Property host Miriam was the best. Quiet peaceful.

We loved our stay at The Sanctuary Cabana! Our favorite part was sitting at the end of the dock, drinking our morning coffee watching the dolphins frolic! Miriam, the property manager was wonderful! She was always there to help with our needs. Johnny the grounds maintenance man was just as helpful and accommodating as was Victor our trusty night watchman and his sidekick Roy! We will truly miss our new friends and look forward to coming back.

We had such a wonderful time here last year that we came back for another week. Once again Mirriam took excellent care of us from picking us up at the airport, to dropping us back off at the end of the week. The cottage was lovely and had all that we needed. We had a week of snorkeling, relaxing and watching the dolphins at Anthony's Key. We will be back! Thanks again Mirriam!

Great spot on Sandy Bay. Close enough to walk along the beach to a few places to enjoy a meal. On site security at night is a plus, the dock is 100' off the reef for easy snorkel dips. The shower is a bit tight, we hope the manager and owner will renovate the space and make the spot even more PERFECT! Best hosts we have ever had the pleasure to meet!

This was a wonderful place to stay. Miriam, Johnny, and Victor made it even better. Being next to the dolphin Institute was a pure treat, and being able to snorkel and see so many amazing sea creatures right out from the dock was wonderful. I traveled down there with a torn rotator cuff, so I couldn’t do a whole lot heavy duty swimming, so this place was perfect

Beautiful view, dock access to the coral reef, kitchen stocked with everything necessary. The property manager was extremely helpful.

The proprty is great and Miriam & Johnny were both wonderful to work with. The evening dolphin watching from the dock became a nightly ritual.

Perfect place to stay if you want quiet, away from tourists. Had beach to myself, dock to myself. Felt very safe. Excellent views. Watched the dolphins every day. Easy to get a taxi. House was comfortable, grounds very nice. Easy walk to bar/restaurant. Wish I planned a bit better with grocery shopping that first day, gotten more food but I managed just fine. Had local meals recommended by the property manager—sooo good!!! Bring plenty of cash for tipping etc. Can be challenging finding working ATMs. Would definitely stay here again.

From our first arrival, we knew that we were in for a great experience at The Sanctuary! Miriam and her bunch were so accommodating.
Great little cabana right by the Caribbean Sea and protected from the prevailing winds with a location on Roatan that also provided us fantastic sunsets and good snorkeling!
Location was very convenient to explore and to visit restaurants and shops. Getting a taxi was easy as well. Two weeks of paradise!

What a wonderful week we had at the guest cabana at the sanctuary! Room for everything we needed and a perfect location! Miriam, Johnny and Victor made us feel so very welcome and take great care of the property and their guests. We snorkeled right from the dock to the reef a few times a day every day and it never got old. We saw tons of reef fish, cuttle fish, 3 different kinds of rays, an eel, lobsters and so many more. Having spotted eagle rays swoop past us 4 different times was a highlight for me. We ate breakfast every morning out on the lovely dock and watched the dolphins play just across the boat lane at Anthony's Key. We had wonderful dinners at the restaurants just down the beach, especially Blue Bahia. Thank you again Miriam, loved our time here at the Cabana!

Really great location. Steps from the water and access to the Marine Park. A short swim to the reef. Cozy cabana. Miriam and other staff very nice, helpful and always there to help if needed. Not a big space but great for 2. We likened it to a small version of Humphrey’s cabana in TV series Death in Paradise.

Wonderful, except a bit smaller than expected

The Cabana is located right on the beach with a beautiful warf and shaded area to sit. Snorking is possible just across and along the beach area about 20 feet out. Some grass but it's not a big problem. You can watch the dolphins from the warf!
The cabana is perfect for 2 people. Well stocked for cooking, even some food, spices and toiletries were available. Comfortable bed and ample space for our things. A beautiful outdoor deck area is available and we ate all our meals on it. Miriam the property manager was amazing, very helpful and so friendly, thank you to Victor for guarding the property and Johnny for the wonderful meal and keeping the grounds so neat!.

Sanctuary- The Cabana Guest Cottage
Our 5-day stay in the Cabana Guest Cottage was wonderful. Marian and Jonny were welcoming and informative. The tiny-house utility of the cottage was easy to get accustomed to. Although the shower is tight/narrow it got the job done.
We definitely recommend and hope to come back. There are many enjoyable aspects to the cabana but the location is the best part of this place. 🐬

Perfect Island Getaway
We loved our stay here! Although it is a “tiny house” everything is so well thought out and the space is perfectly utilized. We were greeted with fresh fruit and flowers from the grounds. Miriam and Johnny were excellent hosts and we felt very special and safe during our stay. They answered all my questions and made great suggestions. The snorkeling right off the property was superb. It isn’t unusual to see dive boats out there. The WiFi was excellent and we enjoyed watching Netflix at bedtime. The air conditioner worked great, too. The kitchen has everything we needed. Miriam will gladly arrange for a taxi if you need one, but you can also walk to the road and grab one on your own if you need one at the last minute. It was just a 5 minute walk on the beach to Tranquilseas, where we went diving with Sea Divers. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We will definitely be back!

Awesome
Perfect little spot in Sandy Bay. Great hosts, always clean, night guard, and good snorkeling out front. Fishing too if you’re a fisherman. Thanks Johnny, Miriam, and Victor!

Beachfront Tiny House with dolphins
These accommodations are a true “Tiny House” - with all of the effective use of limited space. The experience works because the staff (Miriam and Johnny) are onsite and very committed to assuring guests a great experience. They surprise you with fresh fruit picked on the property and assist with any of your needs. The proximity of the Anthony Key’s dolphin encounter (only 30 yards from the end of the pier) provides a front row seat to morning and afternoon entertainment as the dolphins are fed and encouraged to perform. While the Cabana is only large enough for two, we would love to have a return visit.

On the beach loveliness.
We enjoyed this beautiful bungalow with just my wife and I. The welcome was warm and courteous. We snorkeled 3 times a day straight from the dock. From the same dock we watched the marina where they rehabilitated dolphins. The guy next door owns a boat and is also a taxi driver who can give tours, light fishing, or take you to town. The bang for buck was amazing for this beach bungalow.

A cottage in an arboretum
Tranquil, mostly quiet rustic studio cottage on the beach within a property covered with tropical fruit trees.

Amazing retreat! Amazing view!
The entire staff at this property were amazing and very attentive to all of our needs! My wife and I had an amazing time relaxing on the dock, snorkeling, and watching the dolphin shows right from this property! We will definitely come back again!

lovely stay in Roatan
The Sanctuary was a great place to relax , a quiet part of the Island. From the time we arrived at the airport until we left , our property manager and staff made sure we were well taken care of. The cabana was all we expected, loved the front porch! Location was great for us . We would love to come back again!

Lovely
The cabana is in an amazing location, quiet, private, lovely sunsets and great property manager. Very cozy and comfortable, exactly the experience we were looking for! Easy to get places, but everything you need is close by. We can’t wait to go back!

Perfect romantic getaway and right on the beach!
This was perfect for a quick romantic getaway and had everything we needed including drinking water and A/C. Miriam and the staff were so welcoming and took good care of us. Loved that the reef was so close and they had snorkel gear for us too. We were right on the beach and the deck is awesome. Will definitely book again.

Why can they charge this much per night?Because you think the location is great and you don't know any better about the cabana. My wife said 2 stars. I gave 3 stars because I hate to feel rude. The location didn't change, but the quality of the facility? The pictures look good. Now add 10 years of wear and weather. To the dock. To the bathroom. To the kitchen. Etc.It's romantic in it's own way, but for the $$$, you can find better facilities with equally good beach space.I mean, even a shack on the beach should have a blender! Seriously. Arrival gift basket? No. (Didn't care but was advertised.)Coconut oil for bug repellent in gift basket? No basket. (Didn't care but was advertised.)Beach towels? No.Mid week cleaning? No.Mid week towel exchange? No. And with this much humidity - you'd like a new one.Dish soap? No.Bathroom soap? No.Clean? You wonder what will crawl out from under the mattress at night.Working TV? Didn't really care; tried it out of curiosity. Couldn't get anything to happen.Just lots of little things that you wouldn't think would make a difference in paradise. But they do.Guests in the purple house next door (same owner) said it had leaks. Fortunately none were over the beds. They were out on Sat about 10:00 am after 2 weeks of stay. Next arrivals came in at noon. Wow! That was fast cleaning! Yeah, ours wasn't that clean either. (Remember reading about the "bleach cleaning every week"? Normally that would get rid of the cobwebs and leave a clean type of smell. It didn't. Hey, it's hard to keep a beach shack clean, I get that, but they've done a good job with their PR that made me think otherwise. (Some of this info is found on owners personal website.)Local staff was friendly, responsive and trustworthy. Dolphin pen was very close to end of dock and we could watch them play and put on the show for those who paid to get inside with them.Snorkeling? Average. Murky. But what you have is almost exclusively yours. But do you want great quality? As much as I don't like the touristy area - the snorkeling within yards of the beach at West Bay was exceptional. Crowded with people, but lots of sea life. You know what it's like when you're traveling by auto and you get one of those cheap motels to spend a quick night and get back on the road the next day? So you deal with the deterioration of the room? It's like that.Do yourself a favor. Either get this for about $50 bucks a night or spend your $$ elsewhere.
