeaky floors and doors, mixed in with updated amenities. Nice people watching from the front porch, and a secluded back deck with fenced in yard. We will certainly return!

Excellent Rental
Loved everything about this house, especially the location which was walking distance to everything in the lovely City of Newport. If you appreciate being walking distance from everything and the charm of an older ( but nicely renovated) house with both a front porch and a back deck with an excellent BBQ grill, you can’t go wrong with this rental.

Location, location, location.
We were very pleased with this rental. Not only did it have all the amenities to provide a comfortable stay, it was within walking distance of the cliff walk, mansions and Thames street.

Found this gem on VRBO for our family summer vacation - we had a fabulous time! Walked to a different coffee shop every morning, walked to different cocktail place and dinner place every night! Great shops and fantastic beaches a short drive from the house. The location is perfect! We had an amazing and memorable family vacation!

Home away from home!
My husband and I stayed here for nearly 2 months and loved it! Great location, super walkable to all the restaurants and shops. We also had our dog, Jen, with us and she loved the adorable fenced in back yard! The owner called to check on us when we arrived and was super helpful. We loved our stay and will be back!

A wonderful stay for our family
Simply put, it felt like home. The property offers four bedrooms, including a basement suite with a full bath, a nice kitchen (plenty of dishes, silverware, glassware), a front porch with seating for four (good people watching), a back deck with a grill and patio table, and a small backyard. The pair of off-street parking spots is a bonus in downtown Newport. You're just a short walk from restaurants, ice cream and the harbor.

Newport Village Home
We enjoyed the stay in this older New England home. Location is perfect, as you are only steps away from the Main Street of shops restaurants and attractions....and the water! With our large group we were able to make the sleeping arrangements work. The lower level has a brand new remodeled bathroom and studio area. With the older architecture be aware the stairways are steep and narrow. The home is well furnished, and we really enjoyed our stay. Really easy to check in and out. We had no issues on our stay. Thanks!!

This is a great house to stay in if you want to be close to all the action. Our goal was to not have to drive much. We were able to walk to everything. We even walked to the beach, took less than 30 min, or a 7 minute drive. House has everything and gives you a "taste" of what living in a house build around 1800 is all about, only with modern conveniences! Loved that there was a grill too.

Charming and convenient!
We visited Newport for our son's NAPS graduation and this house was perfect! We had plenty of room for our party of 6 plus a couple M/Cs that ended up crashing with us. I loved that we could walk to a number of restaurants and only 10 min to the Naval Station. I would definitely stay here again.

Charming House in perfect location!!!
We stayed in this charming home over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had record low temps. and the house was toasty and warm. It is an older home with some modern updates. The uneven floors and doorways lent to its charm and character. The kitchen and baths are all updated, and there is a finished lower level as well, offering plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There is deck off the back off the house and a small fenced in yard area. There is parking to the left of the house for two cars tandem style. It will fit 2 medium sized cars or an suv and a small car.
The location is absolutely perfect. It is on a side street just off of Thames Street so you can easily walk to all of the shops and restaurants. It is a very short drive to the Cliff Walk and the mansions.
Check in and out out was a breeze and the owner's were quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the Newport area.

The house was very comfortable for our family...a great location too!
The house was comfortable for our family...six of us. We never felt crowded or in each other's way. The kitchen and bathrooms have been upgraded - perfect. The house is located one block from the water and the shops. A great area to walk around in. We were only a few blocks from the mansions. The house had everything we needed - from linens, towels, kitchen appliances and utensils. The owners put their hearts and souls into making it a great house to rent!

This place was absolutely incredible! The location can not be beat!
Everything about our experience with this rental was superb. Instructions from the owner were very clear and if we needed anything the property owners were always available. The home had every amenity we needed and the location itself helped us have an unforgettable weekend in Newport. I would return in a heartbeat.

Perfect place to stay for sailing regattas
My grandson and his crew had a sailing regatta during the first two weeks of August, of which, I was the chaperone. As there was only 3 of us most of the time, we each had our own bedroom on our own floor. In that manner, we all had our privacy and even better, there were two full baths, one upstairs and one in the basement; and a half bath on the first floor. My family spent one weekend with us so the extra bedroom upstairs came in handy.
The house is very conveniently located to downtown and walk-able to many of the restaurants. In addition, it is very near to a super market (Stop and Shop) and of course, all of the mansions as well.
The home may look a little dated on the outside but on the inside, it was clean and functional. It also had a grill in the back if you needed to cook up some steaks and burgers. It was exceptionally hot during early August so we were relieved that all the air conditioning units worked to perfection.
Parking was a little tight but as long as you don't have extraordinary large vehicles, two cars can fit into the allotted spot.
If you want something downtown and convenient to just about everything, consider this rental.

Cozy and Convenient
We were in town with family for our son's navy commissioning and the house fit us perfectly. The weather was cold and the house was very well heated and comfortable. The location was incredibly convenient to restaurants, St. Patrick's Day parade, church, and stores. There are two tandem parking spots that are adjacent to the house, making it very convenient. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

A period home 1 minute walk from all the action
This period home is well located for the bars and restaurants on Thame street and had parking (a big plus)
The cosy, compact property has been remodelled whilst retaining its period features. Check-in & check-out was super easy and Dan the owner was efficient and friendly. We really enjoyed our 3 day stay

Perfect Location! Great Spot!
We booked this adorable house for our 20th girls weekend. The location is amazing - it's a half block from Thames Street in Newport, where all of the action is. There's easy access to shopping and restaurants and it's very close to Bellevue Avenue where the mansions are. We toured Rough Point - Doris Duke's place. Great tour. There's also a nice car museum that's worth the stop. There are some good restaurants just a short walk from the house - Diego's and Clark Cooke House.
The house itself is charming. It's an older place, so some of the floors and doors are uneven, but there is a ton of room! Four bedrooms plus a basement futon, a big back deck with a grill and a table for hanging out plus a fully equipped kitchen. A sweet little front porch plus lots of space for reading and playing games. It's decorated so nicely and there's tons of towels. The two showers are new-ish and very cool, especially the basement bathroom.

Gorgeous Property Near Everything
The house is absolutely amazing! you can walk everywhere! there is a park nearby (2 minutes walk) and the harbor and the Newport center area are right there. The house has plenty of room for hanging out, for sleeping. The fully equipped kitchen with the grill outside on the deck allow you to cook a full meal if you don't want to go out. The charm of an old house is combined with all modern amenities, making this house unforgettable. Dan and Robin, the owners, are really nice and responsive and use the house themselves to get away, so they take care of it more than just a rental property. We are definitely going back!

Amazing Property!
My stay at this property was simply perfect! Everything is exactly as described, Dan the owner and his wife make themselves easily available before and during your stay should you have any questions at all. The location is perfect! You are able to walk to all restaurants and tons to do in the heart of Newport. The beach and cliff walk if a quick drive or a short bike ride. The house is perfect, charming and updated at the same time! I will definitely be back to stay at this property.
