Beautiful property with spacious rooms, lovely setting, and great amenities like a grand piano.
4.0
We stayed as a family of 6 (kid ages 5, 9, 14 & 17). First impression driving up to the house was nice, beautiful setting - so quiet and lots of beautiful homes nearby. Upon entering the home there was a very strong, odd smell (dog/cat maybe?). It either disappeared or we adjusted to it. The home is beautiful. Lots of antiques and knickknacks. Not super ideal for small children. The home suited our needs and was in a good location for our ventures to Silverwood. The biggest issue we had was the water, bringing your own is a must. The smell and taste of iron was very overwhelming.
Other than that, we had a nice stay!

Place worked wonderfully for us. The layout is perfect for family gathering. Only issue for us was water but we worked around it.

The property was overgrown by outside weeds, grass and bushes. Not as pictured. Inside was dirty and smelly, needed thorough cleaning. Paw prints all over Grand Piano, which was heartbreaking. Mouse droppings under furniture and first day we had a mouse run across one of our dogs. Furniture was smelly and carpeting stained/soiled. Contacted Evolve (property mgmt) at least a dozen times and got the basic leave message, text, chat, and we will contact you within 24 hours, which never happened. Finally got a contact, Carlos, who was the best part of our trip. He was very eager to help and did what he could. We had to wait for someone to come change a battery in high ceiling in smoke detector as it was going off. We had to be there for exterminator to come set traps for mice, as there were hundreds (his words) of mice droppings in the lower level. Lights would not turn off, fixtures dirty, switches didn't work. Vacuum was full and packed and could not unclog it, so could no use. 3 different can openers and none worked. We had issue with hot water and had to "time" when we would shower. Neighbors dog was running lose and there was a lot of poop on the property that we cleaned up as it was horrible. I left a list of items that needed addressed, but helper told us that they knew about some of them, so I'm assuming won't get taken care of. For the price we paid accommodations should have been A LOT better. Do not recommend.

Spacious with a rural feel
We had a great stay! The only problem was the Wifi - it was unusable (satellite, not sure which plan), even after contacting Vacasa/the owner. Just opening a website took literally minutes or timed out. Luckily we had a hotspot with us! That was the only way we were able to work from home. Cell signal is very good.
The house itself was great. Very spacious with large rooms (especially the open living/dining/kitchen and the Master Suite). Other than spices, oils etc, the kitchen had everything we needed and more - we cook a lot. Huge dining table. We also loved the grand piano, our daughter was able to practice during our longer stay. Furniture was dated but comfortable enough. Beds comfy. Gas fireplace great.
Rural feel, nice and quiet, but only 10 minutes to town. We saw elk and deer a few times, lots of wildlife and space for kids to run around.
Overall a great stay - just make sure you have your own internet source if you’re planning to work from home.

Bigger than it looks!
This is a lovely, large home, great for family get-togethers! The pictures don't do it justice. It's very spacious. Kitchen/dining and living room was great for our big family.
Would like to see owners upgrade beds to queens and a king in the master; there is plenty of space to do so! Also, update TVs; it's nice to have a movie as an evening or yucky weather day option. Putting in some money to the rental would go along way in getting return customers.

Enjoyed our stay
We very much enjoy our stay. The house was roomy and great location. The only thing that needs improvement is the tv and bed sizes.

Quiet restful retreat
4.0
Pros:
-Huge dining table, great for family meals and card games
-The family room flows easily into the kitchen, making the house very open and great for entertaining
-Lots of extra sheets, pillows and towels
-The perfect blend of quiet and remote location-wise, but still easy to find and close to downtown
-Seamless to book, enter the house, and check out (minimal check out requirements, but early check out time)
Cons:
-It's a small thing, but the house didn't have any multi-purpose cleaner, which made it tricky to tidy spills throughout the weekend
-Lots of knick knacks, which gives the house a dated feel and made it difficult to store food in the pantry
-The tv is very old, and there is only a small random selection of DVD's. Upgrading to a Smart TV with access to streaming services like Netflix would be a huge upgrade!

RamFam vacation
This house was beautifully kept. The warm feeling of home away from home. Soft carpets, plenty of space to relax, and property had plenty of space for outdoor fun also. There were plenty of extra blankets, utencils and cooking ware. Check in and check out were a breeze. We would highly recommend this house for family fun, and it is only 18 mins from Silverwood. Better deal than any hotel in the area.

So much on met potential .
Honestly, there was not much to love about the home itself. It is advertised as sleeping 8, but that would be impossible with the amenities, beds, and chairs available. The home just felt dirty/musty and neglected. The front covered porch/deck could be lovely, but there were 2 dirty mismatched chairs, no tables, and a gas grill that had not been cleaned in a long long time. The location is beautiful. It is convenient to town, and the scenery is lovely. Too bad the home does not invite you to enjoy that !

Nice get away!
Nice place to get away with the family! Quiet country home, yet close to Coeur d'Alene! We enjoyed our vacation! (The small gated area in the back of the garage needed to be mowed, but the rest of the property was mowed.)

Tons of potential, but not rental-ready as it currently sits
My first bad review ever. This property has a ton of potential as a rental unit, unfortunately after staying there and reading 5 years of reviews it is clear that there is just very little effort put into maintaining this listing. For context, we paid a considerable ammount for 7 nights. So we were not a casual renter.
Our initial experience checking in an hour after the designated check in time revealed the property managment company still on site. They quickly left as we arrived. Linens were still in the dryer, but worse, the floors and counters still had debris on them. As we checked in, we quickly discovered that the toilet paper and paper towels were nearly empty with no reserves. We immediately contacted the property management and recieved replacements about 24 hrs later. That was pretty poor response for saying we had almost no toilet paper left.
A day later we found there were no trash bags either. Frustrated with having to make calls back and forth, we used grocery bags...for the cost of this rental...not acceptable.
The kitchen is lacking basic supplies such as steak knives or a full set of bowls for a meal. These are easy to furnish from WalMart for minimal money. Just a simple fix to avoid frustrations. In looking at previous rental reviews going back 4 years, the same concerns were mentioned. $40 could mitigate this simple issue. But responses from the rental in 2017 claims that "this is being addressed".
The furniture is old, but not character old, it is just in disrepair. The couch has holes in the fabric and the bed frames are falling apart. Again, for the price of this rental, that is disappointing.
Finally the yard...while 4 years of responses to reviews claim the "sprinkler system is under repair", that is not the issue. The yard is overgrown with thistle and other weeds that make having kids or dogs play in it unsafe or unpleasant. The greenery around the house is completely overgrown and needs attention. The pictures do not reflect the current property condition. Again, a few hundred dollars for a landscaping company to come in and trim back the plants and treat the thistle would be a minimal investment to make the outdoor space useable. I am fine with not wasting water on grass in a drought. But at least mow down the weeds and thistle so the grounds can be walked on safely.
We rent for a week in CDA every summer and typically spend a fair amount on the property. This is by far the worst bang for the buck we have spent

Beautiful property
Great location, 10 minutes from downtown. Wonderful open living/kitchen/dining for visiting. Great for dogs. Quiet, lovely view.

great house some supplies not there or limited
beautiful acreage would love to live there permanently. only one tv had cable but it was from the early 80"s very limited channels. one roll of paper towels for 8 days..no salt no laundry soap. Paying this price you should have the basic essentials. loved the big kitchen homey feel! my two labs were in heaven!

Wonderful property. Could use a little upgrading of kitchen items.

we were exceptionally pleased with the location of this home. And the rich history inside the home from the past owner. this would be a music lover's paradise. Accessibility to Coeur d'Alene Resort and the lake and all the activities were close. it was nice to only have a five minute drive to Coeur d'Alene. The house is super clean yes the beds were a bit uncomfortable. we had an enjoyable stay the kitchen is huge and so is the living area. Thanks again.

Lovely home and location
We were looking for an open floor plan home for our family trip to cook meals and enjoy time visiting our son. This home gave us lots of space and a huge kitchen! Although the kitchen is large, it is ill equipped for cooking family meals. Some serving bowls, measuring cups and spoons, new grater, etc are necessary. There are lots of wine, juice glasses and coffee cups, but no tall beverage glasses for water or beer - we bought Solo cups.
We wanted to watch a football game together and the old box tv was a big downgrade. The master bedroom
sheets were a bit pilled. The screen on the sliding door to the back yard had a couple of big holes in it.
Lovely, solid house. They just need to give attention to some details in order to make it a great rental experience.

Peerless home
This is an amazing place! We absolutely loved the idyllic setting (a nearby field had a mama horse and her 1 month old foal), and the comfortable and beautiful home arrangements. The kitchen has all the cooking items we needed, the grill was amazing. But the coup de grace was absolutely the piano and music and literature library. We all we stunned by the history in the place. Our thanks to the maestro's family for sharing it with us. And, if the maestro was listening, I apologize for my somewhat sorry rendition of Voi Che Sapete and De Vieni Non Tardar. Wonderful, wonderful experience. Fantastic vacation to Coeur d'Alene.

Beautiful home in idyllic setting
Stayed here with my parents and 3 little kids, room for everyone. Great library to peruse after the kids were in bed. Amazingly lovely piano and scores abounding, if you play. 4 miles from the gorgeous city beach and park where we spent all our time. We had intended to take hikes, but the beach was just too marvelous and convenient.

Awesome place to stay!
We came into town for "Car D'alene" and this home worked perfect for us, plenty of room for parking (we had two trucks, two trailers and two classic cars), it was quiet and the perfect distance from everything! We definitely will try to stay here next year. The only minor flaw is that the tv's are out dated but we weren't there to watch tv anyway.

Great rural house
Great property with no neighbors right next to you, and close to town and lake. The beds were good, but the lighting inside could be better. Would definitively recommend.

Great Experience
This place was great and really enjoyed the location. I found the place to be extremely dog-friendly and the whole family enjoyed waking up in such a beautifully serene location.
The place could use a little updating but for the price and location we were definitely satisfied with our stay.

Nice big house. Glad we came prepared because it was not very well stocked. But way better than staying at a hotel!

Pretty valley area, quiet neighbors with beautiful custom homes
Very nice home, especially if your musically minded. My kids enjoyed the piano and the copious books of music and opera references. Neighbors dog were very friendly and met us on our porch on more than one morning. Kids liked the playmates.
