The position very close to everything. Staf

On arrival given one room and the aircon only blew out cold air. They moved us to another room the sink plug not working so had to just take the plug out. The shower water was very cold no matter what we did with the gauge. Watermark from a previous link poss from above On the wall. The carpet corner turned up which became a trip hazard in the middle of the night when need to use the toilet.

The rooms are great, got a complimentary upgrade which was nice too.

The second lift is still out of service and found the stairs quicker than waiting for the one that does work. Really disappointed with breakfast as the last time I stayed it was the standout thing, this time sadly they opted for a Buffet style and help yourself which I’m not against just not what I expecting from a hotel that typically provides waiter/waitress service

Trendy, modern beautiful food, great location and lovely staff

Trend room, beautiful reception and restaurant, friendly staff. It was my friends birthday and they gave us free cocktail each in the bar which was a thoughtful personal touch. Beautiful breakfast

The Alan is an excellent hotel,we will stay again in the near future.

The location, the staff, the room all were great. Nice bar area and the breakfast was lovely. Freshly made and bespoke to your requirements.

My partner likes to have a dressing table to sit at whilst doing her hair, she had to stand next to the mirror. The kettle had to be put on the floor to reach the plug socket.

Would recommend to anyone staying in Manchester, we would stay again.

The room was beautiful, spacious and clean. There was water in the room on arrival, tea and coffee, toiletries and a steamer for clothing. Couldn't have asked for anymore, we really enjoyed our stay.

Nice location ,.but not happy with the hospitality

I liked the location and the room was cute as well

I didn't like that I got a bottom floor with the view of the dustbin. I paid for breakfast, but never managed to get any hot breakfast cause the kitchen staff kept saying "we opened late today", and I had to leave by 9am.

A lovely boujee stay away from the kids ✌🏼

The room was lovely, breakfast was super tasty and the cocktails were incredible! I stayed for a work event so we were there ready to start at 845am rather than drive 3 hours in the morning. Me and a friend chose to take the train on Friday instead- was easy to get to from the train station, rooms ready on arrival, a really good location to get Bolt taxi to shopping at the Trafford centre, a really good night sleep, lovely breakfast & they looked after our luggage the whole time we was at the event downstairs.

Would have been better if cocktails were served a little later, we wanted to go back to the hotel for one drink before going to bed as it was the best cocktail we had had all evening, we had some issues getting a taxi back which meant we arrived back at 11:10pm to find out no more cocktails after 11pm unfortunately.

Very nice room ideal for a family of 4 adults. The hotel reception and breakfast area is really lovely

Muy desagradable!

Es un hotel que quiere parecer elegante y medio snob pero no cumple con características básicas necesarias para el confort de un pasajero.

Me bañé en la tina en la noche y a la madrugada, fui al baño y estaba todo mojado. La tina tenia una filtración y eso fue muy desagradable. Estaba todo mojado, tuve que abrir la ventana porque había mucha humedad en la habitación. La respuesta del hotel fue "disculpas" y para mi creo que requiere otra compensación.

It was fine, I was expecting an overall better experience.

The decor downstairs was great, chic & modern. The bar & waiting staff were fantastic and personable. The speaker in the room was a good touch, the overall decor of the room was nice and the beds were lovely and comfy.

The bathroom just wasn’t great, it was dusty with some mould (especially on the shower curtain) and just didn’t seem in keeping with the overall aesthetic. The air conditioning unit sounded like running water constantly. Limited amount of plug sockets and the ones that were there were the opposite side of the room to where you’d typically want them (also maybe check your PAT testing dates…). Even though the room was nice, it was really quite dusty and there seem to only be lights in half of the room which makes it a bit difficult if it’s dark or the curtains are closed. The check in staff were quite rude & dismissive (except for the gentleman, he was very helpful) and they just really weren’t that helpful seemingly actively avoiding customer interaction even if you were stood there and made it feel like you were beneath them and it just wasn’t really that pleasant.

Wir werden nicht wiederkommen

Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer funktionierte nicht, und es war zunächst kein anderes Zimmer frei. Außerdem war der Mülleimer noch mit unappetitliche Ding der vorherigen Gäste gefüllt. uns wurde zunächst nur angeboten, dass ein Ventilator ins Zimmer gestellt wurde. Diese Unterkunft war nicht besonders sauber. der Erhaltungszustand ist schlecht. Wir konnten dann später das Zimmer wechseln, dort funktionierten jedoch einige Lichter nicht und auch der Safe ließ sich nicht öffnen. insgesamt kein erfreulicher Aufenthalt.

Lovely hotel and a bit different, but the staff at breakfast we felt could have seated us where we requested to sit.

Roomly, clean, great location , good breakfast.

Just a couple of niggles, drinks were very expensive in the bar. At breakfast we asked for a booth table but we were told these were reserved for four guests and were seated on a table which was too small. And the booth table we’d requested wasn’t even used.

Fantastic boutique hotel

Stunning decor, very large rooms, comfortable beds and spacious clean en suite. I loved the interior style and that you can connect your apps to the TV in the room to watch the likes of Netflix/Amazon Prime etc

Water could have been kept cold in the fridge (I travelled on a very hot day!), other colleagues stayed a few floors above and rooms were very different in terms of layour/interior style so worth noting.

Great location for the tram

Parking was close by however by the time we picked up our hire car it was already booked out. Had to park 15 minutes walk away. Would have been good if the hotel could have reserved it for us

Wasn’t worth the price

The bathroom was nice and the bed was really comfy. The speaker was good and the TV.

The electrics kept going off and we had to sit and wait for them to come on. This kept happening but we managed to have a shower when we got the lights back on. We told the staff in the morning. I was excited to stay here because of the rustic vibes but it actually just looked a bit dirty. There was pen on the wall in the rooms and lids and wrappers on the floor near the bin, from the people who stayed the night before. I choose to stay here over another hotel for my partners birthday. We wouldn’t go back to this hotel. I paid £100 for the night and I just don’t think it was worth that for the facilities included.

the shower wasn’t great, took ages to get to the correct temperature and the shower gel & hand soap smelt awful. Also no plug sockets next to the beds and room was VERY dark, more lighting needed as we found this difficult when getting ready

Different stylish excellent location very much a city vibe.

Breakfast was very good freshly cooked large portions . Good choice of fruit juices to accompany the breakfast.

Superb

Lovely little room "Standard Double" - lovely staff, young & modern vibe. Very clean, good mattress, nice bathroom. Great view from the top floor onto Manchester roof line.

Not terribly keen on the coffee in bags provided in the room, so we bought our own. Also make sure you double-check what you get with your drinks as ordering a G&T or Bourbon & Coke in huge price differences depending on what they recommend to you. For a long drink, we would have gone for a cheaper option. Room was a bit hot, did not see any obvious button for regulating temperature.
